*Opal's POV*
Lauren hasn't appeared ever since.
I was at home reading a book until something brushed past me. That caught my attention.
I looked around the room to see nothing. I shrugged my shoulders as I continued reading my book.
Help me...
Right.
It's a freaking ghost.
I turned around to see a little child.
He stared at me with hi puppy eyes.
I smiled at him.
“Hello little boy, what are you doing here?”
I lost my mummy...
I frowned at him.
“Does your mummy know you... died?”
He shook his head, tears slid down his eyes.
I went shopping with her last week... it was too crowded and I got lost... I died because I wasn’t watching where I was going and a bike crashed me... I couldn’t wake up. That person wouldn’t bring me to the hospital... I died from the loss of blood...
I started to cry at the story...
“Well, you shouldn’t have wondered off, am I right?”
The boy nodded his head.
Take me to my mummy... please?
I thought for a while...
Why not? I mean, it’s just a ghost, the boy can just bring me to his mum and I can explain to his mother and pass a message from the boy to his mother...
“You’ll bring me to your mother, right?”
He nodded.
“Alright, let’s go...”
The boy walked in front of me. I was following the boy.
We went out of my flat and down the stairs.
I was focusing on the boy and didn't care about anything else.
It was a long walk, but I didn't mind. I just kept following the boy.
Then, I heard a loud car horn.
I turned my head towards where the beeping came from.
It was a car coming towards me.
I was going to run, but it was too late.
I fell on the ground.
But for some reason, I wasn't hurt.
I was hugged tightly.
Then I realized.
Peter saved my life.
"Peter." I said.
I felt something watery on my hand.
I looked at me hand.
It was blood. Not my blood. It's Peter's blood.
Damn.
He risked his life to save me.
I released myself from Peter.
Then, I looked at him.
"Don't tell me you're dead. Please don't."
His eyelids flickered.
"Opal... You're alive!"
Tear fell from my face.
"You didn't have to save me. It should be me who's dead."
He simply let out a smile and his eyelids dropped.
There was a sound of sirens and the ambulance took him in the car and they brought me as well.
Please don't tell me this is happening... This is NOT happening...
