"Mom!" He lifted the paper in his hand and bounced over to where Cheng Huan was. Leaning up against her, he pointed at one of the rooms on the drawing and asked, "Is that where XingXing and mommy is going to live?"
"Yes, that's where we will be staying." Cheng Huan pointed out the other rooms to him as she explained, "This is the living room. This is the kitchen. This will be our study and we will put a lot of books inside of it. XingXing can read in this room."
Looking at the little body beneath her, Cheng Huan added, "You can even do your homework here."
The little kiddo immediately said, "XingXing likes doing homework."
When Cheng Huan was teaching the child recently, she'd sometimes assign some homework to him. She called them "homework assignments", but they were more like games. He'd receive rewards when he completed them and XingXing was highly susceptible to these.
He had been eating well recently and was well nourished. His cheeks had filled out visibly. When the little kiddo talked, his lips were pouty and his cheeks chubby, making them look soft, spongy and very pinchable.
Cheng Huan had no reason to hold herself back. As soon as she thought about it, she reached out and pinched him a couple of times on his cheeks while she devilishly set her son up, "Really? XingXing is so awesome! What happens if you don't like doing homework anymore in the future?"
"That's impossible! XingXing likes doing homework!"
The little kid's voice interrupted Cheng Huan's fantasies. She recollected herself and saw her son, standing with his back straight. He said to her, "If XingXing doesn't like homework in the future, mommy can spank me!"
The original owner had only ignored the child for the most part. With the exception of that one night, she had never lifted a finger on him before.
XingXing had no idea what being spanked was like, but his little buddy downstairs got spanked a lot. He'd bawl loudly every time and for a long time too.
Giving how loudly he bawled so pitifully every time, it must have hurt a lot. So spanking as a punishment, in the little kiddo's mind, was the worst form of punishment in the world.
"Okay, you said it." If her son was the one who said it, why would Cheng Huan object to it? She tore off a page from the notebook that she was drawing in and started writing on it.
The little kiddo thought his mother was going to draw some more. He stuck his head over and saw that it was words that he couldn't read.
He got curious and asked, "Mom, what is this?"
"This is an agreement. I am writing it down in case you forget about it in the future." After Cheng Huan finished writing it, she signed her name on the lower right-hand corner. Then, handing the pen over to the little kiddo, she held his hand and helped him write down his name.
The little kiddo's hand was soft and it was difficult for Cheng Huan to control it indirectly. The words written down were very crooked.
This was XingXing's very first time experiencing this. He couldn't be more curious. "Mom, am I drawing also?"
"No, this is not drawing. This is a signature. These few characters are XingXing's name. We wrote it down representing that you have agreed to the term."
Having said that, Cheng Huan read the agreement out loud to him. Mainly, it stated that XingXing guaranteed that he'd always enjoy doing homework and would complete them in time; otherwise, he would willing accept punishment.
XingXing was only 4 years old and didn't understand a lot of the sentences.
His name was what he cared about the most. He stuck his neck out and looked. Then, he even praised himself narcissistically.
"Mom, even my name looks so pretty!"
