Welcome back to "Author Rants at 3AM About Pointless Things," it's nice to see you here today.

I cannot- okay so let me just get it over with.

DO NOT- for the love of god- DO NOTTTT start your story like this:

"hI! My name is Kahoot. I'm 16 and I have blonde hair that lays at exactly 14 inches-"

No. If you do this I'm reporting you and saying you're a pedophile in the details. This is such a bad way to start your story! Find an alternative, like describe a dream the character is having, start at a random point in their day, start during a conversation they're having, wHATEVER.

Just PLEASE don't start introducing your character like this. Also, give some space for the reader to try and visualize what the character may look like and give minor clues throughout the story! It makes it more tolerable to read and gives the reader some creativity.
