Author's POV
Next Day (Singhania Industries)
Rey was in his office carrying out his work while his parents were at Shekhawat mansion to finalise the date of their marriage. Yesterday, after Taani walked out on him she left the house urgently saying she has work so they could not come up with a date and decided to call the priest today but she was at site of her new fashion house so only the parents were there to decide it. Rey knew that she was just avoiding meeting him and nothing else but he gave her time nonetheless. He was in his cabin when his phone rang, his dad was calling him,
"Rey, the priest is suggesting two dates, one after two months and second a year. Taani is is agreeing for two months later, you too tell us which is okay for you?" Ranvijay told him making him confused.
Why would Taani agree for marrying so early when she is not doing it happily? Something is fishy!
He thought when he heard Ranvijay speak again,
"Rey, bolo beta."
"Yeah Dad, I am too fine with it." Rey replied still pondering over her decision when Ranvijay exclaimed happily,
"That's great! Will see you at home beta. Bye!"
"Bye Dad!" He cut the call thinking hard,
Something is definitely wrong. Till yesterday she even hated seeing my face and now when she is getting a chance of escaping this marriage for a year she wants to marry me in two months. I am sure something is going on in her mind, or is it because she finally wants to give us a chance. Yeah, that can happen too, right? What if she is ready to forgive me and start a new. Maybe that's why she agreed. Is it?
A big grin came on his face at the thought of her forgiving him and being with him forever. His attention was suddenly grabbed by his phone which was buzzing again. It was an unknown number making him frown. He picked up the caller when the person said something to him,
"I am coming!"
Saying this he cut the call and sprang up from his chair he left his office for meeting the person.

The driver stopped the car in front of the building where Rey was to meet the person who called him. He came out of the car and entered the 7-star hotel, without asking at the reception he walked towards the elevator with his guards in toe. He reached the fifth floor where the presidential suites were and walked towards room 523. He asked the guards to wait outside and rang the bell when a man whom he recently started disliking so much opened the door.
What the hell is he doing in there. I know he is her assistant but why is he always near her like a shadow?
Karan passed him a blank look seeing the man in front of him give him killer gazes but inside he was scared head to toe. If looks could kill he knew he would be long dead by now. Rey entered the room crossing him and came across her standing in front of the huge glass door which separated the open terrace of the hotel room and her living. She was in her designer business attire as usual looking beautiful and sexy at the same time.
Taani turned towards him hearing his footsteps announcing his arrival. He admit he was shocked for a minute when his assistant called him saying she wants to meet him in her hotel room urgently. He thought that she might want to discuss about their marriage date seeing it has been fixed now and also why she agreed on marrying him early. He looked for any positive expressions on her face that would hint him that she was ready to forgive him and give him a second chance but her face was blank as usual making it very difficult for him to read her like before. He began assuming she was not going to say something first,
"You wanted to meet me?"
She nodded before gesturing him to take a seat, he settled himself on the couch while she sat across him with Karan behind her.
"What would you have, coffee, drink or anything?" She asked formally while he hated her formal behavior with him. She was behaving as if he was a business client instead of the person she loved a lot once upon a time and her soon to be going husband. He remembered the time when she would talk so freely with him, talk all the stuff and would blabber nonsense making cute faces which sometimes irritated him but now how he wished to hear her blabber again like that. He puts his thought aside and replied to her,
"Coffee would do."
She gestured Karan to prepare coffee and the guy did passing their cups to them, Rey took a sip before placing his cup back on table and turning to her,
"So you wanted to talk about something?" He asked curiously, all hopes of her forgiving him going down the drain seeing her cold and dry behavior with him.
She took the file Karan passed to her and give it to him,
"What is this?" Rey asked confused when she nonchalantly said,
"Read on." Rey opened the file and read the content inside the file which set his blood on fire. He turned to her with anger blazing in his eyes but he tried to keep patience knowing his anger would not do them any good, it never did in past.
"What is the meaning of this Taani? How could you?" He asked enraged while she shrugged her shoulders still with a blank expression,
"What is wrong with this, its beneficial for both of us."
"Are you out of your mind Taani, what made you bloody think that I would have a fucking contract marriage with you?" He spat out holding the contract in his hand which stated that they would be married for only six months and then part ways on mutual basis.
"Listen Rey, first of all its nothing wrong in it. Many people do it specially in business world and that's what I want, we both cannot deny marrying but we can surely break it on mutual consent after our deals are done. You would be the heir and I would get what I want and then aap apne raste or mai apne. And aapne soch bhi kese liya that I would agree to spend my whole life with you. I would never do that even if you are the last man on this planet. So plz sign the papers for me, we marry in front of world and then go separate ways. Its win-win." She completed not knowing the effects her words had on him. If he was angry than before was an understatement because now his whole self was filled with fury while his heart break in pieces at her sharp knife like words which fueled his anger further more. He turned towards Karan who was looking at Taani praying she would stop what she was saying knowing she was waking up the beast. The whole world was aware of Reyansh Singhania's anger and she was instigating him playing with fire right now.
