I flutter my eyes open squinting because of the light my mother fell asleep holding Miguel he looks at me I could tell by how red his little nose is he's been crying I opened my arms to him he carefully got down from his grandma lap and made his way into the bed he laid his head on my chest running my hands through his curls he start crying again this is new because he barely cry
I held him tighter rubbing his back kissing his forehead "I'm right here stop crying" he nod hugging me
he fell asleep in my lap I heard the door open I looked up at the doctor he gave me a lip tight smile I did the same
"I have good news and bad news" he started my mother woke up slowly sitting herself up
I nodded my head "bad news first" just rip the bandaid off i'm ready for it I thought to myself
"You had a miscarriage" his words came out slow making me frown my mother covered her mouth not making any noise
I swallowed "okay" I whispered
"but the other baby seems to be-"
"say what now?" I said trying not to yell with Miguel on my chest
"You were pregnant with twins Camila" my mother turned her head to me
I couldn't look at her I felt her eyes piercing on the side of my face I keep my eyes on the doctor
"How far long was- is she?" my mother asked the doctor
"Three weeks to be exact" the doctor said I looked at Miguel and I swallowed the lump in my throat "that is all" the doctor said walking out
"okay thank you" I whispered
"You had sex with that man?" my mother tone scared me I still couldn't look at her
"Camila I asked you a question" my mother said through gritted teeth
I nodded my head and looked at her
"I don't want the baby ma" I said in a whisper she shook her head
"you were dumb enough to have unprotected sex with that man you're going to have that man child" she said grabbing her purse
"mo-"
"Camila I don't have anymore time for your games" she said walking out
I sighed and the door opened again Taylor walked in she had a bump now I smiled at her she smiled back at me sitting down
"Hey my love" she said rubbing my forehead
"Hey Tay" she kissed Miguel forehead and he shifted in his sleep I moved him off of me laying he next to me he cuddled into my side as I played with his curls again
"Your mom told me everything-" Taylor said in a low tone I looked at her bitting the inside of my cheek
"we can pull up to his house and burn it down" she said sitting up I shook my head
"I don't know where he live" I said in a whisper
"what?" she said dumbly
"I don't know shit about him Taylor okay" I said looking at her she looked at me with wide eyes and closed her eyes sighing
"Camila that's really d-" I rolled my eyes and groaned
"don't you think I know that ?!" I semi yelled looking away from her trying not to cry
"I don't even want this stupid child but my mother said i'm responsible for laying down with him without protection"
"Cam your mom is right don't hate the baby be mad at yourself for sleeping with that idiot without knowing anything about him" Tay sighed
"i'm hungry" she laughed making me smile
"I want to get out of this stupid hospital bed" I shifted my weight away from Miguel sitting up
"when can you leave?" she asked me I shrugged
"Tomorrow?" I said more like i'm questioning myself she smiled
"what kind of food do you want?" she asked getting up
"burger king" I smirked she faked gagged
"heck no"
"okay then what do you want Taylor" I said rolling my eyes
"your eyes are going to get stuck" she started laughing
