A.U - Izuku and Katsuki have a little girl named Katsumi. The two are married, and Izuku receives some sad news over a phone call. You could say this is a little snip-it of "Not A Coincidence" if you haven't read it. This is Katsuki's and Izuku's duaghter that share their DNA.

The snow outside danced with the winds current as the sky was a gloomy gray, but the sun shines the brightest so far. The sound of playfully yelling and giggling echoed through the air as the snow swirls around the specs of sound waves flowing through the sky.

Izuku, dressed in gray sweatpants and a light blue shirt, trudged out of the back door, onto the porch wearing sea blue slippers. The porch was a dark wooden color, and they had a love-seat swing to the left. He had just gotten off the phone, possibly at the worst time.

Why is it the worst time?

Valentine's Day has just passed, there was still the feeling of holiday settling within the winds voice, and most importantly, Izuku's and Katsuki's wedding anniversary had been coming to close for comfort. But like every other day, he had to smile. If not for the people or his family, what else?

Light flurries of snow fall outside as Izuku stepped onto the porch. Katsuki also wrapped up in gray sweatpants, black boots, and a heavy black jacket with a fur collar, ran around chasing the little girl that ran around in circles, kicking the snow. The little girl screamed and giggled as her little legs carried her though the thick treacherous snow. Katsuki kept chanting, "I'm going to win," while chasing the little girl.

This brought bliss to Izuku's soul. Izuku smiled, sadly almost, pulling a blanket around his body to shield it from the icy wind. He watched for a few minutes, just enjoying the little show of Katsuki and his daughter running in circles around the snowman the two had made.

He loved watching his family have fun and share happiness, even in the coldest of moments. "C'mon inside guys! It's cold!" Izuku hollers, and Katsuki took two steps before picking up his daughter and throwing her over his shoulder. Katsumi giggled and squirmed as Katsuki ticked her a bit and held her tightly with one hand, making sure she didn't fall off his shoulder.

Izuku had set lunch down on the table, having already eaten before he felt like throwing up from nerves.

Izuku watched as Katsuki help Katsumi take her jacket, boots, and gloves off first before his own. He picked up Katsumi as she was trying to run away with a hero action figure. Someone had to inherit the obsession.

Katsuki set her down in a chair and pushed the plate closer to her as he grabbed forks for himself. Izuku walked over to the couch in the other room and Katsuki glanced over to see Izuku disappear. Katsuki watched Izuku with a keen eye before he kissed his daughter's head and walked over to the couch.

Izuku has his head buried within his palms as he felt the weight of the couch sink. He looked up and saw Katsuki had brought his food out, and setting it on the coffee table. "What's wrong?" Katsuki asked before taking a sip of his cup, and setting it down next to the plate.

"Did you eat?" questioned Izuku, completely avoiding Katsuki's question. Katsuki started at Izuku, knowing he was avoiding his question. That didn't help the creeping urge of concern crawling up his skin.

"I'm eating now, with you. What's wrong?" Katsuki asked again, more bluntly. Izuku took a deep breath, only for it to come out staggered and shaky. Katsuki knew something was wrong, and he was about to scoot closer to Izuku and rub his back but little Katsumi came barreling into the room with food smeared on her cheek, and a hero action figure in her hand.

Izuku smiled happily, but there was a softened constrained look on his face. "Hey sweetie," Izuku kisses her forehead.

"Katsumi," Katsuki started as she looked over at him, "how about you go play in your room. I have to talk to Daddy,"

"Aww! I wanted to play more," she said with disappointment.

"I know, we can play in a little bit, I promise," he says. She nods her head sadly, and Katsuki takes a tissue on the coffee table and wipes off her food and she giggles. He slightly pushes her back as she runs towards her room, pretending the action figure is flying in the sky. Katsuki looks over at Izuku and finally sees the tears that glisten in his eyes, seconds away from falling. "Izuku—"

"She's in the hospital..." Izuku says with a voice crack. This... this Katsuki knew about. Midoriya Inko. Izuku's mother. She has been sick, and it seems like things took a turn for the worse.

"Inko?" Katsuki questioned rubbing Izuku's back as the two leaned into each other.

"They— they said t-treating her wasn't w-worth it anymore! Apparently the treatment isn't w-working and..." Katsuki hugged him close and Izuku cried into his shoulder. They sat there, in which Izuku shakes and sobbed quietly.

"What can I do?" Katsuki sweetly asked into Izuku's ears. Izuku kisses him in the cheek and hugged him.

"I mean... there isn't really anything anyone can do. I would like to go see her though, before... ya' know," Izuku says grimly. Katsuki nodded his head and pinched Izuku's cheek slightly, getting him to smile. He stood up before looking back at Izuku.

"Are you bringing, trouble maker?" Katsuki says, referring to his daughter. Izuku smiled and nodded yes. Katsuki smiled sadly and walked upstairs before getting her. Izuku loves his family. They would always be there for him, and he couldn't ask for anything more or less. This was perfect.

He knew his mother didn't have much time, but her wise words made their way into his head.

