Nobody POV:
Cait came out but she was looking like frost.
"You okay?" She asked.
"I just. I don't know how to tell them." Barry said.
" try with me by your side. Let's tell them together." Iris said coming outside "I told you from the beginning. No matter what happens between us I'm always going to be by your side. I'm always going to be the person you can lean on. So lean on me." She said and he nodded and went inside.
Barry POV:
We walked inside.
"Guys can we sit for a moment? Barry has something to talk to us about." Oliver said and the teams came to sit even the kids.
"Everything okay?" Mia asked sitting down
"Yeah, sweetie. Your uncle just has to get something off his chest." He said.
"So when I went to see crisis for myself I went through thousands of possibilities. Thousands of scenarios. The only way to save all of you.... is if I die." I said. I looked at Crystal.
Her eyes were just looking at the ceiling trying to prevent the tears from falling.
"Hey, it's okay to cry. To be upset, angry, frustrated. Whatever you're feelings it's okay." Oliver said to the kids
"It's okay because we're not giving up. We're going to do everything we can." Kara said
"So what's next? I mean how do we save uncle Barry? Can we even save him?" Mia asked with tears in her eyes
"That's what our focus is on. Trying to find a way to help him." Iris said
"But we are going to continue to live our lives since we do not know when the crisis is coming." Kara said
"We're not going down without a fight." Oliver added.
"I'm going to be fine. Either way. I promise." I said
"H.R. Wells once told me, Barry Allen's superpower isn't speed, it's hope and that kid has an endless reservoir of it." Cecile said who amongst all of this mess has been planning a wedding for her and joe. I just smiled.
"When you first came into my life, I had lost faith in just about everything." Cait said
"You saved my life barry. I'll always love you." She finished. I had tears in my eyes and wiped them away smiling.
"You helped me through the years. Made me believe I could be better than I was, than I am. You never turned your back on me even though people told you too. You made me a better person, Barry, one worth of marrying your best friend so thank you." Oliver said and I smiled at him.
"You've been there for me since I was little. Since my powers started. Since I showed the world who supergirl was. I couldn't have done it without you. I still can't. We're going to fight for you barry, as hard as you fight for us." Kara said with tears in her eyes.
I couldn't say anything and they knew that. They just slowly started going to other rooms. Harry stayed behind.
"So what do you think? You think that's it's true? Destiny is written and this is it for me?" I asked him.
"Black and white, that just for death and taxes. Everything else, everything else happens in the greys. I think you need to live life to the fullest. We never know what's around the corner." He said and put a hand on my shoulder and left the room.
Oliver POV:
"It's Damien Darhk." Felicity said
"Who?" Mia asked
"Some guy who's been after dad for a while. You need me?" Kara asked
"Ummm, no. Stay with Barry. I'll go." I said
"Not without your team." Laurel said
"We're going mobile." Felicity said
Nobody POV:
The team went out in the field and Barry went to watch what they were doing in there bunker.
"Okay. What's on your mind?" Iris asked walking in.
" I'm scared. Scared of the future. Scared of what's going to happen to the girls and cait. Just scared of how many people we will lose."
"Hopefully we don't lose anybody Barry. But if we do it is something we will deal with when we cross that road."
"I just don't want it be my fault."
"It won't. We all know what we're up against. Come on let's take a walk." She said and he agreed.
Oliver POV:
We were all searching a building when I came across him.
"Oliver Queen, the Green Arrow. Don't you get it? You can't win."
"What do you want Darhk."
"I want you dead so no one stands in my way."
"Not going to happen."
"You sure? Maybe not you but maybe someone you love."
" you wouldn't." I said
Barry POV:
Iris and I were walking and talking.
"I've missed this." She said
"What?" I asked
"Us." She said
"Yeah." I smiled "me too." Then a building exploded.
"Isn't that the building Oliver and his team are in?" I asked her
"Go. I'll head back inside and gather the team." She said and I nodded and ran in.
I searched and searched.
"BARRY!" Someone yelled and I turned to see Oliver coming around the corner
"Hey! You okay?" I asked as the rest of the team came into the same hallway "where's Felicity?" I asked. A look of panic came over their eyes and I ran the whole building until I found her unconscious.
"Felicity..." I said picking her up "come on let's get you out of here." I said and sped her to the hospital.
Oliver POV:
I paced the halls.
"Don't go there." Laurel said
"Where?" I asked
"Your go to place. Where you sit there and say that it's all your fault." She said
"Because it is, Laurel. She wouldn't have been in there if I wasn't."
"That's what a team is, Oliver."
"Hey! I heard about Felicity you okay?" Kara asked walking in. I hugged her tight.
" yeah I'm okay but..." I said pointing to the room with tears in my eyes.
"Oliver, are you okay?" She asked concerned
" I will be. Once she's fine." He said and Barry came out of the room.
"Couple broken ribs. Couple bruises and scrapes but she'll be okay. You can go see her." He said and I walked in to see her sleeping. Laure followed me in.
"When we go out every night, fighting assassins and meta humans and all the worst kinds of people..."
"She's stronger than all of us." I said
"She's going to be fine, Oliver. She has to be." She said
"I know." I nodded.
A few hours later Felicity was discharged.
Nobody POV:
Barry walked into kara's house.
"Why aren't you at the hospital?" He asked her and she just looked at him "what's going on?" He asked
"Why are you so willing to die?" She asked him and he looked at her confused.
"What are you talking about?"
"I've never seen you give up so fast. Oliver sees Felicity get hurt and he walks around blaming himself. You, you see the world crumble and you think it's okay to sacrifice yourself."
"You think I want this? This is the last thing I want. You think I don't want to see my kids grow up? It's the only answer." Barry said
"No it's not. If you want all that then you have to fight for it. Barry, promise me you'll fight." She said.
"I promise." He said looking at her. Then his phone went off.
"It's Oliver. He wants me to meet him for drinks." He said
"Go." Kara said
"Hey." Barry said and Kara looked at him "I'm not giving up. I promise." He said and she just nodded and he left.
"To living life to the fullest knowing tomorrow may never be promised." Oliver cheered and Barry raised a glass "what's up with you?" He asked
"Your wife." Barry said
"What she do?"
"Trying to make me have hope that I'll actually live through this crisis whenever it happens."
"She loves you barry. It's like me and Felicity, we don't know what we'd do without the other."
"Yeah well she might have to figure it out soon." He said and just kept drinking.
