I was on a mission to get me some cheese burgers from Burger King, when Agent Hill called.
"Barnes, I need you to report to the hospital."
"Почему?" (Why?)
"Director Fury's been shot."
I rushed over to the hospital. I parked my Lamborgini behind Natasha's car. I madly rushed up to the O.R.
By the time I got there, Fury was gone. Steve held me as I cried. After a while, Steve took me back to his apartment, seeing as how I lived at S.H.I.E.L.D. full time.
"What did he look like?"
"What?"
"The bastard who shot Fury. What did he look like?" I said in my thickly Russian-accented voice.
"He had chin length hair, and blue eyes."
"Did he wear all black?"
"Yeah."
"Did he have a metal arm as well?"
I prayed to the gods that his next answer was different than my thinking.
"Yeah. How-" Steve asked.
"Did I know?"
I mentally prepared myself for his reaction, then took my jacket off.
"That's not all."
"What else are hiding?" Steve asked through gritted teeth.
"My name isn't Lexi Jones."
"What is it, then?"
I winced slightly at the anger in his voice.
"My name Irina Alexandria Barnes. Daughter of James 'Bucky' Buchanan Barnes."
