Lloyd: "STOP IT!"
Lloyd stood up from the position he was in, and now all eyes were on him. He gave Garmadon a deadly glare, as Nya stood up next to him.
Garmadon: "WHAT?! How did you get in here?!"
Kai's screams stopped for a second. Lloyd looked over to see him on his hands and knees panting, trying to catch his breath back.
Kai: " *pant* L-Lloyd..."
Nya: "Kai!"
Lloyd: "Hold on Kai! We're gonna get you out of there!"
Now the rest of the guards were stood up, and in a fighting position facing the two intruders.
Garmadon: "Ugh! Never mind, it doesn't matter how you got in. But you're not getting out! Guards! Capture them!"
As Garmadon said that, all of the guards ran up to them and they got ready to fight.
Lloyd grabbed the first one to run at them by his shirt, and threw him into another guard knocking them both on the floor.
Nya tripped one of the guards up and he landed face first on the floor. And as another one was running her way, she ducked down so that he jumped over her and also fell on the floor.
As Lloyd was about to punch another one in the face, he heard the deafening screams coming from Kai again. He looked over to see that there was red fire particles coming off Kai and being sucked away.
Lloyd & Nya: "KAI!"
Unfortunately while he was distracted, one of the guards got a hit on his face and he fell to the floor with a painful grunt.
Nya saw this and ran over to help, but as she started to run towards him one of the guards she had knocked down earlier grabber her ankle, and she fell to the floor tоо.
She looked down at her foot and kicked the guard's hand off her and she stood up again.
Once she made it over to Lloyd, she grabbed his arm and pulled him up onto his feet. As they both looked up, they saw that all of the guards were back up on their feet too and surrounding them.
Nya knew that these guys were gonna be tough to beat, and they needed to get to Kai as fast as they could.
Nya: "Lloyd, go and help Kai. I can handle these morons."
He looked at her surprised.
Lloyd: "What?"
Nya: "You heard me! Go!"
He didn't have time to say no, as he knew what was more important. He nodded at her, and jumped over some of the guards so he was face to face with his dad.
Garmadon: "Ugh, you ninja are so pesky and annoying."
Lloyd: "Let him go dad."
Garmadon: "Ha! You really think I'm going to let him go now? When I'm this close to winning? You must be joking! And you've basically already lost, so why don't you give up?"
Garmadon smiled at him and raised an eyebrow. But he only got a glare in return.
Lloyd: "I'm not going to give up. Not until Kai is safe. Because ninja. Never. Quit!"
As Lloyd finished that sentence, he ran at Garmadon with full force and his fist ready to hit him, but he was too slow as Garmadon kicked him in the stomach just before he would've gotten punched.
Lloyd fell to the floor with a grunt as he looked up at Garmadon.
Garmadon: "Ha! This is almost too easy."
Garmadon walked over to Lloyd and got ready to kick him,
Lloyd: "Ninja Go!"
A bright green light emitted from Lloyd, as he performed spinjitzu. (Is that how you spell it?)
He launched himself at Garmadon, who wasn't expecting this, and managed to get a few punches and kicks on him. As he came out of the tornado he elbowed Garmadon in the middle of his back and he fell to the floor.
Garmadon: "Ack-"
Another loud scream came from Kai as Lloyd's head snapped towards him.
Lloyd: 'I need to get to the lever and turn the machine off!'
So Lloyd ran towards the direction of the lever as fast as he could, but he felt a painful punch in his right side.
He yelped as he fell to his knees, and looked up at Garmadon.
Garmadon: "You really think you can beat me? Guess again."
Lloyd didn't have enough time to react as he was punched in the face and he backed away from Garmadon, who moved closer to him.
Garmadon delivered another kick to Lloyd's chest, as he prepared to give the final blow.
Garmadon: "You see? You've lost Lloyd! There's no hope-"
But before Garmadon could finish that sentence, he heard some hissing from behind him.
He quickly turned around to see his machine powering down, and a black haired girl stood there holding the lever, which was now turned off.
Garmadon: "WHAT?! NO! Stupid water ninja! I was so close!"
He realised that there wasn't really anything left for him to do here, so he decided he should probably get out of there.
Garmadon: "Rgh... This isn't over ninja! I'll be back! Just you wait..."
But before anyone could do anything, he suddenly vanished into thin air.
Nya ran to Lloyd to make sure that he was okay, because she could see some blood slowly dripping down his face.
Lloyd: "N-no... help Kai first."
Nya looked at him with concern, before she nodded at him and ran towards the glass tube. She pulled open the door and quickly ran up to her brother.
Kai: "H-hey sis..."
Nya: "Shh... save your strength..."
She grabbed one of his arms and put it around her neck so she could gently pull him out of the tube up against a wall, making sure he was comfortable. She looked as him with worry but he gave her a reassuring smile, which she couldn't help but return.
Then she walked over to Lloyd and helped him sit up against the wall too. They were both beat up and looked exhausted. She then tuned into her thoughts on what she could do next.
Nya: 'I can't carry both of them back like this... I'm going to have to wait a few hours until they have more of their strength back. How did Kai even end up here in the first place?...'
She then looked down at the two boys.
Nya: "Hey Kai-"
But once she saw them, she couldn't help but smile. Kai was asleep with his head on Lloyd's shoulder, while Lloyd had his head on Kai's head. And even though they looked like they were both in a bit of pain, she could see a small smile forming on both of their lips.
Nya: 'Aw... I can't believe I wanted to stop these two from getting together.'
As she looked at the boys again, she decided that she would clean them up a bit while they were unconscious so they would be ready to leave once they woke up.

