Next morning arnav woke up with the first ray of sunlight. Actually he hardly slept last night. The bed was small and the whole night he remained awake out of fear that his movements might end up hurting khushi. But because he didn't sleep whole night he discovered one more thing about khushi...her sleep talks!
He recalled how he initially didn't realise when he heard a voice in the room. He looked around but it was actually coming from his side.
Khushi had a smile on his face as she said: devi maaiya aap to janti hai na ki hum aapse kuch nehi chhupatey..us din jo humne daftaar jaatey waqt arnavji se kaha tha ki hamari tabiyaat kharab lag rahi hai, humey chakkar aa rahe hai, wohi jiski wajah se arnavji office nehi gaye they aur ghar baithey phone pe amanji ko daraya tha.... asal mein naa hum bilkul thik they....(God you know na that I don't hide anything from you...that day when I had stopped arnavji from going to office by saying that I was not feeling well...the day when he screamed at amanji from home..i was absolutely fine that day)
Arnav had said a faint what the hearing this but he was more eager to hear the rest.
Khushi continued pouting her lips in her sleep: woh humey na arnavji ke sath waqt bitane ka man kar raha tha....humey man kar raha thi ki hum...(she blushed in her sleep- arnav was amazed at the sight)...bas unki bahon mein din bhar bitaye....(I just wanted to spend some time with him... I wanted to be in his arms the whole day)
She complained: aap to janti hai na agar hum laad governor ko aise kehetey to zarur mana kar dete..hamesha hum jo kehetey hai uska ulta hi to kartey hai...(you know na if I would have said this he would have surely said no....he always does the opposite of what I say)
Then she mumbled something more, which arnav couldn't make out. Then suddenly snuggled deeper into arnav's chest and fell into a deep sleep.
Arnav kissed her lightly on her forehead and touched her cheek. He looked at the sleeping beauty beside her and said: pata nehi har baar..har baar tum kaise yeh saabit karti ho ki tumhara pyaar mere liye har din barta hai...(don't know how you prove everytime that your love for me increases every day)
Arnav came back from his thoughts because of the movement from khushi's side.
Khushi opened her eyes and smiled at arnav saying: good morning!
He gave peck on his lips and said: good morning!
He helped her sit up. These days she really had trouble moving around as her bump had grown a lot.
After making her sit properly on the bed, arnav asked: tum thik ho? (are you alright?)
Khushi gave half smile nodding her head in agreement.
Arnav: Ab to bas kuch hi dino ki baat hai...tumhe darr to nehi lag raha na..I mean..(it's a matter of few days now...are you feeling scared?)
He kissed her on the head.
Khushi held his hand and said: jab aap sath hai to fir humey kisi baat ka koi darr nehi hai...(I am not scared because you are there with me)
Then suddenly khushi's eyes fell on arnav's eyes which were red due to lack of sleep in the night.
Khushi: arey arnavji aapki aankhein aise laal kyun hai? Aap raat bhar thik se soye nehi kya?(why are your eyes red? Didn't you sleep properly last night?)
She looked around the room and realization dawned on her that it was very obvious that he wasn't comfortable in this house. She was so carried away by her own happiness of seeing her parents that she forgot about arnav's discomfort completely. Immediately she was apologetic.
Khushi: arey humey to dhyaan hi nehi raha..aapko aise rehene ki aadat nehi hai aur aap..hum bhi na ..humey maaf kar dijiye arnavji hum log aaj hi shantivan wapas...(I didn't realize...you must have been very uncomfortable here...forgive me arnavji...we will go back today)
Arnav put his fingers on her lips and said: sshhh...
Khushi mujhe yahaan koi taklif nehi ho rahi hai..trust me..(I am not having any problem here..trust me)
Arnav got up from the bed but then stopped as he recalled something. He turned and smirked: waise agar itna hi tarasti ho meri bahon mein aaney ke liye.. to ekbar kahey deti... zindagi bhar office nehi jaata...(if you crave so much for being in my arms, you could have told me..i won't have gone to office all my life)
His mischievous laughter, made her blush to the core. How did he get to know this secret?
Khushi stammered: aa..aapko kaise pa..pata...(how..how do you know...)
