It's been days since that incident at Cesar's.
The past few days consisted of us doing our own things.
We haven't talked to eachother at all.
Jamal was still lying about going to football and spent most of his time running rolling around on the grass.
Ruby was busy trying not to fall in love with Olivia.
There were rumours going around about Monse and Cesar. Seems like they've confessed to eachother about how they really feel.
Good for them.
Dad told me it's 'bring your kid to work day' but I knew he was lying. I played along anyway and now we were at the precinct.
I sat at reception with my legs up on the desk.
Dad gave me a few tasks to do which I did really quickly.
I remember running around this place as a little girl and stealing people's badges.
"Alma" A voice calls disruptinh my thoughts.
I sit up to see Ryan walk in though the doors.
He held a box of doughnuts in his hand.
"Ryan" I smile motioning him to come sit beside me.
He pulls me into a hug before sitting.
"So I heard you and Cesar broke up" Ryan whispers.
I nod.
"You and Monse" I whisper.
"Yeah we broke up too. She's happy with Cesar and that's fine" Ryan whispers looking down at the ground.
It was not fine.
Monse broke his heart.
"I bought doughnuts" Ryan whispers pointing to the box.
"I didn't notice" I laugh causing him to smile.
"Thank you" I whisper pulling him in for one more hug.
"I should leave." Ryan smiled getting up.
"It's fine. You can stay if you like" I reply.
He shakes his head.
I pull him into a hug before watching him leave the building.
As I begin to reach a doughnut. Dad snatches the box.
"Ooh doughnuts" Dad squeals as he hands them out to his colleagues.
"Your favourite" He smile handing me the chocolate frosted doughnut.
"Thanks" I smile before stuffing the whole thing in my mouth.
Dad watches and let's out a laugh before noticing his colleague stood beside him.
"Alma" Dad whispers.
"Yeaaaah" I whisper confused.
"Gabriella needs her job back" He smiles motioning me to get off the seat.
"Oh right" I smile giving her the seat back.
"You wanna sit in my office" Dad asks.
"Naa it's okay. I've got homework to do" I smile.
He grabs his car keys off his desk.
"It's fine dad. I'll walk it" I smile pushing him to his seat.
"You sure?" He asks and I nod.
"Thank you for everything" I whisper pulling him into a hug.
He watches as I leave the precinct.
As I walk out the car park, a car beep causes me to stop walking.
I look around the car park and see Cesar jump out Oscar's car.
"Alma wait up" Cesar shouts running up to me.
"Hi" He whispers.
"Hi" I whisper not wanting to talk.
"I've missed you" He whispers.
I missed him too but I was still angry at him.
"Look Alma I'm sorry. I was a dick and I deserve this." Cesar whispers.
"You do deserve this" I whisper looking away.
"I know and I'm really sorry. The gang has fallen apart with out you" He whispers.
"The gang?" I question looking at him confused.
"You, me, Ruby, Jamal and Monse" He whispers.
"The idiots" I laugh and he nods in agreements.
We stood there in silence as the wind blew in our faces.
"I've missed you too" I whisper playfully punching him in the arm.
"You did?" Cesar smiles and I nod.
"Come here" I giggle pulling him into a hug.
The hug lasted a few seconds. It felt good to be friends again.
"What's he doing here?" Cesar asks as we pull apart.
He points to the green car that entered the car park.
It was Latrelle.
"Who?" I question.
"It's a prophet" Cesar mutters.
I remain silent not knowing what to say.
"I got to go before Oscar and he argue" Cesar sighs running up to Oscar car.
I wave goodbye as they drive away.
Seconds later Latrelle's car pulls up in front of me.
The window rolls down.
"Hey baby" Latrelle smiles.
"Hi" I whisper quickly getting into tbe car.
I look around to make sure no one was watching.
"What you doing here?" I ask constantly looking around.
"Relax Alma" Latrelle whispers pulling me into a kiss.
"We could get caught" I sigh.
"But we won't. I'm tired of sneaking around" Latrelle sighs leaking back in his seat.
"I'm tired too but no one can know about us" I sigh.