Lloyd opened his eyes slightly, wincing from the light in the room. He yawned as he opened his eyes fully and looked at the pillow he was asleep on. That is until he saw some fluffy, chocolate brown hair on his shoulder.
Lloyd: 'Wha- was Kai asleep on me this whole time? Aw he's adorable-'
He was snapped out his thoughts by a small laugh coming from in front of him. He looked up with a faint red dusting his face.
Nya: "Jeez if you like him so much why not get together already?"
Lloyd: "U-uh..."
Nya: "Haha! Relax bro-bro! Here, eat this."
She passed him a bowl of soup.
Lloyd: "Soup? How did you manage to find a bowl of soup down here?"
Nya shrugged her shoulders as she answered,
Nya: "Raided the kitchen."
Lloyd nodded as he looked down at the noodle soup he was holding, and he smiled.
Lloyd: "Thanks."
Nya nodded as he ate the food.

Once he had finished the food, he passed the bowl back to Nya who put it next to her empty one.
Lloyd: "So how long were we asleep for?"
Nya: "Um... about 4 hours?"
Lloyd: "4?! Why do I always sleep for so long..."
Nya: "Hah, gave me enough time to fix you guys up a bit though."
Lloyd gave her a questioning look as he looked down at himself. And sure enough there were a few bandages on his body.
Lloyd: "Wow thanks Nya... how did I not see these?"
Nya: "You really need to stop saying thanks all the time."
Lloyd: "No I mean it! You saved us earlier as well when I almost gave us away, and when I couldn't reach the lever, and-"
Nya smiled at him.
Nya: "Look it's fine okay? Just don't go getting in danger again any time soon alright?"
She gave him a light punch on the shoulder as he smiled up at her and nodded.
Unfortunately the movement caused Kai to wake up. He groaned as he opened his eye, and it was then that Lloyd realised Nya had put a temporary gauze around Kai's black eye.
Kai: "Ugh... I feel like Cole used me for a training dummy again..."
Lloyd and Nya both ran towards Kai and engulfed him in a huge hug.
Kai: "Oof- Hey guys. Miss me?"
Lloyd: "Heh, nice to have you back flame brian."
Nya: "Dont ever scare me like that again you idiot!"
Nya slapped him on the head lightly.
Kai: "Jeez I didn't do it on purpose."
Nya: "Whatever... here, eat this."
Nya handed Kai his bowl of noodle soup and he looked down at it with wide eyes.
Kai: "Wow! Thanks sis!"
Within 5 minutes, the bowl was already empty.
Lloyd: "Hungry much?"
Kai: "I would eat another bowl if I could."
Nya: "Well you can have another one when we get back, right now we might as well spend the night here."
Kai looked at her with an eyebrow raised.
Kai: "It's night already?"
Nya: "Yup. I went up to check a while ago."
Lloyd: "Alright guys, I'm gonna get some sleep then."
Nya: "Me too, we will leave first thing in the morning okay?"
Kai: "Mhm... whatever you say. Just as long as I get to sleep."
Nya: "Typical... Night guys."
Lloyd: "Goodnight."
Kai: "Night."

Also there was some foreshadowing in this chapter... it's a very small detail but it says quite a bit about what's going to happen next.
