Jotaro sighed as he sat on the hotel bed, embarrassed about the day. He and the rest of the crusaders were exploring a busy, crowded, and noisy town in India. Jotaro didn't remember the name, but frankly didn't give a shit about it. Anyway, as they were walking, Jotaro saw Kakyoin start to trip, and rushed over to him. In his moment of panic, time seemed to stop.
Next thing he knew, he was lying on top of Kakyoin in the busy street. He hesitantly opened his eyes and looked up, seeing Polnareff and Joseph snickering at him. Jotaro felt his face get hot as he stood up. Pulling the brim of his hat over his eyes, he looked down at an extremely flustered Kakyoin.
"You okay." Jotaro said as he offered a hand to help Kakyoin up.
"I'm- fine." Kakyoin mumbled as he tried to stand up on his own. The 'suddenly being pushed to the ground by your friend who is practically a fridge' thing really knocked the wind out of him though, so after a moment he finally accepted Jotaro's hand.
Jotaro smiled faintly as he thought about how soft Kakyoin's hands were. His were rough and calloused but-
Jotaro froze, internally panicking about his gay thoughts. His mental shutdown was interrupted by Kakyoin.
"Uh, Jotaro? You're still uh- still holding onto my hand... Are you okay?" There was obvious discomfort in his voice, poorly masked by Kakyoin trying to be polite.
"Oh. Sorry." Jotaro immediately let go and glared at Polnareff, who was trying very hard to contain his laughter.
Kakyoin put his hands into his pockets, turning away from Jotaro. Also internally panicking, it was at times like these he wished he had a hat to cover his face with.
"Aw, what a cute couple..! I remember back in my teenage years-" Joseph was cut off thanks to a punch in the stomach from Jotaro.
"I'm going to kill you, JiJi!" Jotaro shouted as he summoned Star Platinum. Avdol stepped in, trying to diffuse the situation.
Kakyoin let out a sigh as he watched everything go down. Jumping slightly, he felt a hand on his shoulder. He looked over at the culprit quickly.
"Hey bud, calm down!" Polnareff chuckled. "This whole situation is pretty wacky, huh!"
"Yeah..." Kakyoin mumbled, looking away.
"You like him, don't you." Polnareff whispered to Kakyoin giddily.
Kakyoin looked back at him, feeling his own face get hot again. "Uh-"
"Don't bother trying to hide it, mon ami!" Polnareff giggled quietly.
"Jean, I don't speak French." Kakyoin said plainly, trying to change the subject.
Suddenly Polnareff plastered an evil grin on his face. "Well, if you're not gonna tell him, I will."
"Wait, shit, don't..!" Kakyoin moved to stop him, but froze as Polnareff ran to the other crusaders. Kakyoin buried his face in his hands, fully aware of how absolutely fucked he was.
"Kakyoin." He would be lying if he said he didn't jump. Jotaro stood in front of him with a blank expression.
"Polnareff said you had something to tell me." Jotaro shrugged, looking back at Polnareff. Kakyoin looked up, and glared at Polnareff before looking back at Jotaro. Shit, he had to make something up real quick.
"Uh, do you think we should stop for food and stuff for the night? I'm really tired..." Kakyoin trailed off, trying to hide his nervousness.
"Sure. Oi, JiJi! Kakyoin thinks we should stop for the night. It is pretty late after all." Jotaro nodded and looked behind him, shouting at Joseph.
"Oh, Okay! Avdol, do you know anywhere?" Joseph smiled politely and looked at his friend.
"I'm not quite sure of any locations, but we can look around." Avdol replied simply.
"Okay! Let's go, gang!" Joseph chucked and began to walk in a random direction. Jotaro sighed and rolled his eyes before him and Kakyoin followed.

