i wake up from the light from my window glaring on my face, i sit up and flip my hair to the side and look at the mirror in front of me.
"oh you're awake" mattia comes in from my balcony
"i just woke up" i throw myself back on the bed
"i can tell" he lays on the bed
"im so tired" i close my eyes
"let's go get coffee i need you to be energized, imma make you put in work" he smiles pulling me close
"its so wrong mattia noooooo" i put a pillow on my face
"what's wrong cleo" he frowns m
"i feel so guilty" i sit up to put on my slides
"i do too" he looks down
"if you don't want her then why date her?" i go to put on a little bit of makeup
"i do like her, i just love you" he explains looking at the ceiling
"well you should choose her she's perfect" i say putting on this outfit
"you're perfect too" i look me in the eyes
"but she's more perfect obviously" i fix my hair
mattia was about to say something when the door bell rang
"let's go downstairs" i start going down
"i just want to know one question" he asks
"what" i get down the stairs about to open the door
"do you still love me?" he asks
"mattia i-..... liam?" i get exited and hug the guy at my door
"hey rose" he hugs me back
"why are you here" i look up at him
"i came to visit you" he smiles
"i missed you" i stay in the hug
"so did i" he rubs my back
"oh is this your boyfriend" he stops
mattia just stood and watched
"oh i'm sorry, mattia this is my childhood friend liam and liam this is my....friend mattia" i say awkwardly
"nice to meet you" liam shakes his hand so did mattia
"you too man" mattia looks jealous
"are you guys something or?" liam asks
before mattia can say anything "mattia has a girl friend" i look down
"ohhhh okay"
"how long are you staying for?" i ask him
"just today" he smiles
"let's hang out thennnn" i say moving into the kitchen
"where tho" he asks
"we can go into the city" she says drinking water
"i'll go" mattia says about to walk out
"nooooo can you please come" i skip his direction
"i don't wanna interrupt" mattia tries leaving
"just invite cristal pleaseeeeeee" i pout
"fine" he laughs
"wait" i run upstairs
"cristal forgot her glasses here yesterday" i give it to mattia
"i'll give it to her" he takes it from my hands
"okayyyy lets go"
we pick up cristal and head to the city
"left liam" i say as he turns right
"who thought it would be a good idea to let the guy who doesn't know the city drive" i look at him
"you did rose" he laughs
"shut up you're my bitch" i punch his arm
"oh cristal did mattia give you your glasses?" i ask
"yes thank youuuu i can't see with out them" she smiles
"omg neither can i, mattia lost my contacts once and it was the worst thing ever" i giggle
"i didn't lose them" mattia acts offended
"i told you to go pick them up from the pharmacy and you lost them in your car" i explain laughing
"mattia loses everything" cristal laughs
"literally" i giggle along
"okay i think we are here" liam pulls into a car garage
"wow good job" i say sarcastically
"i hate you" he laughs
"i love you" i smile
i can see mattia through the window i looked kinda mad but he's my friend he can't be mad
we walked around a little
"we should go to that store" i point at a jewelry store
"what do you need from in here?" liam asks me
"i broke my pendant the other day and i wanted to get another one"
we go in and was looking in at the pendants
one caught my eye, i was a gorgeous gold heart pendant with diamonds drawing out the outline of the heart
"it's beautiful isn't" a man in a suit comes to the counter
"yes it is" my eyes sparkle
"a lot of girls look at this one when they come in, but then look away when i tell them the price" he adds
"what's the price?" i look at him scared
"1,000"
"oh" i look in disappointment
i can see mattia's disappointment as he sees my face
"it's fine i'll get another one another time" i give a weak smile gripping on to my empty chain
a lot of shopping later, me and cristal had bags full of stuff
"i think you guys are done" liam grabs my shoulder and walks next to me
"who said i can't get one more thing" i pout
"i did, now let's go" he laughs
"do you remember our neighbor david" i ask him
"yeahhhh he still lives there" he tells me
"he was cute when we were little, you think he's cute now?" i giggle
"you thought everyone was cute, even me at one point" he laughs
"shut upppp" i shove him lightly
"you guys wanna go to my house?" cristal asks
"okay betttt" liam agrees
we drove to cristals and we went straight to the couch to look at the things we got
"dude thats so cute" cristal points at the mom jeans i got
"i told you about them when we were in the store cristal, there was a lot of them" i giggle
"i was too busy looking at this top" she giggles
"but that's cute too so it was worth it" i calm my laugh down
"do you guys to this every time" liam wraps his arms around me
i look at cristal and we just laugh, you know she isn't such a terrible person
"hey can i have some water" i ask her
"oh yeah follow me" get up and everyone else follows
"ugh i can't reach it" i say jumping for a cup
"here" liam pulls me up to his back
"stopppp, why couldn't you just help me get it asshole" i giggle
"i wanted for you to feel achieved" he laughs spinning me around
"liam stop spinningggg" i laugh getting dizzy
"wait can you take a picture" i give cristal my phone
"yeahhhh" she smiles

MATTIA'S POV
"shut up" she messes up liam's hair
"quit playing" he laughs
i can't watch this anymore
"cleo can i talk to you outside" i ask her
"yeah" she gets up and leads me out to the front yard
"what's up" she asks
"i can't watch you guys anymore" i sternly say
"me and liam? you know we are just friends" she explains
"sure" i say about to walk away
"why are you being like this right now" she stops me
"because i'm jealous OKAY, IS THAT WHAY YOU WANT TO HEAR?" i kinda yell
"don't ever raise your voice at me" her eyes start getting watery
"cleo..." i realize my mistake
"you don't think i get jealous seeing you with cristal?! you don't think that hurts me. bet you didn't even notice that because you only care for yourself, i don't even know why i'm waiting for you. i'm single i can be with whoever i want" she says walking away
"cristal isn't who i want, you are " i say pulling her arm
"to bad because i don't think i want you anymore" she pulls my arm off and goes into liam's car
i go inside and tell cristal im leaving, and to tell liam to talk to rose
i let them talk for a little then i go in the car, it was really quiet. cleo was facing the window, looking at the pitch black street. we arrived at the house and cleo was the first to leave the car, liam left after her leaving me alone. i went home and got ready to sleep. until i heard a knock at my door.
"hey ummm you got time i wanted to talk to you" liam stands at my door
"i got time what's up?" i ask him putting my hands in my sweats
"look man she really likes you, i came here with the intentions of winning her heart but turns out you've already won" he says looking down
"doesn't seem like she does" i look at her car
"she might not show it but it's pretty obvious, i think you should go talk to her" he looks at me
"hey thank you maybe we can hang out tomorrow" i thank him
"i actually have a flight to catch, but next time for sure" he says getting in his car
i go upstairs and walk to her room. the room was dark except for her led lights and her bathroom light
"rose" i yell as i knock on the bathroom light
no response
"i know you're in there" i knock again
no response
"rose i'm not leaving until we talk" i knock harder
the door slowly opens, when i see cleo's big watery eyes and messy hair
"princesa" i look at her with a worried face
"don't call me that" she pushes past me
"please" i follow her
"what mattia" she sits on the bed
"i thought your heart was with liam, but now i know that i've had it for a very very long time" i sit next to me
"ok" she looks away
"that's it, okay?" i make her look at me
"mattia great you learned where my heart is, but where's yours, because now i don't know" she gets up
"cleo please" get up as well
"not mattia, i'm tired of being a secret, i'm done. just go home please" she points at the door
