"Oh my god-"
"No, please no-"

"THAT'S SO CUTE!" Rosie squealed, Lalisa sighed in relief it wasn't one of the guards. She gripped Jennie's hand tightly and hid behind her. Rosie kept fangirling and never realised that Lisa and Jennie left already.

*******

"Where are we going, Jennie?" Lalisa pouted, trailing after Jennie. Jennie looked back at her and smiled sweetly.
"Surprise.", this made Lisa grow more impatient. It was the darkest hour of the day and since Lisa was still traumatised, Jennie wanted her to forget all of that. Even if Lisa didn't remember her. Jennie frowned at the thought unknowingly but smiled for Lisa. She wouldn't let anyone touch her. Even if it wasn't by force, she'd die for her. Jennie just kept smiling wider and wider but snapped out of her thoughts when she-

"JENNIE!" Lisa laughed, Jennie walked into a wall and fell, making Lisa laugh. Jennie facepalmed herself and got up, squeezing Lisa's hand tighter, she whimpered at the action while a pleased smirk snaked its way onto Jennie's face.
"Respect your elders, Manoban."
"You're only older than me by a year!" Lisa shouted, Jennie just whistled, pretending not to hear her.

"Yah! Don't ignore me!", Lisa said, hitting Jennie's arm playfully. Jennie opened a door, symmetrical to the front gates of hell and lead Lisa inside. It was dark, lit up by faint lights which left Lisa in awe. Lisa grabbed Jennie's hand and pulled her towards the edge of a cliff, overlooking earth, now beautiful and greener than ever. This suddenly made Lalisa snap into reality.

"Jennie, I'm supposed to be a queen. What am I doing here?..." she asked, turning her head toward Jennie who was already staring at her. Jennie shrugged her shoulders and continued to look at the earth and the constant movement.
"Do you want to leave?" Jennie asked, startling Lisa.
"I mean-"
"I can visit you anytime, don't worry.".
"O-Okay then?...".

*************

The dark and peaceful silence of the night slowly drifted away and shone upon heaven. Lisa moved in her bed at the sun in her face. She wasn't at all used to this. She sat up and scratched her head, slouching her back. She muttered and muttered until someone knocked on her doors.
"Come in!" she shouted, the heavy doors shone wide open, revealing Jisoo, smiling. Jisoo jumped her way to Lisa's bed and sat down in front of her, legs crossed and an eager look on her face.
"What is it?"
"There's going to be a ball this night!". Lisa groaned and fell back, hitting her head on the soft pillow behind her.
"Why?"
"They're voting for a new ruler!"
"For what kingdom?", Lisa sat up and stared impatiently at Jisoo,
"The...", Jisoo rubbed her chin and her eyes grew wide when she had the answer,
"The 'Middle Lands'!".

At this point, Lisa could care less. It felt weird to her to be so far away from Jennie, anything could happen by now. Jisoo dragged her out of bed after a brief thought,
"KIM JISOO!" Lalisa shouted, making the older laugh. Jisoo let go of Lisa and dropped her down on the floor. She rummaged through Lisa's wardrobe and pulled out a long, puffy and golden dress.
"That's too-"
"Shut up and go wash up.", Jisoo pushed Lisa into the bathroom, laying the dress on the bed.

Lisa came out of the bathroom in a white, pristine robe and stared at the eager woman in front of her.
"You weren't lying..."
"Nope!"
"Isn't the thing at night?"
"Jennie wants to see you today.". Lisa's face turned more excited at the mention of Jennie, Jisoo facepalmed herself.

************

"OW!"
"STOP BEING A BABY!"
"IT HURTS OH MY GOD JISOO!".
Lisa pushed Jisoo's hand away from her back, panting in relief.
"Just let me do up the corset!"
"I'm not wearing that for a stupid party!"
"Fine!".

Jisoo removed the corset from Lisa's waist and again rummaged through the closet for something. She pulled out a sewing kit and a golden ribbon.
"Oh my god-"
"Shush.".
Jisoo walked over to Lisa, she pulled two loose bits from the back of her dress and sewed them together tightly.
"Is that better?"
"Not really-"
"Stop complaining Pranpriya.".

Lisa kept her mouth shut as soon as Jisoo called her that. Jisoo took the soft ribbon and pulled it around Lalisa's waist, tying a bow with it.
"Alright, now the shoes...", Jisoo took some conventional white heels and fitted them on Lisa's feet.
"Try and walk in them, without holding anything," Jisoo said, Lisa let go of the bed and started to walk in them, stumbling any chance she'd got.
"I said walk not trip!". Lisa rolled her eyes and kept her balance, Jisoo directed her to a chair and started to do her hair.
"Jisoo-"
"Yes, Queen?"

"We've spent nine hours on this-"
"I know.".
Lalisa internally facepalmed herself as Jisoo did her makeup.
"What about you?"
"Excuse me, I'm already done.".
Lalisa felt stupid and stood up from her chair, placing her crown on top of her head.
"Alright, TWO rules."