Arnav chuckled and sat beside her again, shrugged his shoulder and said: pata to mujhe yeh bhi hai..... He paused and added: ki tum neend mein bhi bolti ho!! (I also know that you sleep talk)
Khushi's mouth opened in awe. Payal used to always complain about this. She realized that she had blabbered everything in her sleep and that is how arnav got to know about that day.
An embarrassed khushi said: woh hum...humne usdin..(actually...that day)
Arnav came very close to her and said huskily: tumne usdin mujhe bewakuf banaya...aur asr ke sath panga lene ka matlab tum janti ho..(you made a fool out of me that day and you know the punishment for fooling around with asr)
Khushi nervously fidgited with her dupatta stealing a glance at her husband.
Arnav seductively lifted her chin up with one finger and said: so khushi..r u ready for the punishment...
Khushi fumbled again: woh..woh..ne...ha...nehi matlab...(actually...I mean.no...ye...no means...)
Arnav naughtily looked at her trembling lips and said with a lopsided smile: lekin tumharey kaaptey huye hoth to kuch aur kahaani bata rahi hai...(but your trembling lips are saying some other story)
His voice was just a whisper now and his lips teased hers by sending sparks in her body by making a feather light touch...
He teased her further: to khushi...kehedo..(so khushi...say)
Khushi: k..kya? (what?)
Arnav trailed his fingers on her face and said: ki jab main tumhare pass nehi hota tab tum mujhe bohot zyada miss karti ho..(that you miss me when I am not near you)
Khushi lost her voice at his seductive touch. Her lips kept on trembling in anticipation. He also gave into it finally and kissed her lips gently by cupping her face. They were totally into each other when the baby kicked khushi bringing them back to reality.
Arnav came out of the trance as khushi said 'aah'
He immediately touched her stomach and said: what happened..khushi..tum thik ho?(what happened khushi..are you alright?)
Khushi adjusted her sitting position and said: haan...hum to thik hai..lekin lagta hai koi aapne papa se bohot naraaz hai...humse kehena chahta hai ki papa sirf mamma se pyaar karta hai..humse nehi.. She made a baby face.(I am fine..but seems like someone is very angry with his father...he is trying to say that papa loves mamma and not me..)
A smile appeared on arnav's face as he said: I see..
He kissed on the baby bump and said: papa's sorry beta...papa loves you a lot...
He then looked upto khushi and brushed her nose saying: khushi...mujhse roothne ke mamle mein yeh bilkul tumhari tarah hai... He smirked and went out of the room.(the baby is just like you when it comes to getting angry at me)
Khushi said with a smile showing a fake anger: laad governor!
After a while everyone was sitting together at the breakfast table, when buaji came laughing with an album in the hand.
Everyone turned towards her. Khushi imitated her and said: haai rey nandkisore...madhumati paglaa gayi kaa..(have you gone crazy madhumati)
Buaji heard her and said: chup karo sankadevi..
She showed one pic to arnav and said still laughing: ee dekho babua...pehechano kaun hai...pehechano..(look at this..see if you can identify..try try)
Khushi saw a smile curving up arnav's lips in a lopsided way looking at it. She tried to take a sneak peek but arnav quickly moved it out of the way.
Arnav looked at buaji and said: yeh... (is this...)And looked in khushi's direction...and said: unbelievable!
Buaji smiled and said: haan babua ...ekdom sahi pehechana (yes you are right)
Arnav started laughing.
Khushi got up from her seat and walked towards arnav and said: humey dekhna hai..dikhaiye...(I want to see..show it to me)
Arnav smiled and said: no...
Khushi turned away and said: thik hai nehi dekhna humey. (ok fine I don't want to see)
Arnav came from behind and showed her the pic. A little khushi was dressed up in shashi's clothes and had put up a moustache to look like her father.
Khushi's mouth opened wide seeing her pic. She was highly embarrassed. She looked at arnav. His teasing smirk was too much to handle. She turned towards buaji and said: aapne arnavji ko hamarey tasveer kyun dikaye? (why did you show that to arnavji)
Buaji ignored her and said: eeha aao babua aur aapne shrimati ke aur bhi karnamey dekho...(come here and see your wife's antics)
Khushi tried to block his way saying: nehi...(no)
Arnav gently pushed her nose and went ahead. Khushi stamped her feet and followed him.
