I can't believe it. Me, punched Weiss?! Why would I do that anyway? I wanted to be friends with them, not give them more of a reason to hate me. But when she tried to take the lantern from me, It felt like my life was going to be taken away from me. I sigh from this and lay down then heard a knock on my door. Well more like banging.
Y/n: coming
I walk to the door and open it to see a pissed yang.
Y/n: this is about weiss isnt it?
Yang: *nods*
Y/n: look I dont know what came over me.
Yang: so you punch her?!
Y/n: it's not any different for what you guys treat me.
Yang: what does the me-
Y/n: IT MEANS YOU GUYS ARE NOTHING BUT HYPOCRITES
This made yang suprised from my raised voice.
Y/n: I wanted to be friends with you guys but you just spat in my face for no reason. AND IF YOUR LOOKING FOR AN APOLOGY THEN GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!!
I slammed my door in her face and let out a frustrated sigh.
Y/n: why do I always lose some and never gain some?

You see, long ago there were people who wanted the power to control everything. Power, wealth, fame, pleasure of the flesh, you name it. So they searched for a special lantern that had the abilities they needed for this goal. They found the power but died trying to use it. Because of the emotion it fills them with.

3rd POV
Yang came back to the dorm with her team helping weiss clean up from the punch. Weiss looks to see yang was back
Weiss: did you beat him up?
Yang: no but he did snap at me.
Blake: then why didn't you beat him?
Yang was really unsure about Y/n. Not the fact of not hitting him, but the fact of why did they hurt him.
Yang: hey girls
RWY: yeah?
Yang: why did we start bullying Y/n?
Ruby: what do you mean?
Yang: like did he do anything to deserve it?
Blake: well he did punch weiss
Yang: like before that guys, come on.
Weiss: well he...... umm...... I dont know
The 4 girls looked down in feeling shame for what they did. Y/n never did anything to them now they feel guilt for the pain they caused him.
Ruby: we need to make it up to him somehow
Weiss: let's talk the the other teams and have them join us to get Y/n as our friend.
Yang: I like that idea
Blake: do we still have a chance?
Ruby: yes we do blake. Now let's get to work
Y/n POV
Y/n: greed?
Yes child. GREED is the desire to want something and never give back. Have you ever wanted something young man?
Y/n: well yes. I remember that awesome new baseball bat when I was 7 years old

What about when weiss was going to take the lantern from you? You felt the power of greed flow through you and never wanted to give it to anyone else but yourself
He was right, the feeling of the lantern was amazing. And I didn't want weiss to have it. It was........ mine

I was hesitant at first but I grabbed it and I felt the sensation again. It felt great, amazing even. But it's not enough

*chuckles* then the lantern is what you want Y/n. It's down the elevator with a secret button on it. You will become strong enough. And take what you want.
I was shivering with joy. I never gotten anything and I won't let the lantern be held away from me. I go through my drawer and pull out a pistol and his it in my hoodie pocket.
Y/n: the lantern is mine and only mine.
I leave my room and go the elevator.
Timeskip
I'm at the elevator trying to find the button I look to see teams RWBY and JNPR looking around until nora saw me.
Nora: Oh Y/n wait a bit.
They walk towards me and I became frantic. I look and see a different colored button and I push it. The doors close but not fast enough to have ruby, blake, and ren get in the elevator taking us down.
Ruby: phew! Thank goodness we made it.
Blake: Y/n we need to talk for a second
Y/n: I'm busy right now ask later.
Ren: its really something to discuss
Y/n: it can wait!
They were about to talk again until the elevator stopped opening to reveal the lantern. My was filled with joy seeing the lantern. I dash to it and grab ahold of it once again feeling the warmth is gave.
Y/n: yes! Finally reunited again my precious lantern.
Ruby: The Lantern from the mission?
Blake: why did Y/n want to go here?
Ren: wait......*shocked* Y/N DROP THAT NOW!
The we look at Ren surprised. Soon I looked at him offended
Y/n: what are you on about?!
Ren: Y/n that is the orange lantern! The lantern of Greed.
Blake: greed?
Ren: long ago a group of people were looking for a power source to concur the universe and found an orange lantern. This lantern filled them with the desire to take and keep things to themselves, including the lantern. After that they began to kill each other to keep the power for themselves. In the end only one person becomes part of the lanterns.
The gilrs were shocked but not me. This is mine and mine alone.
Y/n: I don't care what you say the lantern belongs to me and only me. NO ONE ELSE CAN HAVE IT!!
Ruby: Y/n the lantern is dangerous please put it back.
Why? WHY ARE THEY NOT INSULTING ME!?!

Then the flames leave as I see the lantern was on my waist and smaller now. And in rocking a new shirt too
