I knew a star-gazer
(Once)
She had twinkling eyes
A hopeful heart
One single telescope
And a sky full of stars.

I knew a star-gazer
(Once)
He had a curious mind
A wonderful thought
One single telescope
And a sky filled with stars.

I knew a star-gazer
(Once)
Head in the clouds
Far away in distant galaxies
Iridescent nebulas
And burning stars.

But the star-gazer I knew
Looked so far up into the sky
That {his/her} eyes
Became stars in the sky
