A week passed since Hoseok started attending his new school. As days went on, he grew more and more comfortable with his new friend group, thanks to the help of Taehyung.

It was never too awkward between him or the rest of the group anymore, since Hoseok overall had a very outgoing personality and it just took a little bit of time to fully express himself.

Cool air ruffled Hoseok's hair on their walk to school that morning, causing him to rub his arms in response. Even though it was early September, their morning walks to school were usually pretty chilly yet refreshing.

"Hm kinda ironic how the sun can get cold." Taehyung deadpanned, noticing that Hoseok was shivering.

Hoseok giggled at this and playfully shoved his friend causing Taehyung to laugh as well.

Among the friend group, Hoseok was the closest to Taehyung. Not only had he met him before anyone else, but their personalities were somewhat similar in a way with their weird sense of humor and bubbly attitudes perfectly complimenting each other.

Along with that, their passion for the art world brought them closer together as well. Taehyung loved painting and photography, as he was quite talented at it as well.

Hoseok's love for dance was a big part of his life, since he spent hours upon hours in the dance studio; which also brought him closer to Jimin since they both shared a special love for the world of dance.

Aside from Taehyung and Jimin, however, Hoseok considered himself moderately close with everyone else in the friend group (well, almost everyone, that is). Seokjin carried everyone on his back with his protective side always showing, always keeping everyone out of trouble, especially the younger ones. Along with acting as "parent" of the friend group, he also had a rather dad-like sense of humor. Although a lot of the time the jokes weren't particularly groundbreaking, everyone laughed anyway because of the way Seokjin delivered it.

Namjoon was the practical one of the group, and served as another guardian somewhat similar to Seokjin. He was very one-with-nature, with his love for animals and anything that had to do with plants. The others often associated with him being a "plant mama", as he had countless plants in his room and was also very good at taking care of them. Along with that, his high grades and not to mention his extremely high IQ made him the smartest one among their group, even though he was probably the clumsiest or most clueless.

The youngest of them all, Jungkook was constantly watched over by everyone since they constantly babied him. Even though he acted soft, Jungkook was actually quite athletically capable and incredibly strong as well. All his weekly visits to the gym paid off and gave him this muscular appearance. He was also very skillful in video editing, which he and Taehyung bonded over constantly as they were both experts with cameras.

Lastly, Yoongi. Hoseok didn't know Yoongi too well, but from what he's heard from his other friends he was a huge softy with a deceiving outside persona. Hoseok learned that Yoongi was actually a very talented basketball player, which grabbed Hoseok's attention right away since he always wished he was more athletic. Hoseok constantly hoped that Yoongi would warm up to him at some point, since he genuinely seemed like an amazing person even if he appeared reserved or more quiet at first glance.
                                                                                         ••••

Nothing very interesting happened in their morning classes, but Hoseok did receive a buttload of homework which he was not looking forward to doing.

Making his way over to the lunch table where everyone was sitting, Hoseok grabbed a seat next to Seokjin and Jungkook and began gobbling down his sandwich.

"Dang someone's hungry today," Jungkook said in a mocking tone.

"Says the person who drinks like ten bottles of banana milk every day," Hoseok retorted while sending him a slide glance.

"Hey shut up it helps me grow!"

"Aww, does baby Jungkookie want to grow up to be a big strong boy?" Seokjin teased while pouting his lips and widening his eyes.

Hoseok burst into laughter, sending everyone else into fits of giggles and attempting not to choke on their food while doing so.

Jungkook just sat there unamused by their teasing and drank another bottle of banana milk in protest, and to make it look like he didn't give two sh*ts.

Even Yoongi, who usually stayed out of conversation, chuckled at Hoseok and Seokjin's teasing. Hoseok noticed this and felt personally accomplished since it was one of the first times he's seen or made Yoongi laugh.

With a wide smile on his face, he continued in eating his lunch while his friends carried on cracking jokes or making fun of Jungkook.
                                                                              ••••

On Hoseok's way to sixth period, he made a mental note to himself to try and strike a conversation with Yoongi.

