He smiles back before they start to walk to the entrance of the hall. Chaeyoung follows him with their hands clasped together as she knows he needs her to give him some courage to face his old friends especially the bride. After the short meet with Jaehyun, she knows that some of his old friends knew how he was dumped by Eunbi. She does not want him to be ridiculed by them so she promised herself to do whatever he ask her to do there.
She does not complain when he introduces her as his girlfriend to them. He looks to be fine when they talked about the past but one thing she realized, he will hold her closer when they start to talk about Eunbi and him. About their past relationship.
From there, Chaeyoung knows that the two knew each other after Eunbi transferred to their school. An elite high school in Seoul. They got together when they were 16 and was quite a famous couple in school. Their breakup when they were just a freshman in university shocked everyone.
She also found out that Jungkook went to USA to study there after the breakup. Most of them are shocked that he is there at the wedding but they are glad to know the two finally made up and be friends. But, Chaeyoung knows that is not right. They are not friends anymore, Jungkook never says that to her.
After the dance by the newly married couple, the host announces that it is time for the guests to have a dance with their partners. Many couples are delighted to hear it as the song starts to change. Jungkook and Chaeyoung who are seated with some of Jungkook's good old friends are left alone as the others stand up and go to the dance floor to dance with their partners.
"Chaeyoung, shall we dance?", Jungkook asks as he looks at her but she does not hear it.
"Chae...", he stops as he sees where she might be looking at. Then, he sees the couple that is celebrated coming their way.
He stands up and blocks Chaeyoung's view before pulling her hand to get up from her chair. "Jungkook, what are you doing?", Chaeyoung asks in surprise. "Let's dance, okay?", he says before he drags her to the dance floor, not even waiting for her reply.
Jungkook puts his right hand on Chaeyoung's waist while his left hand hold her right hand. But, Chaeyoung stays frozen not trying to sway slowly to the music.
"Chaeyoung, put your hand on my shoulder.", he says as he slowly move to the right and left following the slow beat.
Chaeyoung slowly put her left hand on his shoulder before following his steps.
"Why are we suddenly dancing?", Chaeyoung asks.
"Because everyone is dancing.", Jungkook simply answers.
They sway to the music until they exchange position. Jungkook was facing their table and now Chaeyoung is. She can see who is going near their table and smiles at Jungkook.
"Or because you want to avoid Eunbi?", she asks him with a small stare.
"What? No.", he replies while looking away from Chaeyoung's eyes.
"Are you sure? Because I think we haven't met them yet since we got here.", she tells him.
"We can meet them later.", Jungkook replies as they sway from side to side a little faster than before since the music beat goes faster now.
Chaeyoung shakes her head at him as she moves forward getting closer to him. He is a bit startled especially when Chaeyoung moves her head to rest on his shoulder. That is what he thought before Chaeyoung whispers to him.
"She's coming."
Jungkook widened his eyes as he adjusts his right hand on Chaeyoung's waist.
"No.", he whispers back.
"Yes, she is.", Chaeyoung tells him with a nod.
"Okay.", he replies before he quickly pushes Chaeyoung to step away from him making her frowning before he holds both of her hands firmly stopping her from being pushed too far.
Then, he pulls her back to him by spinning her around making her back in full contact with his chest.
"Perfect!", he whispers behind her as they stay in that position a few seconds before they are interrupted by someone.
"Jungkook?", that voice makes both of them turn to their left and Jungkook loosens his hold on Chaeyoung's hands letting her free from their closeness earlier.
"Oh, hey...Eunbi.", Jungkook responded.
Chaeyoung clings her arm with Jungkook's arm letting Eunbi sees that he is together with her there.
"Chaeyoung?", a man who just gets there and stands beside Eunbi calls for Chaeyoung. It is Eunwoo, who hugs Eunbi after that.
"Oh, Dongmin...I mean Cha...Eunwoo-ssi. Hi.", Chaeyoung replies with a stutter.
"Dongmin?", Eunbi repeats as she looks at Eunwoo suspiciously.
Then, he nods before saying that Lee Dongmin was his name before he changed it to Cha Eunwoo after his mother remarried.
"Didn't I tell you already, babe?", he questions her.
Eunbi slowly nods before laughing at herself saying that she forgot it. But then, she looks back at Chaeyoung and asks how she knows Eunwoo as Dongmin. Jungkook is about to introduce her to the couple but Eunwoo intervenes, "We studied at the same elementary school. So, she knew me as Lee Dongmin. But now, Chaeyoung. It's Cha Eunwoo. Nice to meet you again after so many years."
