I was making us late, as per usual. After work I got distracted with a video on FaceBook missing my chance to shower first when Mason went straight to it once he walked into the house. He got out grinning at me asking me to hurry up already but I couldn’t move, fixated on his wet towel covered body. Since we kissed everything was harder to ignore, difficult to act innocent and knowing how easy it would be to go over and kiss him right now knowing we would have this place to ourselves made it worse. The only reason I didn’t was knowing the guys would be waiting for us. I forced myself away wondering to the bathroom to shower knowing I had a boner I’d need to fix before we go out, if I didn’t I’d end up having one for most of the night and somebody would be bound to notice. Anyway we should probably behave tonight so it doesn’t look like to Blair and Levi that we are up to anything, especially after when I kissed him the other day in front of them. At least Tony would be there to stop them both going on about us.

My shower was long mostly because it was taking me so long to relieve myself which I couldn’t understand. I thought I needed it but I was staring to think it was Mason I needed specifically. It was almost eight when I got out finally managing to finish myself then clean up myself and the mess on the shower floor. Mason wasn’t in my room when I got in there probably meaning he was waiting for me downstairs. We were suppose to be at the bowling alley at half eight and it would take twenty minutes to get there as it was close to town.

I tried to hurry to get dressed pulling on some grey boxer shorts then a pair of really tight black jeans which I had to fight to get into the fact I was still wet not helping. I sprayed deodorant and found a loose white t-shirt putting it on before towel drying my hair as best as possible before I scraped it back into a really high tight bun leaving no bits hanging down like I normally would. To keep myself warm I found a blue jean jacket then pulled on my black nike trainers bounding down the stairs praying Mason wouldn’t be annoyed that I was making us last again. “About time. Ready?” He shot over his head sitting on the sofa. I grabbed my keys from the table by the front door pocketing them as well as my wallet calling a ready to him.

It took me longer than it should of again to lock up as I snuck glances to Mason who was heading over to my passenger seat in my car waiting for me to unlock it. He was wearing some black joggers as well as one of my crew neck jumpers it being baggy on him like always but neither of us cared because he looked great... His hair was now dry pushed back over his head some sticking up, stubble around his jaw as he hadn’t shaved since staying here these past few days, his lips looked so pink and god did I want to feel them on mine again.

“Let’s go we are late.” He mumbled as we both climbed into my car him reaching for the radio as I started it up looking over my shoulder to make sure it was safe to pull off my driveway edging out until it was safe to do so.

‘I wanna hold you when I’m not suppose to/when I’m lying close to someone else/your stuck in my head and I can’t get you out of it/if I could do it all again/I know I’d go back to you.’ The radio played as Mason settled on the channel the music continuing making me smile at the lyrics.

“I’m so going to smash it tonight.” I spoke up initially meaning the game we would be soon playing but my mind quickly slipped towards something less innocent.

“No. I always win.” He replied moving to face me instead of stare out the window as I carefully drove on the wet roads as now the ice was gone leaving behind cold wet days.

“You never win.” I laughed glancing to him and his cheeky grin.

“Maybe you should let me for once. Help me out.” He was teasing me I’m sure that’s what it felt like. That he knew that I was close to turning this car around or even stopping it at the side of the road and ramming my mouth back on his. I ignored him looking for my next turn in the road knowing it was coming up soon.

As we pulled into the car park a little while later Tony’s car was easy to spot it being bright green. The space next to it was empty so I parked up beside him checking the car clock before it went off to see how late we were, 8:37, not too bad for us. “So what’s our excuse for being late?” Mason asked as we met up in front of the car walking side by side towards the entrance.

I looked over to him still fighting back my urges forgetting my words. “They will ask we should say something so they don’t just assume, especially Levi.” He continued reminding me he was asking me a question.

“Oh erm say it took ages to lock up or something.” I shrugged pushing open the door moving aside to let him pass me first.

“Yeah that’s it blame me! It was your fault again.” He laughed making me smile and roll my eyes.

“Your meant to have my back.” I bumped my shoulder into his our laughs continuing even as we spotted the guys sitting in an isle already waiting for us.

“What’s so funny?” Levi smirked already thinking he knew we were up to something as we finally stood in front of them. He had his hands on his hips my eyes scanned him briefly already knowing by now that I wasn’t attracted to him in the slightest. He was quite a short small guy, thinner than Mason and without any muscle definition either. He needed to eat more but it wasn’t only that but he also was either too much to handle or was too boring he didn’t have an in-between.

“I was just saying how I knew you’d be on us about being late. Brandon took an hour in the shower.” Mason spoke up sticking his tongue out at me when I gasped over the top that he blamed me, even if it was my fault.

“Was you in the shower with him?” Levi asked an even bigger smirk on his face.

