"What do you want?" Ashton asked with a scowled on his face when he opened the door.
"I need your help." I said.
"And what makes you think I'm going to help you." He snapped and made his way to shut the door.
"It's about Tracy." I said. I know- he have a soft spot for Tracy and I feel horrible using it on him, but I'm desperate and helpless at the moment.
"Hurry up." He said.
"Can I come in?" I asked. He looked at me with a thoughtful look.
"Okay." He said as he let me in. I looked around the apartment room. I don't even know why he's living here when his home is few block away from here.
"Tracy is back in San Jose."
"I heard about that." He said.
"She's looking for her parents."
He frowned. I doubt he knows any personal things about Tracy and that made me feel somewhat better.
"Go on.." he said.
"I can't seem to track down her parent's, every time my security is this close to track them down-they are thrown off the system."
"And you want me to track them down." He said with a smirk.
"Yes." I said swallowing my pride.
"After what you have done to me?"
"I apologized for what happened in the past."
"Taylor never ever liked me." He said. I don't know why we are having a talk about Taylor at this moment. "She was always trying to get your attention."
I frowned at his words. Taylor seemed happy with him.
"She used me to make you jealous and when she realized that you were not falling for her trap and was not giving her your attention. That's why she said I raised my hand on her." He scowled. "I have a sister and I would never imagine raising hands on a woman, even though they are mean. I would never want anyone raising their hand on my sister." He glared at me.
I was surprised by his confession.
"It was always about you." He spat in annoyance. "I did fell for Taylor, I won't deny it,but she used me like a dirt. I was very upset. It's not your fault that she likes you.. but I'm mad at you still and Tracy, I'm going to admit to you. I like her and when you fall I will be the one taking your place; you might better watch out for that. I'm going to help you, but it's all for Tracy."
"Thank you." I pleaded. "And I'm sorry for all the misunderstanding."
"You better." He said. "Now tell me what you have been doing with the tracking."
I knew this guy was a freak (not trying to be mean) he have a room full of expensive computers and wires all around. He casually walked into the room and said, "Welcome to my humble hobby room." He snorted as he got down the work.
I'm not even sure what he does with all of this stuff and wonder if he does anything illegal here. This is the worse place to do anything illegal considering he's in school's residential building and the place is always monitored.
"Make yourself feel home." He casually. "Just for today." He added.
I got a text from Taylor. At first I was going to ignore her text- she sent me an attachment file and I was curious so I opened it and I paled at the invitation in front of me.
It was an engagement party invites for Liam & Tracy.
"What the f^ck." I cussed as I walked out of the room to call Kyle. This better not be true.
"Did Elliot say anything to you about this?" I asked Kyle.
"No." He said. "I don't think you should trust Taylor in this.. she can be making up stories."
"How can she? She doesn't even know Liam?" I said. "Let me show you what she sent. It looks like a legit online invitation card. F^ck." I cussed.
"I think you need to cool down a little and listen to what Tracy have to say to you."
"I need a little time to think."
"Where are you?" He asked. "I'll come over."
"I need a little space." I said to him. "Let me think through of all the plans we made."
"I'm here if you want to talk. Please listen to what Tracy have to say.."
"I will." I said. She might have been forced to accept the engagement, but I really hope she will change her mind.
"You should see what I found." Ashton called me up. "Hurry." He said as I hurried to the room he was in.
My mouth dropped open. He somehow opened a file about details of her parents who seemed to have change their name, legally.
"Someone was blocking the system, but I somehow managed to access the account." He boast.
"Is this legal?" I asked.
"Who cares?" He shrugged. "And I found something suspicious as well." He opened a site and there was record of the legal document that states that Tracy's restriction from her parents was rejected and this document was dated years back.
"How did you do that?" I asked.
"I somehow got access to the email to some lawyer's account. They have very horrible security." He scrunched his nose. "Where shall we start the game." He rubbed his hand, excitedly. "I can't wait to catch the fish."
This guy definitely have a funny way of looking at life.
"We'll start by finding her parents." I said.
"I'm in." Ashton smirked. "This has to be the most exciting thing."
"And illegal." I said.
"You can say that." He shrugged.
