Rummy- Aapko bhaiya ne humare bare me bataya tha...
Vishakha was about to say when the doorbell rang again. Gunny opened the door, a food delivery boy was standing there with food packets in his hands. Gunny took them, paid the bills & came back.
Gunny- (smiling) Baatein baad me kariyega, pehle kuch kha lete hai.... Maine khaana order kar diya tha. Dinner time ho gaya hai aur bahut bhookh bhi lagi hai...
Vishakha- (realising the time) Oh! Baato-baato me toh bilkul dyaan hi nahi raha. Aap sab baithiye, mai abhi serve karti hoon...
She went into the kitchen, Rummy joined her too. They were having their dinner quietly expect Rummy as he was very curious to know more about his family, so he asked her.
Rummy- Mom! (Vishakha looked at him) Bataiye ne apko humare bare me kab bataya tha? (With a puppy face) Please bataiye na... Plzzzz!!
Gunny- (sternly) Rummy khane ke time baat nahi karte (Rummy bowed his head in disappointed) Waise bhi maa ko yaad nahi hoga, kitni purani baat hai...
Vishakha- Ahahaha! (Mocking him) maa ko yaad nahi hoga, kitni purani baat hai! Bas 6 mahine pehle ki toh baat hai aur tu bol toh aise raha hai jaise sadiya beet gayi hai.... Waise bhi jitna tumne mujhe sunaya tha wo sab mai kaise bhul jau...
(MGG was smiling constantly where as Rummy was enjoying a lot as since childhood, he had got scolding from his father & unknowingly from his brother too. But he had never imagined that someday he would witness the capt Randhawa getting scolded by someone. He made a mental note to tell about it to his friends also. Grinning he looked at Gunny, who glared him dangerously.)
Vishakha- Maine isse call kiya tha ek din toh isne bataya aap dono ke bare me... Jab maine isse kaha mujhe milna hai, mai waha aa rahi hu toh ye bharak gaya... Kehne laga ki mai pehli hi aapni sehat ka dhyan nahi rakhti aur traveling se meri tabiyat aur kharab ho sakti hai, (imitating Gunny) [mai aapke paas nahi rehta isliye hamesha aapki fikhr rahti hai isliye aap kahi nahi jaoge... Waise bhi aaj mere cadets ki shooting drill hai mai jaa raha hu....] Mujhe kuch bolne bhi nahi diye aur phone patak ke tod diya!
Rummy remembered that day how annoyed he was & how he'd punished them all including his favourite cadet Vidya also. He looked at him. Gunny also remembered that incident & become sad again.
& he immediately excused himself & went to his room without finishing his dinner.
Vishakha sensed something fishy & decided to find out.

Days went on but Gunny's condition didn't improved. He wasn't unable to sleep peacefully, so he's continuously tossing on his bed. Whenever he closed his eyes, memories of Vidya flashed before his eyes. So he was pacing to & fro in his room restlessly. Vishakha saw his miserable state.
She became worried & asked him about the issue. Gunny tried to lied to her but couldn't as his eyes became moist & he hide his face in her lap. Vishakha tried to console him.
Vishakha- Beta! Tumhari aankho me aansu... Kya baat hai... Tum itne bechain kyu ho... Kya hua hai? (Gunny didn't say anything. After not getting any reply from him, she continued) Rummy ne mujhe bataya ki kaise tum sab ne itne bade dushman ka khatma kiya... Kitni bhaduri se mission ko pura kiya. Tum sabko medals bhi mile aur ab toh tum sab wapas se KMA ka hissa ho... Ab humari family bhi complete ho gayi.. Ab toh sab kuch thik ho gaya hai na.. Phir bhi tum itne pareshan kyu ho... Tum khush kyu nahi ho?
Gunny remained silent. Seeing him like that, she again asked
Vishakha- Gunny! Beta kuch toh bolo... Aise chup rahne se toh kuch nahi hoga na... Mujhe batao kya hua hai... Tumhe aise dekh kar mujhe bahut ghabrahat ho rahi hai... please kuch bolo....
(She started sobbing seeing his ignorance, Gunny got up & took her hands in his.)
Gunny- (coldly) Maa! Jab mujhe hi kuch nahi pata toh mai aapko ya kisi aur ko kya batau?
(Vishakha looked at him confusingly & asked-"kya matlab?"
Gunny- (sighing sadly) Kuch nahi maa bas itna samjh lijiye zindagi me pehli bar mujhe nahi pata ki mai kyu paresan hu, kya hua hai mujhe... Kuch achha nahi lagta... kisi cheez me mann nahi lagta...
(He paused for a moment.)
Jaise mai kisi anjaan, andere raaste par bhatak gaya hu, jaha dur-dur tak kuch dikhayi nahi de raha hai, koi nahi hai waha... Bas mai hu ek dum akela... Tanha chala jaa raha hu... Mai wapas aana toh chahta hu par laut nahi paa raha hu.. aisa lagta hai jaise koi mujhe jakad rakha hai... Jitna mai sab bhulne ki koshish karta hu, utna hi sab yaad aata hai....
Vishakha- (tensely) ye kaisi behki-behki baatein kar rahe ho... Teri tabiyat to thik hai na kahi kuch ulta-sidha toh nahi kha liya jo aise anap-snap bake ja rahe ho... Jalebi ki tarah baat ko ghuma rahe ho... Mujhe sidhe-sidhe batao... Wo bhi shuru se...
Gunny- (sighed) Fine Maa... Jab mai KMA me tha tab meri mulaqat ek ladki se hui (she became excited) jo waha ek cadet hai matlab thi... Rummy ki batchmate thi... Bahut brave aur determined thi...