“Alright leave it be can we get this game going?” Blair spoke up already picking out a green ball from the holder holding it ready to throw it down the track that had no side bumpers up.

“We always play bumpers?” Mason asked seeming to read my mind.

“Not today.” Blair answered shrugging.

“Hey.” Tony finally came over to us from behind his voice making me jump as he brushed between us a tray of drinks in his hands placing them down on a round table.

“Tony is there a reason Blair is punishing us all without bumpers?” I spoke up as Mason headed to Blair’s side looking over the balls to find one right for him. I heard Levi teasing him telling him to go for yellow the lightest colour although that’s probably only because he knew he would struggle with anything more himself.

“He probably wants a laugh that’s all.” He handed me a drink and I thanked him for it. It wasn’t long before Nora was brought up and I had to quickly try to fill him in on what had happened quietly so Levi wouldn’t but in with his jokes. He was quite sympathetic but I shrugged if off not needing anybody to feel sorry for me, honestly I was kind of over it, more so when I looked at Mason who was currently laughing at something Levi was saying his shoulders shaking as he did.

Above my head was the board that says who goes first and I was surprised to see me maybe that’s why everyone was still standing around doing nothing. In one movement I found a purple ball, one of the heaviest then ran past everyone to the line launching the ball down the alley it smashing into the middle pins flying everywhere knocking whatever I didn’t hit with the ball over too... strike. Cockily I turned around seeing everyone’s eyes on me, Levi telling me I was a show off, Blair standing shocked, Tony the same the only person I really looked at properly though was Mason who was proudly looking at me face lit up.

“Beat that.” I winked at Mason knowing he was next. Slowly he tore himself away from me finding a red ball which was one lighter than the purple. He was in more of a playful mood than me laughing with the guys all the way to the throw line not paying too much attention to what he was doing until he lined himself up forcefully sending the ball in the right direction it taking out the majority of the pins. “Not too bad.” I offered him a reassuring smile when he came past me for his ball again.

We continued playing for a little while eventually it turning silly as we pushed each other making them miss their turn it ending in the gutter or barely hitting anything. I watched as Levi attempted to trip Mason over as he walked over to take his turn them both laughing as I spoke to Blair about Bryson who somehow had been brought up, I wasn’t sure if by me or Blair. “His such a twat.” I shook me head checking over my shoulder as I heard pins being knocked down to check how well he did. “Plus his gay? Did you know that?” I turned back to Blair to see his reaction it being amused at something.

“Yeah. Mason told me.” He hinted that he knew what they had done together probably thinking I was acting jealous, I suppose I am.

“Another reason for me to not like him.” We both laughed the conversation coming to a close as Mason came up behind me holding the ball on his shoulder breathing on my neck. “I mean have we ever anyway?” I continued to Blair trying to take little notice to Mason who was hovering above me thanks to the step he was standing on. I felt the way Mason was looking at me heat going through my body from how hungry he seemed his eyes burning me as they moved down the back of my body to my ass before I felt his smile as he backed away.

“So has anything else happened with Mason?” Blair brought me back into the room making me stutter as I tried to make my brain concentrate on making a sentence or at least an answer that made sense. “The way he was just looking at you was pure filth.” He laughed.

“The sexual frustration is so evident.” Tony joined in as he walked by after picking up his ball not stopping to elaborate. He wasn’t suppose to know anything was going on so either it was that obvious or someone had told him but even though me and Blair wasn’t that close and I knew how over the top Levi is I doubt they would of told him if me and Mason didn’t yet.

I found Mason adjusting his joggers meaning I could take an extra look at him without him knowing. If he was ready to come out to people I would be with him in a heartbeat. The only thing that would scare me would be ever loosing him if we broke up but with the way we are both finding it so hard to stay away from each other I feel like even if we continue trying to ignore this between us it wouldn’t last long and could break us eventually anyway if we keep denying it. I didn’t blame him though for staying secretive, would never no matter how badly I wanted him. I tried to think about how hard it must be knowing that one of my parents would hate me for my sexuality and even though I wasn’t sure yet how my Mom would feel it didn’t matter so much what she thought. It must be heart breaking for him...

Laughing made him look up as well as me look away to see Blair now on the floor after Levi’s trip worked on him. Everything would work itself out I was sure but right now I could do with a little attention from him after he seemed to be ignoring me a little or most likely he was just splitting his attention between me and everyone else. I quickly took my shot glad when I got a strike again just wanting my turn to be over so I could go back to watching Mason...

He headed over for his ball it being his go again, I continued watching him his jaw tightening as he lifted his ball holding it in both hands his concentration to it’s max now. Blair and Levi continued a pushing match laughing because apparently he’d put him off and it was his reason he wasn’t winning, Tony was actually winning...