Jotaro lies in the hotel bed, thinking about a lot of things. Joseph and the rest had gotten a one bed room for him and Kakyoin, the sneaky bastards. Kakyoin was currently in the shower, which gave Jotaro a bit of time to relax. He allowed his mind to wander through various topics until he remembered that split second before he had fallen on top of Kakyoin. He tried to recreate the moment, and think about what was going through his head, and eventually he succeeded.
Everything appeared grey for a split second, before turning back to normal. He let out a quiet sigh, feeling exhaustion take hold. That ability, whatever it is, was taking up a shit-ton of energy.
"Hey, I'm done." Kakyoin walked out of the bathroom wearing his striped pajamas. In his arms was his school uniform, neatly folded up.
"Do you have any spare clothes? I was thinking it'd be a good idea to wash 'em before we left." Kakyoin shrugged and sat next to Jotaro.
"I dunno. We could go buy some." Jotaro yawned.
"I think we should go now, before you fall asleep." Kakyoin said as he set his clothes onto the bed.
"Mmno... I don't wanna...." Jotaro mumbled as he shut his eyes.
"Jotaro, please." Kakyoin let out an exasperated sigh and rolled his eyes. He subconsciously knew Jotaro wouldn't say no to him.
"Just- gimme a sec..." Jotaro said before yawning again. After a few seconds he got up, looking at Kakyoin with tired eyes.
"It really isn't that late. I'm sure there's a store nearby." Kakyoin looked at Jotaro's jacket with slight confusion. "Doesn't that bother you?"
"What." Jotaro replied, not even bothering to make eye-contact.
"The chain on your coat. Seems like it would get in the way." Kakyoin glanced at Jotaro before putting his school uniform back on over his pajamas.
"Issa small price to pay for bein cool..." Jotaro mumbled as he stood up.
"...Excuse me a second." Kakyoin rushed into the bathroom, returning with a cup of water. Silently, he splashed the water on Jotaro's face.
"Wh- hey! The hell was that for!" Jotaro mentally woke up instantly due to the cold water.
"That seemed to wake you up. Good. Let's go." Kakyoin quickly set the cup down on a nearby side table and opened the door, only to be stopped by Jotaro harshly grabbing his collar. He stumbled backwards into Jotaro, who immediately wrapped his arms around him.
Kakyoin squirmed, trying to escape Jotaro's grasp. "Lemme go!"
"No. This is what you get." Jotaro only tightened the hug, pretending not to notice how obviously flustered Kakyoin was.
"Please, let go- of me-" Kakyoin only struggles harder, eventually slipping out of Jotaro's hug.
"Aha! Now can we please go buy clothes. I wanna get it over with." Kakyoin seemed excited at first, before his expression went flat.
"Sure." Jotaro sighed before opening the door for Kakyoin. "Ladies first."
"Oh, you shut up!" Kakyoin couldn't help but chuckle at Jotaro's comment as he left the room. Jotaro smirked and followed him.

Kakyoin collapsed on the bed. He had put his and Jotaro's clothes into the washing machine down the hall. Luckily they had scored a room nearby, so Kakyoin only had to wait an hour. Still, he couldn't help but feel lonely while Jotaro was taking his shower. It was strange, not having constant noise. He sighed, and got under the covers of the bed.
Meanwhile, Jotaro stood in the shower, trying again to stop time. This time, he had stopped it for a solid second. Letting out a sigh, he got out and changed into a dolphin t-shirt and sweatpants he and Kakyoin bought at the clothing store. He opened the bathroom door, feeling a chill go down his spine as he left the hot room. He saw Kakyoin splayed out in the bed, completely knocked out. Jotaro noticed a messily written note on the nightstand, and picked it up before reading it.
'Joot, if you're reading this, I need you to get our clothes from machine 6C. Just hang them out to dry cause I don't want anyone to steal them.
Okay bye
Kakyoin'
Jotaro smiled and set down the note. He quickly walked down the hall and retrieved the clothes before hanging them up around the room. He silently slipped into bed next to Kakyoin while trying to move him into a better position. Kakyoin opened his eyes a little, still half asleep.
"Ohhijoot... I'm tired so imma sleep..." he barely mumbled before hugging Jotaro and falling back asleep. Jotaro snuggled into Kakyoin and eventually also fell asleep.

Jotaro and Kakyoin sat next to each other in front of the fire. It had been a quite a few days since they had last stayed in a hotel, and decided to sleep under the stars that night. Kakyoin was leaning on Jotaro's shoulder, only a little sleepy as they looked at the night above them.
"Sure is pretty, huh." Kakyoin said quietly.
"Yep." Jotaro nodded, not looking away from the stars.
"Honestly, I can't wait until we get home." Kakyoin sighed.
"Why?" Jotaro looked over at him with slight concern.
"I miss the cherry trees. In the garden at my house, we have so many. They're beautiful when they bloom." Kakyoin smiled faintly, before rubbing both of his eyes.
"And I guess I should've told my parents before going on a trip across the globe." Kakyoin chuckled weakly, feeling his eyes begin to water.
"Hey, it'll be okay. I'll get you home safe and sound." Jotaro tried his best to console his friend with his words, but upon realizing that Kakyoin had no reaction, wasn't sure what else to do. He came up with an idea, and silently stopped time. He moved closer to Kakyoin and kissed him on the cheek lightly. Quickly moving away, he noticed time was moving again.
He took his hat off of his head and lightly set it onto Kakyoin's messy red hair. He saw Kakyoin's face get red and smiled faintly. Kakyoin hugged Jotaro's side without a second thought as warm tears fell down his face.
"Th-Thanks... JoJo..." Kakyoin mumbled into Jotaro's jacket. Jotaro nodded and positioned himself in a way where he could hug Kakyoin easier.
//And that's the first chapter of the rewrite! I'm very proud of it, considering the original was around 300 words long, and this remake is over 1700! Anyway, thanks for reading and I'll get the next out ASAP.