Chaeyoung shakes hands with him before Jungkook interrupts back. "Congratulations, Eunwoo, Eunbi.", he says with a smile. "By the way, Eunbi. This is my girlfriend, Park Chaeyoung. Chaeyoung, she's Eunbi. My...old friend.", he introduces the ladies to each other before Eunwoo excuses himself as his friend is calling for him.
"So...Jungkook, you...made it here.", Eunbi starts to talk after Eunwoo leaves. "Thank you for coming. I thought...you wouldn't come.", she adds.
"Jungkook, I want to go to the toilet for a while.", Chaeyoung says as she knows Eunbi wants to talk with him alone.
"Now?", Jungkook asks as he seems to not wanting to let her go. "Just a minute. I promise.", Chaeyoung replies to him as she slowly pull away from him. "Okay.", he says with a smile as he watches her going out of the hall.
He completely ignores Eunbi who is in front of him making her to block his view to get his attention.
"She's lovely. You must be really in love with her, right?", Eunbi asks him.
A bright smile is shown to her as a response. "I love her...more than I love myself. She's an angel sent from heaven for me.", he admits how much he loves Chaeyoung to Eunbi.
"Wow! She has that big effect to you. Even when I saw you two dance earlier, you two look like a perfect match. Unlike me...when we were together.", Eunbi says making Jungkook does not know what to say next.
"All I remember was we never had a dance like that. We danced to loud music, funky ones. I think we jumped a lot rather than dancing, didn't we?", she recalls their past before laughing it off with Jungkook.
Then, he nods to her. "Maybe that's how it should be. I am meant to meet a girl like Chaeyoung and you are meant for Eunwoo.", he says.
"Yeah, maybe you're right. So...you don't hold a grudge on me...or anything now, right?", Eunbi asks.
Jungkook smiles warmly before nodding. "I moved on. You were my past and Chaeyoung is my future. I hope you will pray for us to be just like you and Eunwoo today.", he tells her kindly and she nods at him.
"You two are perfect. I'll pray for you. Don't forget to invite me when you'll marry her, okay?", she says as she hit his shoulder lightly. "I will. Don't worry.", he replies as he thinks of when will he get the chance to confess to Chaeyoung.
If he follows his heart, he wants to do it now. But his brain says otherwise, he needs to wait for the right time and definitely not right now. Not at his ex's wedding. He does not want her to think that he is using her as a rebound or anything.

Chaeyoung is checking herself in the mirror when she hears two voices somewhere outside the toilet talking about Jungkook. She ignores it at first but then, she hears something like he hires someone to be his fake girlfriend that night. She knows that they are talking about her despite knowing who she really is.
Then, another voice comes in between and tells them that Jungkook just brings his staff with him. The two people gasped at the information before one of them say that the staff he brought must be trying to get something from him since he is rich. The others agree on it before Chaeyoung storms out of the toilet glaring at them.
She does not say any word to them but she knows they know who she is. She ignores them and quickly gets back inside the hall to find Jungkook. She looks at the dance floor and the table but he is nowhere to be found.
She tries to find the bride as she thought maybe he is still talking to her but someone suddenly pulls her arm making her turn around immediately. She is shocked with it but she could not say anything once she sees who is in front of her.
"Jungkook, you...startled me.", she says.
Jungkook carefully steps back a bit and says sorry.
"Jungkook, can we go home?", she asks as her eyes look elsewhere from him.
"What? Why? We haven't eaten yet.", he asks her.
Chaeyoung shakes her head and firmly says that she wants to go home that exact moment. "If you don't want to take me back, I'll go by myself.", she says as a threat.
"Whoa, Chaeyoung. Okay, I'll take you home now.", he tells her.

The ride back is quiet and Jungkook does not like it. When they reach the traffic light after leaving the hall, he asks her if she is okay but she remains silent.
"Did something happen when you went to the toilet?", he asks, he can sense something is wrong with her because something happened there.
He sighs when she keeps being silent with him. Then, he hears something like a stomach growling but he is sure it is not from him. He glanced briefly at Chaeyoung who maintains a serious expression beside him.
"I'm hungry. We go for dinner first. Then, I send you home. Okay, Chaeyoung?", he suggests as if he did not hear her stomach made a noise earlier. He does not want to embarrass her at this kind of time. She is not in the mood, he can tell.
She does not reply to him and he attempts to ask her again if she is okay to have dinner first. But, his timing is wrong when he hears a growling sound again from her and he clearly sees her lips mouthing 'shit'. He holds his laugh as he focuses on the road again.
"I'm hungry too.", Chaeyoung shyly says to him as she touches her stomach.
"Great. I know good food nearby. You will not be disappointed.", he replies as he taps on his phone to search for a name in the contact list.
