{McKenzie's P.O.V.}
Walking around the park doing nothing. Heart broken. Memories to fill my head. Painful memories..
(Flashback)
~Outside, Thunderstorm~
McKenzie- *running down the street*
*cars honking, thunder rolling*
McKenzie- *walks up to pay phone, inserts coins, dials* Come on. Come on! Pick up!
???- *walks behind her*
Christy- Hey!
McKenzie- Christy! Yes thank god you answered-!
Christy- Sorry I can't answer the phone right now, but leave your name, and say something after the beep, Bye!! *hangs up*
*beep*
McKenzie- *moans, hangs up, searches her purse*
???- Hey.
McKenzie- *jumps up*
???- Sorry, didn't mean to scare you.
McKenzie- It's alright.
???- What are you doing out here, its pouring!
McKenzie- I-I.. needed to make a call, but I wasted all my
change on this thing! *kicks pay phone*
Kendall- Hey, chill out. Come on, lets go inside the gas station roof, you"re going to get sick.
*both walk towards the gas pumps*
McKenzie- *shivering*
Kendall- *walks over to his car, opens the trunk, takes out towel, gives it to McKenzie* Here.
McKenzie- *Stares at it*
Kendall- *chuckles* Don't worry, its clean. I was heading towards the gym until the storm got worse. *looks out*
McKenzie- *laughs* Thanks. *wraps it around her*
Kendall- No problem. *leans against the back of the car* So why we're you trying to make a phone call from a pay phone? Don't you have a cell?
McKenzie- I do, but it died on me.
Kendall- Do you want to use my cell phone? *takes it out*
McKenzie- Oh no. My sister won't answer the phone. I'm pretty sure she's with her husband or something.
Kendall- She's older than you?
McKenzie- Not by much.
Kendall- How old are you?
McKenzie- About to turn 21. You?
Kendall- I just turned 22.
McKenzie- Nice.
*both stare into each others eyes, then awkwardly look away, rain clears*
Kendall- Hey, looks like the storm stopped.
McKenzie- Yay! I can walk home now. *hands over towel* Thank you! *walks away*
Kendall- Hey!
McKenzie- *turns around*
Kendall- I never got your name!
McKenzie- Its McKenzie! *waves, runs away*
Kendall- McKenzie.... *smiles*
~Neighborhood~
McKenzie- *walking on the sidewalk* Just a couple more miles McKenzie.. *sighs*
*starts to drizzle*
McKenzie- *looks up at the cloudy sky* REALLY?!
*Silver Corvette goes to a stop in the side of the street*
McKenzie- *turns around*
Kendall- *rolls the window down* Need a ride?
McKenzie- Uh... Sure.....
Kendall- Kendall.
McKenzie- *giggles* Sure Kendall. *walks over to the door*
Kendall- *runs out of the car, opens the door for her* Ladies first.
McKenzie- *smiles at him, sits down in passanger seat*
Kendall- *closes the door, goes in drivers seat* Okay, now. Where do you live?
McKenzie- Burbank.
Kendall- *eyes widen* You live there?
McKenzie- What's wrong with that?
Kendall- That is a 15 minute drive from here. You wanted to walk that? While it could rain?
McKenzie- Maybe I could make it in time.
Kendall- You know I just came back from the gym..
McKenzie- *looks at his sleeve-less shirt, sees his muscles* Oh..
Kendall- And that you walked in a circle..
McKenzie- What?!
Kendall- *points through the trees*
McKenzie- *sees gas station*
Kendall- Face palm! *laughs*
McKenzie- This is so embarassing.
{McKenzie's P.O.V.}
And that was how we met. We hanged out after that. He was the kindest person in the entire world. We fell in love.
I walked up my sister's front door steps, and pressed on the door bell. I heard feet running towards the door.
My 7-year-old twin nephews Ricardo and Mason opened the door "Hey aunt McKenzie!" they smiled.
"Hey kiddos!" I hugged them.
Carlos, my brother-in-law, walked up with his 2-year-old baby girl to the door. "Hey McKenzie." he greeted. "Come on in, you"re just in time, Christy is in the kitchen, making dinner."
