(Marshall's POV)

2 years was too long. I can't believe that asshole of a judge, actually gave me 2 years. Okay, so I slashed a few tires... Big whoop. It's not like I murdered anyone. But nevertheless, today is a great day. I was going home today. To all my friends... To my dad... To my life. There was no explaining the joy I felt. I mean this place wasn't as bad as everyone made it out to be. In actuality, it was rather quite quiet. Nobody messed with anybody, other than the rare fights that would happen during lunch,  and when I say rate, I mean rare. To be completely honest, this place was just like high school,  except for teenage convicts. I for one am glad that I am graduating.

Wait... Do I hear footsteps? Yep, my turn to go.. If you could see my face, you'd think I won the lottery.

I should sit down... Act like I wasn't expecting it. I felt the small bed dip under my weight, and I'm glad this will be my last time sitting on this small cot.

I heard the most glorious sound,  as the police keys jingles on the other side of my cage.  Then the sound of the lock unmatched, replayed in my ears. The steel door opened, with a small creaking sound. Standing there was a slightly overweight police officer, name tag reading OFFICER WINSTON.

"Marshall Chase Jr... Let's go, you're being released today." I heard Winston say. To say I jumped up, was an understatement. I practically leaped up. I could see my cell mate grimace at me,  out of my peripheral vision. He was sour that he had another year in this place. I felt bad for him, but I wasn't planning on staying here with him.

I practically danced over to the officer, who looked less entertained by my happiness. He mumbled something under his breath, and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Alright,  let's go." I stated, patting the officer on the shoulder.

"Don't touch me." Winston warned. I couldn't help but smirk.

"Sorry honey... Just excited I guess." I joked. If there was one thing I'd miss about this dull place... It'd be the fact that I always messed with the officers. Always made them flustered with my "flirting" if you want to get technically. It made some uncomfortable, while it made others stiffen. If you know what I mean. I'm not gay, but I flirt with anything, boy or girl... But I'm never serious.

The officer walked me out to the front desk, so I could sign myself out (since I'm 19), and retrieve all of the items that I had when I went into the detention center. I made my way over to the desk, as Winston walked over to the main door. Another officer, Officer Jameson was waiting for me. Unlike Winston, I never saw this officer before, and I may never see him again, so let me just leave my mark.

He handed me a bag, with all of my belongings in them.  "Here's everything you came in with, converses, a v-neck, sweatpants, and a cellphone." I could hear Jameson say, but I was preoccupied with figuring out a way to make him uncomfortable.

"How about me, and you go back to my place, and I fuck your brains out?" The words left my lips seductively, and the way the male gulped softly, and his currently frozen state, made me smirk.

"H-how about I throw you back in your cell?" Jameson tried to sound threatening, but the shaking, and quivering of his voice betrayed him.

"As long as you can come too,  so I could tie you up, and play with you." I winked. I could see the thin layer of sweat appearing around his face

"I-I'm warning you." I could hear the stammer in his voice. I knew he was secretly enjoying this, but I have to cut this short. I've got places to go, people to see.

"Okay, I'm going... But don't hesitate to call me handsome." I joked, smacking the desk lightly. I then signed out, and grabbed my belongings, heading to the door where Winston stood.  "Alright... It's been a fun 2 years, but you gotta let me go Winston." I stated obviously. Winston smirked. I actually made a small friendship with the overweight cop, but that wasn't going to prevent me from leaving.

I watched as he pressed in the code that unlocked the door. Winston opened it,  and for me. "You're free to go Princess." Winston said. He was the only one who fired shots back at me, when I flirted with the officers  I couldn't help but chuckle, as I walked out. The sun hit my face,  showering me with warmth. It felt so rejuvenating. Yeah, we got to go outside daily, for exercise, or "recess", but there was a difference between freedom sunshine, and confined sunshine. Freedom sunshine felt SOOOOO much better.

The closer I got to the parking lot of the building,  the easier it was to see what I was looking for. I could feel my smile grow,  as I looked at the 3 figures standing before me.  As I stepped closer,  so did the male of the three.

James smiled, as he engulfed me in a brotherly hug. James Salvatore, one of my best friends since we were like 8/9. He grew,  and when I say he grew...  He grew.  He stood at a towering 5'11 to my 5'7. He had blond hair, and a chiseled face. To say that James was handsome would be a lie. The younger,  but taller male was beautiful. The Puerto Rican male released me from his grasp, and back away to let someone else step forward.

