The three of them walked to Max's house as the sky began to darken and rainclouds surrounded the once blue sky above thundering could be heard in the distance.
"It's gonna start pouring soon, we should be at the mall or like, watching a movie or something," Max said and Valerie nodded
"you don't believe me?"
"I believe you saw some super weird stuff, but you said Mike has sensed you in there before, right?" El nodded and the girl continued "so maybe it was just like that maybe Billy just sensed you somehow."
"but the screams?"
"yeah I know but here's the thing, when Billy is alone with a girl they make like really crazy noises," Valerie snorted as Eleven looked at Max confessed
"that scream?"
"yeah but like happy scream," Valerie had to hold in a laugh causing her face to turn red as Max tried to save the girls innocents
"happy screams? What are happy screams?" but before Max could answer Valerie let out her laugh and they stared at her
"El my sweet innocent El happy scream happen when two or more people have sex, they can even happen when it's only one person" Valerie told her sweetly putting an arm around her shoulder as Max stared at her wide eyed while El only looked confused
"what is sex?"
"ask Hopper or Mike they'll tell you," El nodded and they walked up towards Max's house
"his cars not there," Max said sounding confused "you really wanna do this?" El nodded and they walked into the house and into Billy's bedroom "why do I have a feeling we're gonna find all types of wrong in here?"
"because you're brother is Gross," Valerie told her as they began to search the boys room, Max walked up to Billy's dresser opining it to see magazines with topless girl on the front "ugh gag me with a spoon,"
"they're kinda hot though," Valerie laughed as Max stared at her wide eyed, Valerie turned away from the redhead and walked towards El not seeing they jealous look Max's face wore. Standing behind El they peered into the tub filled with empty bags of ice.
"Max," both girls whispered and the red head appeared behind them staring into the water
"it's just ice, probably for his muscles or something he works out like a maniac," El turned her head the Max and Valerie examined the water, Valerie noticed El not paying attention to the water and turned to see what she was looking at and saw blood on the cabinet doors. El opened up the doors and pulled out a small green trash can.
"what in it?" Valerie asked her as she pulled out a red lifeguard fanny pack and a whistle covered in blood.
The girls decided to walk over to the pool in order to find who the pact and whistle belonged to but once they got there they saw people rushing to get out of the rain luckily the girls had pulled on raincoats before leaving for the pool. They parked their bikes and walked up the front desk.
"excuse me?" Max asked looking at the two workers
"no one in the water until 30 minutes after the last strike, and don't try and argue with me," the boy stated not looking up from his magazine "you wanna go get electrocuted go climb a tree."
"look dude we didn't come her to swim or get fucking electrocuted," Valerie stated her voice raising slightly
"we found this," El told them showing them the fanny pack
"does that belong to anyone?" Max asked as they looked up
"oh yeah that's Heather's I'll give it back to her."
"we could give it back to her."
"you could, except she's not here, bailed on me today," the girls shared a knowing look herring the girl wasn't there "what is this you girls want a award or something,"
"nope we're just good Samaritans," Valerie told them and the girl gave her a odd smile so she smiled back causing Max to glare at the older girl. Valerie noticed El walking away so she grabbed Max's coat and pulled her over to the board El was looking at her eyes landing on a picture of Heather.
"you think you can find her?" Max asked and the girl ripped the picture down. The three of them walked towards the showers and Max and Valerie turned each of them on while El used the picture to find the girl.
"what do you see?"
"a door, a red door." the girl stayed quiet for the next few moment but then suddenly fung off the goggles hyperventilating
"El what happened?" they asked but she didn't answer them.

The three girls rode through the rain stopping in front of a large house "is this it?" Max asked turning to El who hoped off the back of her bike nodding. They walked up to the house and El used her powers to push open the door. Entering the home they heard soft music and laughter coming from the dining area, they walked over and saw Billy sitting with a man and a woman.
"Max," he said as the couple stared at the girls strangely
"we didn't mean to barge in, we tried to knock but maybe you didn't here us over the storm," Max told him and he just stared at her
"I'm sorry who is this Dripping all over my living room right now?" the man asked staring at Billy
"I'm sorry Janet, Tom, this is my sister Maxine," he got up and walked over to them with a strange pep in his steep "what on Earth are you doing here? is something wrong?"
"we just wanted to make sure everything was okay," Max told him looking uncomfortable
"why wouldn't it be okay?" before Max could answer his question Eleven spoke up
"where is she?"
"I'm sorry where is who?" Billy asked voice slightly raised not answering her question just as Heather walked in with a tray of cookies
"well they're a little burnt I'm sorry," she stopped in her tracks and all three girls eyes widened
"Heather this is my sister Maxine her friend Valerie and I did not quit catch your name," ha said staring El right in the eyes
"El."
"El, now what is it you were saying El you were looking for somebody?" El began to stutter trying to make sense of what was happening
"we saw your manager at the pool," Max cut in trying to make the situation less awkward "he said you guys didn't come in for work today so we got worried."
"Heather wasn't feeling so hot today so we thought we'd take the day off to nurse her back to health, but you're feeling just fine now aren't you Heather?"
"I'm feeling so much better." They all stared confused as ever "do you girls want a cookie they're fresh out of the oven?" she extended the tray towards them
"I wanna cookie," Valerie nodded happily and walked over picking one up as Max and El stared at her with big eyes "what?"
"unbelievable," Max rolled her eyes and grabbed Valerie's arms dragging her outside into the rain and towards their bike, Hopping on they began to slowly ride away from the house. Valerie turned her head back to face the house and saw Billy staring at her he gave her a smile and walked inside.
El climbed into the bed next to Max and Valerie as they asked her which comic they should read which she replied she didn't know a frown on her face.
"hey there's nothing to worry about okay," Max told the girl trying to sooth her nerves
"it doesn't make sense,"
"what doesn't make sense?"
"Heather, the blood, the ice."
"Heather had a fever so she took a cold bath, but she's better now, that has to be it I don't know where that blood came from but we saw here, all of us saw her she's totally fine."
"unless they're Being possessed by some super fucking big monster," Valerie laughed but what she said was ignored
"what about Billy?"
"what about him?"
"he seemed wrong."
"wrong is like his default, but it's nice to know he's not a murderer course that would have totally sucked," they all laughed quietly as El leaned forward and pointed to a Wonder Woman comic
"who is that?"
"this is why you can't hang out with Mike all the time," Max picked up the comic and they all got comfortable "this is Wonder Woman aka Princess Diana," Max began to go into detail and Valerie hung on to every word smiling as she leaned closer and Max put and arm around her shoulder.
