ECG: How did you come up with the cover?
Vernil:
"So I chose the background to be a run down world, destroyed by the virus, I took a png of the baby and 3D-ed it.
I took a picture of some futuristic signs and whatnot and made it into a hologram and also some VR goggles and put them on the baby.
2025 on the goggles show how he's looking at statistics and images of what 2025 is supposed to be.
Then it was all down to working on lights and shadows to make it look somewhat realistic.
The title immortal blue- the kids are immortal - the colour of the holograms that will save them.
There's also a hologram thingy inside the "blue" as well, to kinda tie everything together and make the title more interesting.
Subtitle: "the time we almost lost everything" - cos like- pretty obvious right? After that, I went into camera raw filter and finished everything off."

ECG: How did you come up with the cover?
"I started with a blank white layout.
I added several layers of orange smoke to the top to make the sky.
Then I found an image of a road. Added cracks and holes in it to give it an apocalyptic look. Next, I found a png if a school bus and added that. Next, I added the grass and mountains. Then came the sunlight.
Added some clouds. Then I added the crows. Next came the girl. Then the biohazard symbol. And finally the text. Added a lens flare under the text as well."