Mason’s bowl was perfect, the way he leant into his throw one leg bending the other curved behind him on form meant the ball stayed straight colliding with the front pin sending them into all the others resulting in a strike. As soon as he saw what he did he jumped up cheering I think it being his first ever. He span around his face slightly falling seeing Blair and Levi still messing about paying no notice, at least Tony was clapping for him. He came running over my way literally throwing himself into my arms which I caught clapping him on the back happy for him. It may seem trivial but he was excited so I was too. He slipped out of my hold his body scraping with mine suddenly again my innocent thoughts gone his eyes meeting mine our faces inches apart.

“Kiss Kiss Kiss!” Levi suddenly began chanting making Mason shove me away my face falling feeling a little rejected. He couldn’t even be open around our friends who mostly knew so would he ever tell everyone else? It was soon my turn so I went off to get my ball and finish up the game it being my last go. I flunked both the first going into the gutter and the second only hitting two pins. Irritated I wondered to take a seat and watch everyone finish up.

Mason took a seat beside me throwing his arm around my shoulder Levi being too preoccupied to care what we were doing. “Do I bother you?” He asked his hand tracing down my arm getting to my elbow before moving inwards over my lower back. I couldn’t help but smile because this is exactly what I wanted, just some affection.

“You know you do. Don’t act like you don’t care.” I whispered my face dead ahead watching the guys playing there last goes pretending whatever me and Mason was saying to each other was innocent and unimportant.

“Oh I care.” He mumbled then as he stood his mouth was on the side of my face planting a very rushed quick peck trying to hide it by walking away after. He may not be ready but I’d wait, I’d wait as long as he needed and even though I never wanted any sort of hidden relationship with him I have to admit it’s a little exciting. I’d prefer being open and being able to be all possessive and over the top with him but I’d take what I can get.

The game ended with Tony winning, then me then Blair and then Mason, Levi loosing probably because he was too busy trying to make everyone else loose instead of concentrating. We headed across towards the outdated arcades, the lights flashing there beckoning us all over to play Mason ahead of me talking to Blair then Levi just behind them as me and Tony hung back. “I didn’t know that you and Mason were into guys. I always thought it was a joke.” He spoke up making me frown at him starting to believe someone must of told him something.

“I’m not gay.” I made sure he knew because for some reason that was still something I was struggling with.

“Oh! So you and Mason are joking or...” He trailed off looking to Mason who was being jumped on by Levi now. I couldn’t answer the question as it slipped to the back of my mind seeing Levi’s hands wrapped around Mason on his chest then his shoulders when he dropped off. I’d love to just tell him to stop touching him so much but that would look suspicious. Tony laughed making me snap out of it remembering we had been talking.

“I don’t know what to say.” I laughed knowing I wasn’t particularly not telling him because of myself but actually for Mason. He may of chosen to tell Blair but he didn’t Levi and I wanted him to tell whoever he wanted from now on. Luckily Tony couldn’t have a chance to answer before the sound of Mason yelling out and Blair and Levi laughing stopped our talk us both looking up to see what we just missed.

Levi was holding a basketball from one of the arcade games and Mason was holding the top of his head complaining at him. “Levi!” He literally jumped out of his skin at the strength of my voice across the room even Mason looked up to me quickly. I couldn’t help but laugh any seriousness gone when I saw Mason smiling knowing he’d just gotten him in trouble with me.

I opened my arms Mason falling into them as I cradled his head rubbing it. “What did he do to you?” I cooed jokingly as I shot fake daggers to Levi who only now noticed I was joking tossing the ball back where it came from.

“He bounced it from my head.” He answered his arms instinctively wrapping around my waist to hold me back.

“Awww my baby.” I kissed his head my cheeks burning when I heard what I sounded like the guys looking our way laughing and mimicking me. I flipped them off loosening my hold on him which he took as a hint to let go dashing over to Levi he tackled him to the floor tripping and landing on the ground too. “Break it up.” I chuckled out as they tumbled around play fighting people around us looking making me embarrassed.

“I just realized your always going to side with Mason now!” Levi pouted as I held my hand out to help Mason up.

“You just threw a ball at him!” I shocked out as he continued to stare up at me from his space on the floor.

“It was his fault! He told me to suck your dick!” He voiced a little too loudly for my liking strangers that weren’t staring were now the other guys too who had previously been trying to win something from a nearby game. I shoved Mason feeling like he was to blame for this.

“Only because you told me to first!” He snapped back making me roll my eyes at how children this sounded especially when Levi called him a snitch as his come back.

“Grow up. I can’t believe your eighteen Mase really.” I shook my head turning and heading to the guys avoiding all the eyes watching us.

“Can’t believe your eighteen.” He copied my voice childishly as he followed behind me abandoning Levi who still hadn’t moved even though the floor looked sticky with god knows what.
