five minutes left.. during the last period of the day, you had caught yourself glancing at the clock on the wall every two minutes or so. knowing that your friends wouldn't approve of your little plan with jeno, you had kept it a secret from them, a secret that they'd probably find out sooner or later.
"also, remember to read up on acids and bases for tomorrow.." your teacher's voice was blurry in a way, your mind elsewhere, and you only snapped out of the daze you were in when the bell rang. it took a few seconds to register that you were done with school for the day, and you stretched your arms over your head.
"y/n, are you coming?" you blinked and looked at yoojin who was looking at you with a headtilt. with a small smile you shook your head, only causing your best friend's eyebrows to furrow.
"i have to meet someone, i'll tell you about it later, i promise. now go, i'm sure our boys are waiting." a small giggle left you as you pushed her out of the door. yoojin turned around and gave you a look, a look telling you not to do something dumb.
"i promise i'm not doing something stupid! i promise." giving her a serious look, she finally sighed, giving in. "fine, i'll punch you if you do something stupid, mark my words!" with that, she ran down the hallway and out the doors to meet up with your boys. you watched her figure until she was completely out the doors, and you turned around, only to walk face first into a chest.
"well, hello there, gorgeous."
"hey jeno.. and jaemin." you gave the two a small smile, and jaemin grinned at you as you stared a bit confused at him. he put up his hands. "yeah, yeah, i'm leaving you two so you can be alone, i just wanted to say hi."
"i told him to just go, but he really wanted to say hi." jeno rolled his eyes and jaemin copied his actions before slinging an arm around you.
"now you two, have fun. but! not too much." he was very dramatic, you noted. at the last part his head whipped towards you, and he sent you a wink, before skipping down the hall as well.
"well, come with me gorgeous." jeno said, his eyes smiling, a sight that you hadn't really seen before. you felt a breath get stuck in your throat as you stared at him. then you nodded, snapping yourself out of it.
"how was your day?" at his question you blinked. how was your day? how had your day even been? you weren't quite sure. for some reason you didn't remember much of it. "oh, i don't remember much of it. i remember my chemistry teacher telling me something about bases and acids?"
a small hum left him, indicating he was listening, and he stopped in front of what you assumed to be his car. "how about you?" you found yourself asking, walking towards the car door. however, before you could open it yourself, he got in between you and the door, opening it for you with a small grin.
thump.
"my day? it was fine. nothing much happened." he shrugged, leaning down to put the seatbelt on you.
thump.
after doing that he shut your door, before walking to the other side. he opened the door and sat down beside you. as he was starting the car, you found yourself fiddling with your own hands before speaking up, "you know i could've done these things myself."
at your voice he had looked towards you, a new pink tint now present on your face. a small chuckle left him.
thump.
"i know. but i wanted to do it."
