"What are you two doing here?" A harsh voice barks at us and Wei's demeanor instantly changes. Watching the happiness that once presided over his face was immediately filled with regret, I was not appreciative of Jiang Cheng's harsh words.
"Jiang Cheng" Wei Ying's voice was calm "we were just praying. We're leaving now" he looked away but that did not placate the Sect Leader.
"Wei Wuxian, you think you can enter and exit whenever you wish to and we all would just stand by and applaud? Don't forget you were thrown out of this Sect a long time ago. You can't just merely walk around" his gaze slides to mine and back to Wei Ying "and bring some unwelcomed guests in here".
"Jiang Cheng, what do you mean unwelcome guest? I just brought Lan Zhan in here to pay homeage to uncle and Madam Yu. Please don't forget you're a sect leader. I did not take Lan Zhan to any other forbidden places of Yunmeng" Wei's retorts.
"Yes Wei Wuxian, Second Master Lan is the unwelcomed guest in here. Did you forget it was because you wanted to save him that Wen Clan targetted our sect and more so you and your freaking hero complex to help the Wen Sect that took away my sister's happiness and her life! Did you forget?" Jiang Cheng yells.
"Ofcourse not!" Wei's demeanor changes too "I haven't forgotten anything".
"That's better and get lost no one wishes to see your face in Yunmeng!" He yells and rage is what takes force into my soul.
"Jiang WanYin, mind your words" each words are enunciated from me and his eyes widen.
"Lan Zhan, please take me away from here" Wei Ying pleads and Jiang Cheng laughs cruelly "Yes, leave. Don't spoil the sanctity of this place with your perverted selves" at that Wei Ying freezes and his head snaps towards the Yunmeng Sect Leader "What?".
"Wei Wuxian, I don't care if you and that man beside you mess around outside of this sacred hall, be it in the boats or even out there under those trees" he laughs sarcastically at Wei Ying's expression "yes, I saw you two hugging under the tree. Disgusting" he spits and pure rage is what brews within me as my hand tightens against the hilt of Bichen "I always wondered why did the great Hanguang-Jun tolerated an imbecile like you? Seems he's as corrupted as you are" he continues.
"That's enough Jiang WanYin, I can tolerate you speaking ill about me but not against Lan Zhan. He's my friend that's all. Speak about him with respect. He's has always been courteous to our family" Wei Ying shouts back and I freeze.

Wei Ying?
"How dare you come to my land and order me around Wei Wuxian? I will speak what I what and how I want" Jiang Cheng's Zidian's slowly starts to electrify.
In fit of anger he strikes at Wei Ying and Bichen intercepts the attack. Realising where we were, Wei tugs my sleeves "Let's go away from here Lan Zhan, please take me away from this place" he pleads and I oblige. But before I could take him away, Jiang Cheng catches hold of Wei Ying's lapels and pushes him with force.
Supporting him and not paying heed to Jiang Cheng, I wrap my arms around Wei Ying's waist and walk away but not before another attack from him which this time was counter attacked by Wen Ning.
"Lan Zhan" Wei stumbles and time stops. Wei's eyes widen and my life comes to a standstill. Red drops of blood trails down from his nose and he falls as I catch him and place his head on my lap. Third time today I am seeing him fainting from extreme fatigue.
"What is a Wen dog like you doing here?" Jiang Cheng yells as Wen Ning stands before us protecting Wei from any further attack.
Bringing forward the Suibian, Wen Ning looks squarely in Jiang Cheng's eyes who was because before this, Wen Ning had always tried to avoid Jiang Cheng but not today "Unsheath this".
Angered to receive a command from Wen Ning, Jiang Cheng yells "How dare you command me?"
Brining the sword in front of him, Wen Ning roars "Just unsheath it" and under indignation Jiang Cheng pulls out Suibian from its sheath and my eyes snap to act in front of me.
What? How is this possible? Suibian sealed itself after Wei Ying's life. The sword was collected by the Lan Lingjin Sect as a souvenir so how is this possible?
"How is this possible?" Jiang Cheng looks bewildered and so am I.
"Because" Wen Ning's voice is resigned "Suibian treats you as it's master".
"What?" Jiang Cheng questions and Wen Ning answers truthfully "It's true. Suibian treats you as it's master because the Golden Core inside you is not yours but is of Master Wei's".

Wei Ying?
The man who is lying unconscious in my lap gave up his Golden Core to someone else? Unable to control my tears I softly caress Wei's face. How wrong I was. I should have trusted you. I didn't. Please forgive me. Please.
"What are you talking about?" Jiang Cheng yells again "my core was melted by the Core Melting Hand. It was mended by..."
Wen Ning interrupted Jiang Cheng coldly "By Baoshan Sanren? You think someone mended your core? No, it was my sister Wen Qing the best medical practitioner of this realm who transferred Master Wei's core into yours. Yunmeng Sect Leader you don't even realise the amount of sacrifice my Master Wei has done for you. If not for his core, you would not be alive. Do you think you could have ever competed with him? Your rank was below his. He begged my sister to transfer his core to yours so that you could live. Be thankful to him!"
"You're lying" Jiang Cheng was under denial, he could not believe a word that Wen Ning spoke "you're lying, tell me your are?"
"No Yunmeng Sect Leader Jiang Cheng, I am not lying. You were blindfolded and I was there with you when you walked up the secluded mountain. You met a women and answered each and every question that she asked. You said you were Cangse Sanren's son Wei Wuxian. That women whom you met, she was none other than my sister"
"Shut up, you're lying!!!" He yells like a petulant child and throws the Suibian away and that's when my wrath takes over my senses. My Wei Ying had sacrificed himself time and again for what? For whom? This man?
I have had enough.
I bang my Bichen against the floor and it thunders around the Lotus Pier causing massive vibrations "Enough Jiang WanYin" my raged eyes gaze through him "Enough" and he visibly trembles.
"The man lying on my lap is the one who sacrificed his life for you and yet there you stand and speak ill of him? Unable to accept the fact that if not for him to transfer his core into your body, today you would have not been a sect leader. Had Wei Ying been as selfish as you are, he would not have been condemned by the realm and been branded as the Yiling Patriarch!".
Picking Wei Ying in my arms, I look at Jiang Cheng "I warned you before not to cross paths with me. I respect Wei Ying and you're ancestors before whom we stand, so take this from me, I will not fight you tonight but, if you ever speak ill of Wei Ying or disrespect him then I, Lan Wangji, Hanguang-Jun of Gusu will reign down my wrath against you and you won't survive. Never come near him. Never lay your finger on him." With that I turn to leave but not without bowing down towards the ancestral hall.
Picking up the Suibian "Yunmeng Sect Leader, please take Suibian and ask anyone to unsheath it, trust me no one would be able to, only you can" with a light bow Wen Ning follows me out and we see everyone from the main hall had gathered to witness the fiasco.
"Where are you talking Master Wei, Hanguang-Jun?" Wen Ning enquires softly.
"It was his request to be taken far away from here" I reply and he nods following us without further questions.