Everyone was dressed and Katsuki offered to drive, knowing Izuku would probably not want to, or he'd be too stressed to focus. The ride was quiet and somber, even Katsumi felt sad. She didn't exactly know what was happening, but she knew something wasn't right. "Daddy... are you okay?" Katsumi asked Izuku. Wiz you turned back and rubbed her knee a little bit.

"Yeah sweetie, Daddy's fine," Izuku answer as he turned back to watch the road. Katsuki's chest hurt. He knew Izuku was keeping up a front to protect their daughter. He knew he didn't want her to worry about them. They arrived at the hospital, and Katsumi was confused.

"Am I getting a checkup?" She innocently asked.

"Ahh— no sweetie. We're visiting someone," Izuku says as he picks her up and places her on his hip.

"Oh..."

They walk inside and sign in. Katsuki rubs Izuku's shoulder as they walk to Inkos room. They stopped right before they were going to walk in. Izuku set his daughter down and crouched so they were eye level. "So umm, grandma is going to be hooked up to lots of wiggly wired and funny looking stuff, okay? It may look scary but it's there to help her," Izuku explains and Katsumi nods, squeezing Katsuki's hand.

They all walk inside and Katsumi smiles. "Hi grandma!"

Inko smiled brightly, looking as if it's the first time she's smiled in years. "Hey pumpkin! I didn't know you guys were visiting," she says, and Izuku smiled sadly. They stay in there for a bit, Izuku feeling slightly drowsy and sick.

Katsuki stood up with a tired Katsumi. "Hey, babe, I'm going to go out, we'll wait for you in the car," Izuku nods before receiving a kiss on the temple. Izuku scoots closet to his mother as the door shuts behind them.

"Baby... what's wrong?" Inkos asks, wiping the tears off his cheek.

"I just love you... a lot," Izuku says, holding her hand.

"I'm not dead yet, honey."

"Yeah... yet," Izuku whispers and Inko squeezes harder.

"I'm alright, okay? I'm not going anywhere," she says and the two smile. "You're glowing," she says and Izuku's eyes spring open. He looked scared and Inko started laughing, coughing a bit after. "Don't worry, I don't mean that I 'see the light' yet,"

Izuku sighed and chuckled a bit. "How am I glowing? The sun is beaming on me though the curtains," Izuku says laughing. Inko laughed too, the two feeling some of the lighthearted energy come back.

"Son, you're glowing."

"I'm still confused, mom..."

Inko smiled sweetly, "remember that procedure you took so you and Katsuki could have kids? The shits and the small surgery? You can still have kids years after that," she says. Izuku thought for a moment before his eyes went wide.

"M-mom! I-I don't think I'm— how do you even—"

"I just know. I can tell, something's different about how you present yourself. You more gentle and protective. You're glowing. Have you been feeling sick lately?"

"Yes, but— I had a cold a few weeks ago, I mean, not anymore I don't think. I would never come her with a cold, knowing how sick you are... I wouldn't want to be the reason you—"

"Sweetie, I'm not dead. Stop acting like I am. I'm fine. The call you got... I'm sorry for that. But they might be able to ship me to another hospital that can help me better. They say I can make it through this, and I believe I can. So can you believe with me?" Izuku nodded. "Good, now, have you been eating more?"

"Actually, I've been eating less. My body feels sensitive, and the only thing I feel like I can stomach down sometimes is rice..." Izuku puts his hand over his mouth. Inko laughs and Izuku gets startled slightly.

"Oh honey... Acting like I haven't been around longer than you. You're probably pregnant. It's written all over your body. When was the last time you and Katsuki—"

"MOM!" Izuku shouted and Inko laughed harder, and coughed a bit, but she was still happy. "A week ago..."

"And before that?"

"Four weeks ago... oh. Oh..." Izuku covered his face with his hands. "Oh my god... I'm an actual dumb-ass. I can't believe I—" the two started laughing again.

"I'll be okay, and if I'm not around to see that new child of yours... then make sure he knows about me,"

"Oh god..." Izuku says and Inko shows a look of concern. "Mom, Katsuki and I are planning on adopting a girl. She's a little older than Katsumi and we've named her Izumi... how the hell am I supposed to have another kid when we're about to adopted!? I can't not adopted this little girl. She's adorable and a lot like Katsuki and I. She had beautiful black hair and she's just the sweetest thing. How am I supposed to have three kids?"

"You'll find a way. And whatever decisions you make I'll support you. I'm your mother after all," Izuku started crying and Inko drew him closer. "Sweetie..."

     "Will Katsuki be mad?"

"Do you think he would be?" There was a moment of silence before she heard a small no, ad she hugged her son. "Then you have nothing to worry about. And if he does I'll still beat his ass, so will Mitsuki," Izuku laughed and Inko kissed her son. "Go, be with your family. I'll be alright, and I'll call you whenever I get new information," Izuku nodded before saying a long goodbye to his mom. He walked outside and found the car. Katsumi was asleep and Katsuki was patiently waiting for him. That's a first.

"You okay?" Katsuki asked and Izuku smiled.

     "Yeah... I will be,"