"I would say it only once, leave this room and lock the door." Rey told him making him nod afraid and leaving in hurry, as soon as the door closed behind them leaving them locked inside alone with each other, Rey took large steps towards her decreasing the distance in two long strides before grabbing her by the arms and making her stand on feet by force. His hand had a steel grip on her arm making her wince in pain, she was trying to shake her arms trying to come out of his grip making him more angry,
"Rey, what the hell, you are hurting me, leave me this instant. How dare you touch me like this." She spat at him trying to free herself from his grip when he finally lost the last bits of patience he managed to have gripping her other arm as well pulling her deadly close to him he pushed her making her back hit the wall while he captured her in his arms.
"How dare I, How dare you Taani?" He shouted aloud making him shiver at her place, her eyes widened seeing him seething in pure rage, she surely has witnessed his angry side before but it was never this intense. He always tried to keep his calm with her and spoke to her softly, him speaking her like this was new to her, she was truly scared out of her wits but she tried to not show it on her face.
"What made you think that I would even sign this bloody contract, that's how low you think of me. I don't care what the world does or not do you get that, you need to remember that I wasn't afraid of commitment before and I am not even now. Even all those years ago I was in denial of you losing yourself in our love but I never said that I would not marry you, in fact I always wanted to marry and settle down with you and have a family. So now if you fucking think that I would give you a freaking divorce because of all that happened in past then you are highly mistaken, I would not give you a divorce, hear it loud and clear and drill this thing in your head and heart.." He grabbed her arms again too tightly making her whimper in slight pain he pulled her closer if that was possible and said loudly making his point clear,
"I WOULD NOT LEAVE YOU, I WOULD NOT LET YOU MARRY ANYONE ELSE, YOU ARE MINE EITHER I AM THE LAST MAN ON PLANET OR NOT, YOU ARE MINE FOREVER AND THE DAY I WOULD LET YOU GO WOULD BE THE MOMENT I DIE!"
He left her with a jerk making her back collide with the wall, her eyes were wide open in shock while her whole body trembled with fear. He was still looking at her with furious eyes before he walked towards the table and took the contract papers out of the file before he tore them and threw them in the dustbin making her realize he was dead serious.
He walked towards the door and opened it before turning towards her who still leaned taking the support of the wall looking at him in shock, he wanted to leave the place but seeing her tremble in fear and in this state made him filled with sadness. He again closed it with a thud before walking back towards her, he again trapped her body between him and the wall, his large figure towering her petite one, he caught her by waist before bringing her closer to him crashing his chest with hers, he inhaled her scent, her fragrance calmed him down,
"Why do you do this, I try so much not to lose my temper in front of you. I try so much not to be the beast I am but you clearly know how to pull my triggers." He spoke while she gazed at him silently all the while. He put the hair strand away from her face which was blocking his view making her close her eyes, he leaned down kissing her eyelids hating to be the reason of fear in her brown orbs where he always loved to see innocence and love for him.
"I love you so much Taani and you know that, so much that I am ready to give anything to you. I'll even lay the world on your feet, just forgive me jaan." He said his voice pleading, Taani came to her sense hearing him, the fear in her eyes was now replaced by emptiness, her eyes going blank again. Rey saw her eyes going lifeless again making him sigh in defeat when she spoke,
"Then leave me, I am asking you to leave me, I don't want to do anything with you. I don't want this marriage. Leave me alone and never make me see your face again."
His jaw hardened again as soon the words left her mouth, he replied firmly,
"Anything but that." She scoffed before pushing him off from her and turned towards the window,
"Then I don't have anything to say, you may leave."
He looked at her helplessly before leaving from there defeated. He left the hotel asking his driver to take him to the academy. He badly needed to dance right now, the only thing which would give him peace after all that happened today. Whereas Taani sat locked in her hotel room repeating their conversation again and again in her mind. She knew marriage is not a kids play, she knew she was wrong but so many years of pain has made her oblivious to what is right and wrong. All she knows is that she cant afford to have that man break her again, she knew once he enters her life he would break all the boundaries she had built around herself, she would be miserable again, she is aware of the effect he has on her, coz after all these years it took him only a day to make her act so irrationally whereas the present Taani always took decisions after thinking a lot, she was practical and now just to protect herself she again took a decision from her heart. If that's the effect of a single day then what would happen after they get married. Only time would tell that!
