"Holy frick." Lloyd mumbled as he tried to block flashing cameras' light with his hand "Dude I literally was dead two hours ago, please stop with the cameras." He muttered quietly as he walked "I just want a comic book."
He'd tried to sneak out the window of the castle but had been caught by Kai who had simply grumbled "You died just a few hours ago, you're not going anywhere alone." Lloyd looked over at Kai
"Still think I shouldn't've climbed out the window?"
"There may have been less press if I had let you..."
"Ya think?"
Kai laughed "All this for a comic book? Is it worth it?"
"Yep, I have money that I got from mowing people's lawns in Jamanikai village a few weeks before I became emperor, so I can get this comic."
"Okay man, I'm just saying, there's other stuff you can spend your money on."
"Like candy."
"Uh sure."
"I like candy."
"I know ya do buddy." Kai laughed as the two walked towards Doomsday Comics

Lloyd grinned as he opened his new comic and a big bag of sour patch kids. Garmadon pokes his head in "Go to bed it's ten."
"Ten more minutes."
"No, you already don't sleep enough, and I wanted you to be in bed by nine."
"Yeah, pretty sure I have insomnia or something." Lloyd answered pulling out his phone
"You don't know that."
"The internet says it's pretty common, and pretty self-diagnosable." Lloyd showed Garmadon the phone
"The internet also says it can be liked to depression, poor sleeping habits, anxiety, and a whole bunch of other things." Garmadon replied, taking Lloyd's phone "And that there are over three million cases per year."
"I mean technically I do have anxiety."
"What?"
"A few years after you... Died, uncle Wu got worried because I was acting weird and well, anxiety, and for a while depression."
"Oh."
"You were gone for a long time dad, but you're here now and not dead and not evil so it's gonna turn out okay."
"Yeah." Garmadon said as he hugged his son "You didn't do anything to yourself when you had depression... Did you?"
"Uh..."
"Lloyd."
"Um..."
"LLOYD."
"It was only a few times, and Kai caught me and hid everything that's sharp from me for months."
"Son."
"I'm fine now, that's what matters."
"Son."
"Dad."
"You haven't recently... Right?"
"No, of course I haven't. I.... It was hard after everything.... Y'know with you... Dying, and the whole Morro situation."
"Did he, say something to you, that made you..."
"I..." Lloyd breathed "Kind of.... He was in my head, both literally and figuratively, I couldn't get away, and he wouldn't stop... Encouraging me to... to." Lloyd made a gesture that looked like he was stabbing his own stomach "Off myself once he got want he wanted." He mumbled
Garmadon gasped "You didn't try to-"
"No! No of course I didn't!" He sighed "At points I wanted to, but I reminded myself that I don't get to die until I get killed or am old." He shrugged "Ninjago needs me."
Garmadon was tearing up as he hugged his son "Please never think to do those things again."
"I won't, I promise."

"Lloyd you're not coming with us!" Kai exclaimed
"I'm the green ninja, I can handle a bank robbery!" Lloyd complained
"You're also the emperor of Ninjago! You can't get killed!"
"I'm not gonna get killed!"
"You don't know that!"
"I'll be fine!"
"Lloyd!"
"Kai!"
"You're not coming."
"Yes I am. You can't stop me."
"Yeah, I can." Kai grabbed Lloyd and carried the blond on his shoulder
"Kai! Put me down!"
"Nope."
"Kai!!!"

"Kai! If you don't let me out right now-"
"Lloyd, all I did was lock you in your room and ask some guards to keep an eye on your window so you don't try to help with the bank robbery."
"Just let me help!"
"You could get killed Lloyd."
"This is stupid." Lloyd mumbled under his breath as he sat on the floor

"Okay So He's still upset about me locking him in his room so he wouldn't get killed." Kai explained as he and the other ninja, not including Lloyd, walked towards Lloyd's room with birthday presents to give their blond friend
"He probably would have been fine Kai." Zane pointed out
"I know, but I don't want him to get hurt."
"We're here," Nya pointed out "Presents at the ready."
Kai knocked on the door. "Hey Lloyd?" The group waited a second "Lloyd?" Kai opened the door "Lloyd?"
Nya looked around the room, "He's not here." The window of the room was wide open, and Lloyd's comics and candy were nowhere to be seen "Did he, run away?"
"That wouldn't make sense, this is Lloyd we're talking about." Cole stated "He doesn't run away."
"Cole's right," Jay agreed "Lloyd wouldn't run away."
"Come to think of it, as anyone seen Wu or Garmadon today?" Kai asked
"Well, they did have to go up to the monastery to check on Misako, and haven't come back yet. Maybe Lloyd went with them."
"He did not, all six of us saw them off last night, Sensei and Garmadon left and Lloyd was with us." Zane pointed out "He may have simply snuck out to get a comic and hasn't come back yet."
As the five were talking Lloyd quietly climbed into his room through the window. "Oh crap." He said quietly
"Lloyd!" Kai shouted when he saw the green clad teen "Where'd you go?! We got worried."
"I wanted some fresh air as I took my comics and candy to the roof and read up there."
"Oh." Kai smiled "We've got presents for you!"
"Oh, I'm not gonna get lectured for not telling anyone?" Lloyd laughed
"Nah, it's your birthday, your off the hook."
"Anyway," Cole butted in "We've got presents."
After a few minutes Lloyd had opened all the presents and was hanging up his new limited edition Starfarer poster "Thanks guys." He smiled, just before the room went dark. "What the he-" Lloyd began, but when the lights came back on
"LLOYD?!" The ninja yelled, as the green clad hero, was gone
