The next few days were full of all kinds of family bonding. I was out with the girls while the guys were helping Nik set up for his proposal later tonight. We were getting our nails done then we would be on our way to get massages and then back home to get ready for the 'party' tonight. At least that is what Caroline thought was going on tonight.
We were all talking and laughing having an amazing time. I was setting in-between Caroline and Lilly, who was talking to Rebekah nest to her. I turned a little to Caroline.
"So, are you enjoying yourself?"
"I am, I'm glad I listened to you, I don't think I have been this happy ever, so thank you."
"Of course, Caroline everyone deserves to be able to have a happy ending no matter what it my be for them. Everyone should be able to be happy."
"Do you think Klaus is happy?"
"I have never seen him this happy before, why do you ask?"
"He's just seamed a little off this whole trip and I was not sure if it was something that I might have done."
"Trust me you are perfect for Nik, he's just not use to all of this. His family together and all getting along, friends being happy and the most amazing woman for him being the person he loves and loves him back. He is someone that thinks that he doesn't deserve love at all. But I think with everyone especially with you showing him that he is worth it, that he is finally starting to think it as well which he should because we all do love him, Right?"
"I have never and never will love anyone the way I love him."
"Well good, I think things will be just fine then." I smiled at her and looked to the others. We were all lucky that we had all found one another.
It was so nice to finally be happy surrounded by everyone that I loved. Once we were done at the salon, we made our way to the spa.
I was in a room with Lilly just the two of us.
"So how do you think tonight will go mom?"
"I think it will be a pretty amazing and magical night everyone is slowly finding their own piece of happiness."
"It is nice seeing the family so happy."
"What about you sweetheart are you happy?"
"I am this is something I have wanted for so long. You and dad all these amazing aunts and uncles, yes there is a part of me that wishes I could still have my kids with me and that you were able to meet them. But I am also just so happy that they were able to live out their own beautiful life's. Find their own happy endings, and we have so many dependents now because of them. In fact, one lives close by what would you say about going to meet her after this we have a little bit of time and she knows the truth. I know she would love to meet you she has always loved all of the stories."
"I would love to meet her; I will let the others know we will meet them at the house, and you set up the meeting." We were already done and just waiting for the others anyway.
"I will go call her."
"Ok I will meet you in the lobby." I quickly told the others that we would meet them at home and headed to the lobby making my way over to Lilly.
"Are you ready?"
"Yes, she said come on over." We walked out to the car and she drove because she knew where we were going.
Once we got there, we both got out and walked up to the house and knocked on the door. A moment later the door opened and there stood a girl in her early 20's and she looked a lot like both Lilly and I. If someone were to see us all together, they would think we were all sisters.
"Hello Sara"
"Lilly its so good to see you, please come in both of you." We followed into the house and she led us into a living room.
"Please have a seat."
"You have a beautiful home" I said.
"Thank you" she picked up a baby from the swing before setting down.
"How old is she?"
"Almost three weeks."
"She's beautiful, you look amazing as well." Lilly told her.
"Well thank you, little Elijah should be up from his nap soon as well."
"You named him Elijah?" I asked her surprised.
"I did, I was not to far along with him when Lilly told me the story about you and I told my husband that if it was a boy I wanted to name him Elijah and a girl Isabella. We had him and then we had her and named her Isabella. Lilly told me your whole story while I was pregnant will Isabella after Lilly had found you all."
"I'm honored that you would name her after me."
"Would you like to hold her?"
"I would love to hold her." She passed the little girl over to me and my heart melted as I looked at her. It was the moment I had wanted between Lilly and I when she was born but that moment and so many more were stolen from us. Looking down to the little baby in my arms I smiled at the beautiful people that came from one of the worst nights of my life.
"She truly is beautiful."
"Thank you, I think she has a lot of the same features of myself. I can ever see some of both of you in her as well." Just then a little boy walked into the room rubbing his eyes.
"Mama" he said, and Sara held her arms open to him.
"Did you enjoy your nap?"
"Yes, I was flying so fast mama."
"Were you?"
"Yes, who are they mama?"
"This is some very special family, Bella and Lilly."
"Bella like sisters name?"
"Yes, and Elijah who you are named after is with her, they will be getting married.
"Can I meet him?"
"Would you like to meet him?" I asked and they both smiled at me.
"I want to" he said with a huge smile on his face.
"Well we are doing something latter tonight but if tomorrow works for you we would love to be able to get together how does that sound to you?"
"We would love that; we could meet whenever your ready we have no plans for tomorrow."
"Well we will call, and we can meet whenever works for all of us."
"That sounds amazing." We went on for the next hour talking an playing with the kids before we said our good byes to get home so we could be ready for tonight, but promised to see each other the next day. Once we were back into the car, we started to make our way back to the house.
"That was amazing."
"I know I always love spending time with different people that are our descendants. All of these amazing people in the world because of you mom, your bravery and love."
"Well thank you my darling."
"Your welcome." We made our way back to the house to be ready for tonight. Once we got to the house we went in and both headed to our rooms to get dressed. I walked into my room and Elijah was in there getting ready.
"Where were you and Lilly?"
"We went and met a relative."
"A relative as in?"
"A great great whatever grandchild yes."
"How was that?"
"It was pretty amazing Lilly and I are going to meet up with them again tomorrow and wanted to know if you would like to come?"
"I would love to be there?"
"Good, I'm going to quickly get ready"
"Alright my love." I went to change and put on a blue dress lightly curling my hair. I walked back out to Elijah who was also ready.
"Let's go find the others and head out." We found all the others and headed out. We had a half hour tell sunset and had to get going if we were going to make it.
We were heading to a beautiful place were Nik was going to propose. There was some fresh snow and a beautiful gazebo that the boys had decorated earlier, and it was going got be amazing. Once we all got there, we made our way out and Nik took the lead with Caroline up the path. Once we were up, we could see the gazebo and the sun was just starting to set. There were lights hanging and flower petals all over the place. Nik lead Care up to the gazebo and was standing inside the rest of us stayed back and did some pictures and Nik had Rebekah filming it.
"Caroline you mean the world to me you are the sunlight in my world that was an endless night. You showed me love when I though it was something I would never have or get. You have helped me to be a better man to fix things with my family. I am a whole new person because of you, and I want to be better for you and what we have. I want to spend my forever with you, to love you and show you the world, to give you the world." Nik got down on one knee.
"Caroline Forbes will you marry me?" He pulled out the ring and showed her.
"Of course, I will Nik." He slipped the ring on her and they kissed. The rest of us cheered and went to congratulate them. We then spent the rest of the night celebrating and parting.
