This is the first piece of writing I've ever written. It's safe to say when I go back and try to read this story, I cringe. Some parts I still like, and most parts I'm like wow ok why did I ever think this was ok enough to publish?
There are grammar mistakes, bad writing, barely any reference to time as in days they've been together and such, and just bad/cliché plot sometimes. I'm not going to revise or edit it because I'd rather just spend my time writing other stuff. So yeah, go easy on me with the criticism and read at your own risk.
The first few chapter's of this book are in third person. The rest are either in Ryder's POV or Jasmine's POV.

Ryder took a deep breath as he turned off his car that was currently parked in front of his school. He looked around the almost empty parking lot not realizing he had left this early. He would usually wait for his other pack members but once again his father decided to sit him down and stress how important it is for him to find his mate...and fast. Ryder replied with a roll of his eyes and an "I know" before he excused himself and walked out before his father could nag him even more. He would have never gotten away with excusing himself, rather than being excused, if he wasn't so close to becoming Alpha. Ryder knew how important it was for him to find a mate, he didn't need his father to tell him. Not only did he know how important it was for the pack to have a Luna, he also knew having a mate would make things better for him. Someone to hold and talk to when pack duties got a little too much. Someone to remind him that he can do it when he began to doubt himself. Someone to love him. Someone he loved.
A honk of a car nearby shook him out of his thoughts, and kind of made him jump, as he looked over to see his soon to be beta, and best friend, parking right next to him with his mate Lauren, laughing at how they managed to scare the big bad Alpha.
Brad rolled down his window with a grin, "Dude for a guy that's supposed to be Alpha soon, you sure do get scared easily"
Ryder smiled and put up his middle finger speaking with a smirk, "Shut up, Bradley, I can take away that Beta position faster than you know" he teased.
"Oh shut up Ryder, you could never. I can practically see the soft spot you have for this dork. That's how big it is," Lauren said while laughing before Brad playfully shoved her for calling him a dork.
The couple got out of the car, with Ryder doing the same, and Ryder couldn't help but notice the way they intertwined their fingers so naturally as they held hands. It's something mates don't even notice they're doing anymore. The way their hands and their bodies fit together perfectly. How could he not want that?
"Why are you here so early, man? Your dad getting on your back again?" Brad asked as they started walking.
"Yeah as usual, but I decided I'm just gonna head to the office and pick up some paper work before school anyway," The school administration was all ran by adult members of the pack. All the pack paper work was printed and organized in the office at school, than brought to the pack house to be looked over and processed by Ryder and his dad, who was still head in command, "What about you guys?
"She's dragging me to her Winter Ball committee meeting..." Brad rolled his eyes before he heard a gasp and received a smack on the arm from his mate.
"Excuse me? That is not true. You offered to drive me!" Lauren practically yelled.
Brad laughed as he wrapped his arm around her waist tugging her closer, kissing her on the temple before he spoke, "I know, baby, I was just joking. C'mon you're late. Bye Ryder, see you later"
Ryder waved them off as he walked inside a different entrance towards the office. He saw a Winter Ball flyer hanging and sighed. It's the biggest dance of the year besides prom, and he probably wasn't going to go this year. It sucked not going with a date, especially when all the other senior pack members had their mates to go with. He walked into the office and flashed a smile towards his mom's best friend, who he calls his aunt.
"Morning Aunt Sally. How are you?"
"I'm good bud, why are you here so early?
"Just thought I'd pick up some paper work and go through it so I didn't have to do it later."
"Ok, I'll get that printed for you. It's a lot this week so you can take a seat and wait if you want."
"Ok, thanks." Ryder took a seat and pulled out his phone to give him something to do. Awhile passed of him scrolling through twitter when he heard speaking and a strong scent he had never smelt, causing him to look up.
"Mom, this school is huge I'm gonna get lost so easily. Mierda (Shit)." (Yeah from my Spanish speaking readers, I'm aware that the Spanish in some parts and other chapters is incorrect, but just bear with me please! Don't know why the hell I tried adding Spanish to a story, when I clearly don't know the language lmao)
"Hey! No cursing even if it's in Español."
"Lo siento (Sorry)."
By now Ryder was practically in a trance. He'd be totally gone if he could see her face, but her long dark brown, almost black, hair was blocking her profile from him. She was wearing light black skinny jeans that he couldn't help but notice complimented her butt, a white crop top revealing a little of her tanned stomach, and a cardigan to keep out the winter cold. She seemed to be the perfect height for him. Her beautiful scent was getting closer as they walked towards the main desk, and his wolf was not so calm about it.
"Um hi my name's Jasmine Lopez and I'm a new student. Today's my first day."
"Ah yes, Ms. Lopez let me get your schedule and your locker information for you. And your mom can fill out some paper work."
"Ok thank you."
Jasmine took this down time to look around the office and try to remember just how she got here considering she'd probably need to come here again. Her eyes met with the Winter Ball flyer then continued before she locked eyes with a guy who seemed to already be looking at her. Ryder's jaw slightly opened as he took in how beautiful she was. Stunning actually. He could look at her light brown eyes, that were surrounded by thick eye lashes, forever. Her dark hair looked beautiful against her tanned skin, which looked natural, and her lips, full and a light shade of pink that made him subconsciously lick his. He could feel his heart beat pick up.
"Mate" His wolf spoke causing his heart to pick up even more. He had to hold back a smile when he heard this, and he had to try extra hard to hold it back when he heard her heart beat pick up.
Sally spoke loudly causing both of them to look away, "Ok! You're all set. You'll love it here, trust me. Everybody does. I'll get someone from council to show you around-wait actually Ryder since you're here, would you mind showing Ms. Lopez around?"
Jasmine looked down at her feet trying to use her hair to hide her blush of embarrassment. Of course the guy that she had just been literally staring at would be assigned to show her around. She couldn't help it, he was well...gorgeous. His brown hair wasn't super long but it was long enough to be jelled up in a small quiff. He has brown eyes that were a little darker than hers, and a jaw line that could kill. And those lips...don't get her started on those lips. To top it off he was wearing a white t-shirt with a black jacket that definitely complimented him.
He rose up from his chair and collected himself so he didn't stutter on his words, "No of course not! I would love to." He spoke the last part looking at Jasmine and noticed he made her blush, and he could swear right then and there that that was the cutest thing he had ever witnessed.
"Ryder Smith. Pleasure to meet you." He introduced himself with a smile, being the gentleman his parents raised him to be, reaching his hand out for Jasmine to shake.
Jasmine's smile came naturally as she wrapped her hand in his. His touch was warm and electric and it confused her yet she didn't want to let go. She introduced herself as well, "Jasmine Lopez. It's nice to meet you too."
Her voice and her touch were soft and it made Ryder melt. He was on top of the world right now. He has finally found her.

I apologize if any of the casual Spanish is off, I wanted to make Jasmine be able to speak almost fluet Spanish, just to add to her character because for some reason I think it's cool to be bilangual, and I didn't want the typical American girl that seems to be in all these types of stories. However I clearly don't speak Spanish haha so I had to rely on the internet. I also take French in school...so that doesn't help either.
(Omg reading this like a year+ later and really questioning why I thought publishing writing with incorrect Spanish would ever be ok hahahaha wow you live and you learn)
