"I DON'T GIVE A DAMN BOUT MY REPUTATION!"
Valerie spun around her bedroom 'Bad Repuy' blasting through her radio as she danced in only a tank top and underwear. Her dad was out getting food for his wedding shower in a few days and her mom was at the store she worked at with Joyce byers, Hope was out with Dustin at the mall so Valerie was able to sing her heart out knowing no one would see.
" I DON'T GIVE A DAMN 'BOUT MY REPUTATION! I'VE NEVER BEEN AFRAID OF ANY DEVIATION" She grabbed a hairbrush and used it as a microphone while she swung her hair in all directions she then jumped on top of her bed and began to sing even louder
"AN' I DON'T REALLY CARE IF YOU THINK I'M STRANGE I AIN'T GONNA CHANGE!"
"who knew Bonnie could sing," Valerie head whipped around to her door a horrified look on her face once she saw the two girls standing there smiling with wide eyes "also nice ass Val," her eyes widened even more and her cheeks burned such a deep blush they began to hurt, her hands flew to her shirt and she pulled it down only to see it didn't reach so she just stood there a top her bed embarrassed watching both Max and El burst into laughter "how um...did you...did you get in," she stuttered out stepping off her bed and to her drawer pulling out a pair of shorts and slipping them on
"the door was open,"
"so you just walked in,"
"we knew you were inside."
"how did you know it was me?"
"Cause your parents nor Hope like this song." Valerie smiled at her then looked down to the ground avoiding eye contact still extremely embarrassed
"so what did you want?"
"for you to come with us," Valerie stared at the girl weirdly but before she could ask any questions she grabbed her hand and dragged her out of the house
"can I at least grab my key so I don't get lock out?" Max nodded and let her go allowing her to run to the kitchen and grab her key and also leave a note for her mother incase she got home late. She ran back over to the girls and put the key which were on a chain around her neck and locked the door.
"so where are we going exactly?" Valerie asked as they walked to the nearest bus stop
"Max is taking me to the mall," El answered and Valerie's eyes widened
"um ok is there a reason?"
"Mike is being a bitch," Max answered as they neared the bus stop
"he's always like that so what's new this time?"
"he lied to her so we're teaching her there more to life then stupid boys,"
"oh, well then let's go and show her the true teen experience," she ran forward and stopped once the bus pulled up
"Val I don't know if your definition of a true teen experience is appropriate with her dad being cop,"
"I have no idea what you're talking about."
"why are our nicknames Bonnie and Clyde again?" Valerie smiled innocently at the girl as they took a seat on the bus
"fine I won't teach her that but doesn't mean I can't do it,"
"if we get arrested because of yo-"
"relax jail isn't even that bad."
"of yeah you never did tell me this story."
"oh I didn't, well I got caught that's it."
"you got caught and you're sure it won't happen again?"
"nope, I'm a natural."
"okay sure," Max rolled her eyes a small grin on her face as she stared at the brunette who was staring out the window
It took about only 5 minutes before the bus stopped in front of the mall and everyone aboard hopped off and walked inside. Max and Valerie watched as Eleven's eyes widened stared at the place in front of her.
"so what do you think?" Max asked her and she turned to look towards them
"to many people against the rules,"
"seriously you have super powers what's the worse that could happen," El stared at the two a moment before a smile spread on her face and they entered the building.
"so what shall we do first?" Valerie asked the girl who just stared "she's never been shopping before has she?" she asked Max how just shook her head "then I know the perfect place," she grabbed El's hand and pulled her towards on of her favorite store 'The Gap'.
Max and Valerie watched as El looked through some of the clothes the store had until her eyes landed on a blue shirt the was hanging up
"do you like that?"
"how do I know what I like?" she asked them
"just try everything on until you find something that feels like you," Max answers and Eleven turned to them
"like me?"
"yeah, not Hopper, not Mike, you." The girl gave Max a nod and smiled up at the shirt.
They spent the 2 hours shopping through many stores buying many different outfits that they wanted. They ran to the next store and took a bunch of pictures, The next store they had El trying and heels which she was horrible at seeing as she went toppling down dragging Valerie with her. They burst into fits of giggles and Max helped them up. They spotted a group of girls from them giving them dirty looks but them continued to laugh.
They exited the store and hide behind a wall waiting for the girls to walk out of the store and once they did they started talking to a boy. El stared at them and used her powers to make Heather's drink explode over all of them, they quickly ran away from the scene hand in hand laughing loudly
"see what I tell you there's more to life then stupid boys," Max told her as they ran to scoops ahoy.
"okay I got a strawberry, and two vanilla's one with sprinkles and one with hot fudge," Steve handed them there cones but his eyes lingered on El "are you even allowed to be here?" instead of answered the girls laughed and ran out "oh hey Valerie your sisters here!" she turned to face him confused until she remember Hope had left that morning to see Dustin
"tell her I said hi," he nodded and she went to catch up with the girls, The three of them quickly left the mall smiling and laughing enjoying there ice cream until Max spotted the boys
"you got to be shitting me," they stopped laughing and walked over to the boys who were getting their bikes to leave "isn't this a nice surprise," Max said as they just stared at them
"what are you doing here?" Mike asked Eleven dropping his bike
"shopping." she deadpanned
"this is her new style, what do you think Michael?" Valerie asked him with a raised eyebrow
"what is wrong with you two? you know she's not allowed to be here,"
"what is she your little pet," Max asked annoyed
"yeah an I your pet?"
"what no."
"then why do you treat me like garbage?"
"what?"
"you said Nana was sick,"
"she is sick."
"don't lie to her you already in deep shit as it is," Valerie told him but he continued to lie about trying to get a gift for his Nana, but El wasn't buying it and walked up to his face
"I dump your ass!" she told him and all their mouths fell open, the girls walked back to the bus and Max turned back around to face Lucas
"I dump your ass too Lucas!" and she got on the bus and they all began to laugh.