He felt like he was putting a restriction on Yoongi, since maybe the only reason he didn't talk much at lunch was because of Hoseok.
Knowing that he was a new addition to their friend group, his biggest worry was ruining their past bond before he had come into the picture.

His shoes padded against the ground as Hoseok leaped up a few stairs at a time in order to get to class before the bell rang to make some time for conversation.

As he entered the classroom and poked his head through the door entrance, he noticed that Yoongi was already at their desks and currently getting out a writing utensil.

Hoseok confidently made his way over, a big smile plastered on his face.

Yoongi looked up with a confused expression, since Hoseok looked happier than usual. Focusing back to himself Yoongi made an eye roll assuming Hoseok was hooked on some sort of drugs or something.

"Hey Yoongi! Jimin mentioned to me that you play basketball. That's really cool and impressive, I've always wanted to play since I was little, I'm horrible at it though." Hoseok simply gushed in order to make Yoongi say something.

"It's not that big of a deal, but thanks I guess" he responded with a lack of enthusiasm.

Ugh, why did Jimin have to fricken tell him that? Its not his business, what if he tries going to one of my games? Yoongi thought to himself as he made a plan later to scold his friend about spilling his private life.

"When did you get into it?" Hoseok curiously asked.

Seriously why is this kid all of a sudden interested in my personal life, especially basketball?

"Hoseok, are you on drugs or something? You're oddly fascinated with my boring life. You barely know me." Yoongi said as he leaned back in his chair with a blank expression painted across his face.

Hoseok was slightly surprised by this, after all he was just trying to be nice. But maybe he was being a little nosy or extra.

"No, I'm not on drugs," Hoseok stated back with a slight laugh, "but I just personally find it really cool that you play. It's one of my favorite sports to watch on TV."

Yoongi was a little shocked himself. He had assumed Hoseok was just complimenting him without much meaning as an icebreaker, not because he was genuinely interested.

Yoongi just nodded in return as their teacher walked in the room.

Throughout class, Hoseok stole glances at Yoongi just out of pure curiosity.

He was so mysterious, and kept to himself. He wondered what other compelling things Yoongi did without Hoseok knowing, and it left him daydreaming in his own fantasies about the secret life of Min Yoongi.

Yoongi wasn't stupid, so he obviously noticed Hoseok shooting occasional glances at him. Pretending not to see however, he just placed his hand under his head and kept his focus on the teacher's lesson during all of class.

                            ••••

As Yoongi was packing up at the end of the period, he heard Hoseok cheerfully say, "Bye Yoongi!" on his way out the door.

Yoongi responded with an unenthusiastic "Bye" as he headed down the stairs to his next class.

On his way there, he was honestly very curious as to why Hoseok started to talk to him so much today and was acting so friendly. Was his life really that interesting? Or did he think Yoongi was some anti-social loner and sympathized him?

Yoongi was aware he acted a bit distant from Hoseok, so he completely expected him to do the same, but apparently his assumptions were wrong.

However, Yoongi didn't have time for Hoseok's silly antics, he was already busy with home life, his job, and basketball.
                                                                          ••••

Over and over again, Hoseok replayed the conversation in his mind, barely paying any attention to their dance instructor. Slowly, Hoseok started to get worried that maybe Yoongi just didn't like him, which was one of his worst fears as he absolutely despised conflict and acted as a people pleaser.

All he wanted was a friendly relationship with Yoongi, even if they didn't end up too close.

Towards the end of class, Hoseok walked over to Jimin and tapped him on the shoulder.

"Oh hey Hoseok, you seemed to be spacing out today, is everything alright?" Jimin asked with a kind and comforting smile.

"Do you think Yoongi hates me? I'm worried I'm being too nosy or annoying."

"Definitely not, I can't picture anyone not liking you. But if you want, I can talk to him. But seriously, you shouldn't worry, Yoongi's like this with everyone at first. I promise it will get better.", he responded, giving Hoseok a heartwarming smile and patting him on the back.

Hoseok sighed and ran his hands through his brown hair with a smile on his face.

Hopefully Jimin was right.