This time it was Kelly. "Bro, you're finally out." I hear her say. Kelly Magdenolia, we became friends during my years in middle school. She was older by 2 years, but she was still one of my closest friends. She was somewhat of a tomboy. She hated wearing girl clothes, always wearing timbaland boots, and sweatpants,  with crew neck shirts, and snap back hats. Don't get me wrong,  Kelly was gorgeous. She was rather short, standing at 5'3.  She had beautiful, black/brown hair,  that flowed down to the middle of her back, thanks to her Puerto Rican heritage. Her nose was slightly big,  but that only helped with the magnification of her beauty.

"Yeah,  I'm out...  Final-freaking-ly right?" I said with relief written over my face. She then stepped back, and I was greeted with arms wrapped around my neck. These arms belonged to Eleyna, my girlfriend.

"I've been waiting to hug your for over a year now."  I heard her whisper into my ear. I couldn't help the smirk on my face,  as I wrapped my arms around her hips. Eleyna Jackson, We started dating while I was in the juvenile center...  I know,  crazy right? Anyway,  we were the same height,  which was weird.  I was abnormally short,  for a 19 year old male.  She had wavy black hair,  that flowed to the upper area of her back. She was Puerto Rican/White, favoring her more Caucasian  side, due to her skin tone.

"Me too baby." slipped from my mouth. I then took her face in my hands, and pressed my lips to her slightly. Before she had time to react, I pulled away from her. I could see the dismay on her face. "So what's the plan for today?" I asked, looking at the 3 people in front of me. They looked at me curiously. This made me quirk an eyebrow questioningly in return.

"Today is your day... we're doing whatever you want to do." I heard James say, and one other person popped into my head. I can't believe he wasn't here. He probably doesnt even know. I should go visit him, but i need to go alone. It'll be more special.

"Can we all hang out tomorrow... I have an old friend to visit..." I began. They shook their heads in approval. We headed to Kelly's car. a black 2002 Saturn SL2. I sat in the passenger seat of the 2 door car, as Kelly headed to the destination that I gave her. I sat back in the seat, looking out the window, watching as the various colors flew by in a blur, as the car raced on the parkway.

I attempted to get some sleep, but that wasn't possible with James asking me numerous questions, and Eleyna touching me seductively was not helping. Somehow I managed to drift off into my thoughts. It wasn't sleep, but a daydream was the next best thing for sure. I felt the car start to decelerate, and it snatched me out of my thoughts. I looked around the proximity of the car, to see my old neighborhood. It still looked the same to me. A few new buildings, stores, and houses, but still looked the same nonetheless.

Strangely, my heart began to speed up, as Kelly pulled up to a familiar house. It was a beautiful 2 story house, white, with red window shutters, and a garage. Only one car was in the driveway. A black 2012 Buick Regal.

I stepped out of Kelly's car,  straightening my clothes. I waved goodbye to my companions, and girlfriend, as they began to leave. I watched as they drove to the end of the block, and made a right, disappearing from sight. I looked back at the house, and a thousand thoughts began racing through my mind.

Will he remember me? Is he still my best friend? Why hasn't he visited me the entire time I was in Juvie? Does he hate me? It's been so long... Does he still live here? I should just turn around... This was a stupid idea?

"Marshall?" A smooth voice said questionably, pulling me from my endless thoughts. There he was. Standing at the same height as James, 5'11. Light mocha skin tone, due to his Black/Hispanic heritage. He wore blue jeans, with a black v-neck, and black converses. His curly hair, that travel to the end of his neck, touching his shoulders, was kept in a neat little ponytail. He stood there, in his doorway, staring at me with such disbelief.

For some reason, seeing him made my mouth go dry. My best friend standing mere feet away from me, after 2 years. Even I couldn't believe it. I tried to respond, but nothing came out, so I did the next best thing. I nodded. I watched as he ran to me, eyes welling up with water. He jumped on me, wrapping his arms around me, nearly knocking me onto the ground. I couldn't help but chuckle, as he hugged me. I wrapped my arms around his waist, hugging him back.

I felt his body,  slightly convulsing,  and I realized he was crying. He was actually sobbing quietly on my shoulder. I pulled back,  to look him in the face. "You okay, why are you crying?"

He looked at me,  letting the tears slide down his face freely. "I'm fine... I just missed you so much." I heard him say.

"I've missed you too Kam." I breathed out, before pulling the boy back in for another hug.

It doesn't matter that I was gone for years.  It doesn't matter that he hasn't come to visit me the entire time I was in Juvie. It doesn't matter that we were both guys, and that people were looking at us with weird expressions, as they passed by. None of that matters, because I have my best friend back.