I walked in. "Yay, hopefully this food will be edible now." Ricardo and Mason ran to the living room and kept playing with their action figures.
"Hey!", Carlos said "The oven burned the cake, not me!"
"Um hm..." I said. I held my arms out to the baby girl "Come here Melanie, Come here." Melanie immediately gave me her arms, and I carried her.
"Daaaaaddddd!" Mason shouted. "Come play with us!!!"
Carlos ran over to the living room. "I CALL THE IRON MAN DOLL!"
I laughed.
"Pweetyyy." She touched my blonde hair.
"Thank you." I kissed her cheek. Her arms wrapped around my neck as we walked in the kitchen to find Christy.
"Hey! You finally showed up!" She smiled.
"Yep," I nodded, and set Melanie in the high-chair. "What are you cooking?"
"Some spaghetti, for the kids, and Chicken for us." She stirred the pasta.
Awkward moments passed by.
"How is life?" I asked.
"Pretty good. Ricardo got an A+ on his Math test, and Mason won a bike at the school raffle. and Melanie just... Is Melanie." She smiled and turned to look at her daughter.
Melanie giggled and waved her hands in the air singing a song.
"How about yours?" Christy asked.
I sighed. "Terrible." She turned to me. "Kendall." I said.
"I thought you were over him.."
"I was but.." I stopped in mid sentence.. She sensed something wrong.
"But what?"
I shut my eyes. Trying to block the memory, but I was too late...
(FLASHBACK)
Kendall- *hands over her eyes* You ready?
McKenzie- I don't even know where we are at.
Kendall- Hold on. *stops her* Wait here. *puts bandana on her* Can you see anything?
McKenzie- No.
Kendall- Okay. *walks over to candles, lights them up, walks back over*
McKenzie- Done yet?
Kendall- Yep. *takes bandana off*
McKenzie- *opens her eyes*
*On the beach at night, candles on the sand, picnic set up along the shore. Full moon.*
Kendall- What do you think?
McKenzie- *turns to him* Its beautiful.
Kendall- *smiles, walks towards her wrapping his arms around her waist* A Birthday present* Not that far from home..
*both turn to the hill, where Kendall' beach house is*
McKenzie- *smiles, kisses his lips* Thank you.
Kendall- *kisses her* You're welcome. Now.. Lets eat!
McKenzie- *giggles, sits down*
Kendall- *hands over the food, and wine* A toast.
McKenzie- *holds up glass*
Kendall- To us... and your birthday.
McKenzie- *laughs* Officially a legal cougar. *winks*
Kendall- *smiles*
*both sip on it*
Kendall- Want to watch the stars?
McKenzie- Sure.
*both lie down*
Kendall- It's a nice full moon.
McKenzie- Clear sky.
Kendall- *rolls to his side, caresses McKenzie's cheek* 4 years since we met..
McKenzie- *turns to him* That thunderstorm...
Kendall- *kisses her forehead* I loved you as soon as I saw you by that payphone..
McKenzie- And I loved you since you told me your gym towel was clean.
Kendall- *laughs*
McKenzie- Just kidding, I loved you when you first scared me saying "Hey!".
*both laugh*
Kendall- *puts himself over her, kisses her*
McKenzie- *kisses back* I love you.
Kendall- And I love you..
*both stare into each others eyes*
Kendall- McKenzie?
McKenzie- *pulls him in for a longer kiss*
Kendall- *slowly pulls her up with him, carries her bridal style with out breaking the kiss and walk into the house*
(END OF FLASHBACK)
"McKenzie", Christy sighed. "He left.. for good. Out of nowhere he left. Picked his stuff, moved out of his house, no calls, no text, no nothing."
Tears fell down my cheek. "But.. he can't leave.."
Christy got worried, and I had to tell her. I ran a hand over my stomach, and caressed it.
"Kendall is the father of my child.."
"What?!" My sister nearly screamed. "McKenzie.." She sighed, soon I broke down into tears.
"I need him Christy. I really need him." I sobbed into her shoulder.
"Is that why he left?" She asked. I shook my head.
"He doesn't know." I said, we both stayed silent for a couple of moments.
"Look... just.. Stay here. for the night. We can talk about this tomorrow."