Vishakha- Aur tumhe bahut acchi lagi wo... Hmm toh ye baat hai... (smilingly) pehli baar koi ladki tumhe pasand aayi hai... matlab special toh hogi hi... Naam kya hai uska?
Gunny- (his face lit up remembering her) Vidya!
Vishakha- Vidya! Bahut accha naam hai (something clicked in her mind) par tum baar-baar thi kyu bol rahe ho... Usne drop out kiya kya?
Gunny (his face fall)- Nahi Maa... Wo ab iss duniya me hi nahi hai... (She shockingly looked at him) jis mission ki aap baat kar rahi thi wo uske shahadat se suru hua tha... Jab tak ye mission pura nahi hua tha mere paas ek makshad tha ki mujhe uski maut ka badla lena hai... Uske katilon ko saza dilwana hai par ab... Ab mere paas koi wajah nahi hai, sab khatm ho gaya hai... Sab kuch.
Vishakha couldn't believe on her ears that Gunny is saying like this. Her son who had faced extreme conditions in his life, could get so weak & disappointed from his life. But then she realised that her son who used to fear love, for the first time in his life, had fallen for someone.
She still clearly remembered he was so disturbed by her divorce that he had started hating even the word "love". She had never dreamt that their decision of getting separate would affect him so badly. Her both sons had to suffer a lot from their divorce, but what's the use of all this, she couldn't change the past now.
Vishakha- Gunny beta tum aisa kyu sochte ho kuch khatm nahi hua mere bacche... Mana ki wo aaj humare beech nahi hai par iska matlab ye toh bilkul nahi hai na ki sab khatm ho gaya... Every ending has a new beginning beta... Aur Tum usse bhulna kyu chahate ho... Bhula dena koi solution thodi na hai... Jitna Tum kisi ko bhulana chahoge, wo utna hi tumhe yaad aayega... Usse ek khubsoorat sa sapna samjho... Ek aisa sapna jo tumhe ye yaad dilaye ki tum kitne khas the kisi ke liye.... Tumhara dukhi hona laajmi hai beta par kabhi bhi nirash ho kar aisa kaam nahi karna jisse tumhe, tumhare apno ko ya uss insaan ko dukh pahuche, unka dil dukhe jinhe tum humesha khush dekhna chahte ho....
Gunny was listening her very keenly. After sharing his feelings with her, he felt relieved & doze off. Vishakha softly kissed on his forehead, covered him with blanket & left from there.
Few days later....
Akriti, Purvi, Peter & Mallah had returned from Delhi & Abhimanyu from Barmer.
MGG gave a party in KMA in which he introduced his wife & elder son Gunny to all. He had invited everyone. Both Rummy & Gunny excitedly meet their friends & introduced them to Vishakha. All were happy for them.
Vishakha especially requested Abhi & Shalini to take care of Gunny & never ever leave him alone. Both assured her as being his friends, they were also concerned for him .
Days went by.....
Shockingly one day Major Bhargava now Lt Col came to KMA.
For inspection & that too without a prior information in hope to ruin KMA's reputation & to get his revenge from them but due to Major Sharma his plans flopped.
Then as usually he tried to create rift between the cadets. This time he targeted Purvi for being Dr Ritu Mishra's sister. He revealed her identity in front of whole KMA & also challenged her to shoot on the dummy which had Ritu's picture on it.
Purvi without a second thought emptied her gun on that as she had no emotions left for a traitor.
Gunny & Abhi confronted him for his evil deeds & more to his dismay, he got severe warnings from both BC & MGG as they already knew everything about Purvi. He even tried to provoke her friends but they fully trusted & never left her alone. Shalini started considering Purvi as her younger sister & always encouraged her. Purvi too respect her like a elder sister.
After a lot of failed attempts, Bhargav finally left KMA defeated but vowed that one day he would definitely took his revenge from them especially from Gunny.
After that there're appraisal in KMA, in which every faculty members showcased excellence performance in every task.

This time Shalini shooted the apples very efficiently, everyone impressed by her shooting skills.
Major Sharma won the appraisal & became vice principal of KMA. KMA got full stars this time.
Abhi, Gunny & Suriji always seek opportunities to prank Vaibhavi. The fav five never left a chance to tease each other & eventually ended up quarreling, then get punishments from their seniors.
Aise hi ladte- jagate, haste- khelte kaise waqt beet gaya kisiko pata hi nahi chala.....
Mallah ki English efficient ho gayi thanks to Peter & Peter ki hindi thik ho gayi thanks to Mallah... Even Shalini & Vaibhavi become good friends with due course of time... Gunny & Abhi's tuning become great as well..
Gunny keep pretending that he's happy & everything alright but no one could believed him as his eyes mirrored his emotions even though he tried his best to mask them but always failed miserably in front of his mother, Shalini, Abhi & Vaibhavi as well. MGG was too well aware by his son's state of mind, he also tried to cheer up him but... Still he used to miss Vidya badly.
Final exam's results came as a pleasant shock for everyone. Rummy became the best cadet & Akriti second best cadet. All were very happy for them especially MGG & Gunny for their obvious reasons. Vishakha had tears of joy. After receiving the sword of honour & the oath ceremony, Rummy closed his eyes & thanked Vidya, the very first person who had showed faith in him.
They got their postings in different regions. Looking at their faces, one would get confused as whether they're happy or sad. One side they're extremely happy as now they can serve the country in true sense & on the other side they're extremely sad on leaving KMA but separation from each other hurts them the most. They promised to stay in touch & had a group hug. Suriji was very sad & emotional on their departures, they all promised him that they would call him, send letters regularly & if possible they'll also came to meet him. Shalini, Gunny & Abhi wished them good luck for their bright future.
Indeed KMA had become their home & they're more than a family for each other but they have to leave. The fav five newly lieutenants saluted their seniors & confidently went for a new journey of their lives.
