Later that night. Monse and I face timed.
"You got this Monse" I say as I put my phone on speaker.
Ryan's taking her out on their first date today.
"I look ugly don't I? " Monse sighs.
"No u look hot as fuck. Ryan's gonna love you" I laugh reassuring here.
"Aaaah he's here" she screams.
"I'll speak to you later have fuuun" I squeal as I end facetime.
My dad leans against my door.
"Monse's on her date?" Dad asks.
I nod before putting on my hoodie.
"Today's dinner is lasagne" Dad smiles as we head down the stairs.
"Oooh it smells amazing" I squeal as I walk into the kitchen.
"Thank you" Dad smiles as he begins plating up.
I take a seat across from dad as he hands me my plate of lasagne.
"Ryan. A good kid." Dad smiles and I nod in agreement.
"Mmh this tastes amazing " Dad smiles taking a sip of his water.
"This is amazing dad" I smile digging in for for.
"I'm the best chef ever" he laughs and I give him a high five.
The front door knocks.
Hope it's not those stupid kids again.
"I'll get it" Dad smiles as he walks to open the door.
I continue to eat my food only to be stopped by a bunch of shouting at the front door.
I run towards the door to see dad and this young man arguing.
"Dad you okay?" I whisper standing inbetween him and the man.
"Alma do you know this boy? " he says pointing to the guy.
I remembered him from the mall when he came up to me and Oscar but I was confused as to why he was here.
"erm yeah I do. Dad go eat I'll handle this" I stutter not knowing why I lied.
Dad looks at the boy and then looks back at me. He nods and turns to leave.
As dad leaves I motion the guy to sit on the bench outside on the patio but he stays standing.
"I'm Latrelle" He whispers.
"I'm Al-" I say.
"Alma I know. You Spooky's girl?" he Latrelle questions.
What?
"Spooky's erm no" I stutter wondering what was going on.
"So what are u doing at my house" I ask.
"I thought you were cute." Latrelle smiles.
Seriously what is going on?
"Thanks I guess but it still doesn't explain why you're here" I laugh.
"No it doesn't" He smiles.
I had realised where was from.
"You're in the Prophets right and Santos and Prophets are enemies or something" I stutter.
I was pretty close to the santos and if they found out I was talking to a Prophet.
I'd be in alot of trouble.
"Yeah that's right but that's not why I'm here. I wanted to shoot my shot" He laughs.
I smile trying not to blush.
A car pulls up on the sidewalk.
"Latrelle you done? " The driver shouts.
"Alright I gotta go that's my brother" he whispers as he throws a bag at me to catch.
I watch as he runs to the car and I begin to inspect the bag.
The dress.
The maroon dress I wore at the mall.
"What's this for?" I shout hiding it up to admire it.
"For our first date" He shouts as he enters the car.
As the car drives away I look down the the beautiful dress I was holding and begun smiling like a complete idiot.
The door opens causing me to jump up.
"Alma is that boy gone yet? " My dad whispers as he peeks his head outside.
"Yeah dad he's gone" I smile trying to hide the dress behind my back.
He looks at the street again making sure the boy had left.
"Come in. The food is getting cold" he says.
Did I just get asked out?
Some one asked me out.
A prophet just asked me out.
"What's wrong? " Dad asks.
"Oh nothing. I'm just tired" I smile placing our dishes in the sink.
"I'm tired too. It's been a long day" Dad smiles.
I give him a hug and head up the stairs.
"Night dad" I smile.
"Night Alma" He smiles back.
I throw my dress into my closet and jump in bed.
I lay under my blanket and pull out my phone to call Monse.
"How was it? " I squeal.
"It was amazing Ryan looked so cute." Monse squealed.
Glad the date went well.
Just then I get a call from Cesar.
"I'm gonna call you back Monse" I smile.
"okay" she smiles as I end the call.
I answer Cesar's call.
"Hey cesar what's up" I smile holding the phone to my ear.
"Did Monse come back from her date." Cesar asks.
"Yess she did" I laugh.
"Did she love it or hate it please tell me she hated it? " he stutter.
I was debating whether to tell him or not but I stuck with the truth.
"Sorry Cesar but she liked it and she likes him" I whisper.
It was broke my heart to tell Cesar but he had to know that Monse doesn't like him.
He has to move on.