I nodded and headed towards the guest room.

A couple months later
After considering it, I decided to move in with Christy and Carlos, I couldn't be able to take care of the baby by myself, i didn't have enough money to get my own place, but I would have to find a way how. Carlos insisted that I should just focus on the baby and not worry about the money. But I wanted to pay them for letting me stay, it wasn't fair.
I woke up and greeted the kids. My bump was about 3 times larger now.
"Feeling better?" She asked.
"Sort of." All the gaging and throwing up really brought down my energy level.
"Well good. Now this little fighter needs some food." She patted my bump and placed a plate with eggs and bacon in front of me. She figured what the baby liked, and the baby was really picky. But to me, It smelled good.
I quickly began eating, one plate, after the other and the other. At the end of my third plate, I bit my lip. "Too much."
"Don't worry, that's how Christy was when she was pregnant all three times." Carlos comforted me.
"How long will this take?" I asked.
"You'll need to ask your doctor, it varies a lot. Oh and be careful with the mood swings." Carlos winced as he remembered something.
"All I did was crush your precious Black Ops game..." Christy reminded him.
"You didn't have to do that.." Carlos pretended to have his eyes water. Christy rolled her eyes.
"Well, I'm going to go around town," I added.
"I'll come with you." Christy quickly lifted her plate and placed it in the sink.
"No, no. It's fine. I was just going for a walk to get my mind off things." I lied, I needed a job.
"Okay, well. Just keep your phone close." She added, carefully glancing at me to make sure I was alright.
"Sure will. Bye guys." I kissed my nephews and niece's foreheads and left.

No jobs available for pregnant women. I sighed. How many interviews today? About seven, no one wanted to give me a job. I was walking down the strip mall, when Christy texted me.
How's everything going? just checking on you.
I'm fine
I replied, I was just about to ask if she needed anything when I bumped into a person.
"Oh I am so sorry!" He caught me by my arms. I looked up into his green eyes. "McKenzie?"
"Kendall," I breathed, I never expected to see him again. His smile quickly faded after he remembered why I haven't seen him in months.
"I-I..." He blinked and looked up and down at me. He noticed my bump.
"It's not what you think-" I said before he looked me dead in the eye.
"Whose is it?"
I didn't answer.
"Whose is it?!" He said louder.
"None of your business!" I answered.
"It's mine. isn't it?" He grinned.
"No." I answered and walked away. I wasn't going to put up with this.
"McKenzie!" He catched up, blocking me.
"Get away from me Kendall!" I shoved him. He quickly grabbed my wrists and pinned me against the wall.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"Because you left! How the hell was I supposed to contact you? You basically dissapeared off the face of the earth!" I screamed, he looked down. Obviously feeling guilt.
"I left because.. I knew I wasn't good enough for you. I wasn't going to make your life better, someone else deserved to make you happy a million times more than I ever could."
I pressed my hand on his cheek, as he looked at me with tears in his eyes.
"My life was with you, you made me happy. More than you could ever imagine." I said.
"That day... On our 4 year anniversary.." He pulled out a small box. " I regret that changed my mind, or, thought you were better off." He kneeled down.
"Kendall." My heart beat faster.
"I want to spend the rest of my life with you, and our child." He smiled and caressed my bump. I put my hand over his. "McKenzie, will you marry me?"
"Yes!" I nodded, as he picked my up and kissed me. "Sorry, baby." He said as he put me down. "Daddy's just excited." He kissed my bump.

We arrived at Christy's house. Both were really surprised to see Kendall, Carlos jumped in his arms and Christy... Well... We had to explain what really happened. But in the end she put the frying pan down and didn't hit him after all. I moved in with Kendall that same week.
"Wait... How did you have the ring if you didn't know I was there?" I asked him, one day we were painting the baby's room.
"Lucky guess." He smiled. I sighed.
"Carlos." I said. He nodded.
4 months later I was rushed to the hospital where our baby boy was born. His beautiful blond hair and same green eyes as his father. He got my smile and my nose. Little Dylan Schmidt. He was our little ring bearer. Of course carried by his aunt Christy down the aisle. After our "I do"s.. We both lived happily ever after.
