"Lalisa, don't surprise me alright?" She said knowing that it is our anniversary today. I chuckle as I put an apron on while my phone's on a loud speaker so i can hear Jennie
"I won't " I said smiling while looking for the pan
"Hmm okay.. I'll see you later. I love you"
"I love you too, take care and be home early so we can have dinner together " Jennie hummed before we end the call. I positioned my phone and call Jisoo
"Are you ready to burn the hotel down?" Jisoo said making Rosie chuckle as I pull out everything that I need to use
"I can't believe you'll cook kimchi fried rice when that is your girlfriend's specialty " Rosie said
"But she'll eat what I cook anyway" I said smiling at them
"Go wash your hands first then mince the garlic and green onions" Rosie said and since I already washed my hands I grab a knife and cutting board. I put the phone infront of me so they can see.
"Lisayah you're like a grandma" Jisoo said later on as I was cutting too slow so I cut faster but the sizes are different
"Like this?" I ask and show it off
"What the hell is that?" Jisoo said "do you want Jennie to eat a whole clove of garlic?"
"But I cut it off already" I said
"Cut it into tiny pieces " Rosie said so I did but since I'm clumsy as fuck i cut my finger but not too deep "It's your fault not ours. If your girlfriend asked tell her the truth " she said which Jisoo agreed immediately
After a couple of minutes I already cut everything so I open up the stove and put some oil while asking them if the oil I pour is enough already. I grab a bowl and walk towards the rice cooker to get some rice
"Ya Lalisa don't leave your pan unattended!" Jisoo yelled out
"Wait I'm scooping some rice" I said
"You should've left the fire at the lowest" Rosie said so i look back at the pan and the oil is already boiling
"Fucking hell!" I put down the bowl of rice and walk back towards the pan to turn down the fire.
"Just put the garlic on" I grab the garlic and put it all in as I step back afraid that it might pop out "stir it and wait till it's golden brown " I grab a spatula and stir it a bit "put the green onions after" when the garlic turns brown I put the green onions as well and stir it
"Oh I forgot my rice" I said leaving the pan and scooping some rice again. Once I'm done I close the rice cooker and walk back towards the pan
"Is your green onions cooked?"
"I think so"
"Put your kimchi and some of its soup" Jisoo said
"Wait did you even cut your kimchi?" Rosie asked making my eyes go wide as I put the bowl of rice down and run towards the fridge
"Ya Lalisa you'll burn it!" Jisoo yelled out
"I'll be quick!" I yelled out as well and started cutting the kimchi into different sizes again since I'm in a rush. Once I'm done I run towards the stove and saw that it doesn't look too good so I pour down everything and my hand accidently hit the side of the pan which makes me pull back immediately
"Oh god, Jennie will for sure scold us" Rosie said
"I put the kimchi already " I said smiling at them
"If your kimchi's good, put your rice and mix it and add some seasonings. Taste it time to time so you'll know if it's salty or bland" I nodded and made sure to mix it well
"Then prepare another pan to cook some egg to put at the top of your kimchi bokkeumbap" Rosie said "you know how to cook an egg right?" She ask
"Ofcourse"
After a while I show them off the finish product of what I cooked for a long long time
"Your egg looks rotten" Jisoo teased
"Ya Kim Jisoo you just eat food as well" I said making her chuckle "I'll just wait for Jennie she'll be here in a while. I'll go take a shower as well " I wave bye to them before ending the call and running to go and immediately take a shower
Jennie's POV
I kept looking at my wrist watch time to time since I'm taking too long on this meeting. They keep talking nonsense and i seriously want to just make all of them shut up and just go straight to what we went here for.
Mr Kang walk towards me and lean down to whisper that Lisa's not picking up her phone so I just nodded and thanked him. I told Mr Kang to call Lisa and tell her I'll be home a bit late and she can eat dinner already... i feel so bad about it knowing that we should be having our dinner now cause it's our anniversary.
"Ms. Kim you see-"
"Please cut to the chase. I have an important thing to do after this and y'all keep beating around the bush. If you'll put some of your shares then do so and quit saying nonsense things" I said rolling my eyes. I know that isn't a good thing to say especially when it comes to possible investors but it's not like they're the most important thing right now
"Sorry Ms. Kim" one of them says as they made sure to finish everything as fast as we can so I can go already.
Once the meeting is done I walk straight to the car and Mr Kang drove as fast as he can while also keeping it safe for the both of us. I pulled out my phone to try calling Lisa again but she's still not picking up
When we reached the hotel I literally just run towards the elevator not even waiting for Mr Kang. I jog towards our suite and saw the lights are on so Lisa is here. I walk towards the kitchen and saw that it's kinda messy with ingredients laying around so I checked the table and saw two bowls of kimchi fried rice and by the looks of the overfried egg I know who cooked this. I walk towards the couch on the far corner and saw Lisa sleeping. She has her phone on vibrate mode since she doesnt like putting a sound to it. I kneeled down to be on her level as I brush the strands of her hair out of her face. I seriously feel bad right now.. she seems to be waiting for a while that she ended up falling asleep
I stayed there for a couple of minutes till I noticed Lisa's hand full of bandages which confirmed that she did cook for us. But what caught my attention is the small box she's holding. I tried to pull it out of her hand but she immediately flinch and pull it away from me
"Fucking hell you startle me!" She said holding her chest
"What's that?" I ask
"Nothing.. what time is it?" She ask
"It's late... I'm sorry" I said and sit next to her
"I understand.. it's work anyway"
"But it's our anniversary "
"We have plenty more" she said smiling at me
"But our 3rd year anniversary only happen once"
"It's really just fine Jennie Kim. Here, my gift" she said giving the box to me
"I didn't even bought one for you cause I feel like you'll feel obligated to give me one as well and I dont want you to spend that much for me"
"Let's just call it even since you bought a jacket for me earlier " she said making me sigh. I open up the gift and look closer at the snowflake pendant
"Did you bought it at Rodeo Drive earlier?" I said looking at her as she smile and nod "Lisa this is expensive" I said seeing that it is from chanel.
"You said it anyway... our 3rd year anniversary only happen once" I just stare at her while holding her gift
"What do you have in mind?" She ask looking at me
"Well First... I'll eat what you've cooked even though it'll surely make my stomach upset " I said making her chuckle "after that... let's go to Finland"