Lisa nodded her head and looked at Jisoo.
"One, DO NOT take out your wings, it'll ruin your dress."
"And two, DO NOT mess the dress up, it'll just make you look like a hobo."
"Okay-"
"ONE MORE. Three, buy me chicken at the ball.".
Lisa smiled at Jisoo cheekily and they both headed out the door and the castle.
"It's cold Jisoo!"
"Here's a jacket.", Jisoo pulled out a jacket and laid it on Lisa's shoulders. They walked in between the stairs of heaven and hell, looking everywhere for the stairs.

"Over there." Lisa pointed, they held onto each other as they headed down the stairs, almost falling. They arrived at the gates and stood in front of them.
"What time is it Lali?"
"Hold on,", Lisa pulled out her phone and checked the time, the bright light shone in her face, blinding her.
"It's eight, the ball started a few ago.". Jisoo nodded and they headed inside, the music flooded their ears and the dancing people blocking their view, especially Jisoo's.

A woman in a dark blue dress waved at Lalisa, catching her attention. Her brown hair flowed in the breeze that was flowing in the room, Lalisa walked over to the woman and smiled.
"Hey Jennie," she said, Jennie was smiling back. When Lisa looked to her side, Jisoo was nowhere to be seen, except on the dancefloor with her 'lover' Rosie. Lisa gagged sarcastically at them two and then converted her concentration back to Jennie.

"Follow me, Lalice.".
That name sounded so foreign but familiar to Lalisa at the same time but she couldn't put her finger on it yet. They headed outside and down to earth, somewhere in Thailand and by the cliff. Jennie held Lisa close and smiled at her, hope and faith that she'd somehow remembered.
"What do you think?"
"This is beautiful! I felt like I've seen it before but I don't know where though...". Jennie frowned, did she not remember. Both of the girls sat down by the peak and stared at the water below, crashing against the rocks.

The distant sound of the clock up above rang through their ears,
"We should go, Jennie.", she nodded and they made their way back up. When they'd arrived, eyes were on them. Completely.
"What are they staring at?" Lisa whispered to Jennie, still looking at the crowd. Jennie shook her head then stared at the crowd coldly.
"Mind your business," Jennie commanded in a harsh tone. The crowd turned to the women on stage, average looking, or so Lisa thought.

"Do you think they look nice?"
"Nice? I think they look gorgeous.". Jennie looked in wonder at one woman, making Lalisa frown.

***********

Lalisa's POV:

The voting had just ended, and Jennie and Jisoo were nowhere that I knew. I tried looking for Jennie everywhere, she was right where I never expected her to be. I walked down the stairs and hid behind a wall,
"Jennie-", a feminine voice said, but then instantly got cut off by Jennie's voice.
"Shush, darling. And enjoy this.", I felt her smirk. I fell to the ground with my back pressed up against the wall, tears threatening to fall.

My heart ached, I didn't know why. I've never met Jennie and I've got so attached to her.
Why? Was she using my trust? It wasn't like we were together, but I felt broken. I felt my head get light and my eyes closed, pulling me into a light white. Only that. White.

A blurry vision came, I was standing on the cliff Jennie'd took me to, my knees trembling and unable to stand up. I held out my hand and looked at it. My hand was transparent and white. I tilted my head up and saw two women approaching the edge. The one that caught my attention was a woman with long, brown hair, sitting next to another with golden blonde hair and brown chestnut eyes.
"Do you like it?"
"I love it!".
I walked closer and sat next to the blonde woman, staring at both of their faces. Her face just like mine, identical. And the woman next to her, she looked like Jennie. No no, it WAS Jennie. I assumed that was both of us, this memory only brought me back to tonight. That was the reason. A tear escaped my eye as I saw them connect lips.
I can't believe I never remembered.
"Saranghaeyo, Jennie."
the blonde smiled. The brunette kissed the tip of the girl's nose and smiled,
"I love you too, Lalice.".

The vision blurred awake and I was met with the gaze of Jennie, her face looked cold and bitter.
"What are you doing here." she lifted an eyebrow, her expression turned annoyed. I couldn't help but cry, hoards of tears escaped my eyes,
"I said...", she lifted me by my neck and held me up in the air. I held her hands, trying to release the grip.
"WHY ARE YOU HERE." she shouted in my face, I held my head low and removed my hands from hers. She set me down and stared at me, guilty.
"No, Lalice-", she held my arm but I swatted it away. I walked up the stairs, stopping at the middle and looked at her.
"No. Don't try to contact me ever.". Another tear escaped my eye and so did hers. I looked away, clenching my teeth and ran out of the ballroom and outside.

I fell on my knees, weak and alone. I didn't know why, but. I felt guilty. Why?
I stared at the creaking gates and saw Jennie, running to me.
"GET OFF ME!" I screamed, alarming a woman in front of the door. She ran up to Jennie and detached her from me. She held out her hand and I took it, she held me close and we left, just like that.
"Thanks Jisoo..." I whispered, she smiled at me and put her arm around my shoulder.

*********************

"You wanna tell me what happened?" she asked me, sitting across from me on my bed, crossing her legs. I sighed deeply and stared at her, my eyes still filled with tears that I didn't dare let to go.
"I saw my now ex-girlfriend kissing another woman, Jisoo.", she was shocked at my words, as I saw. I didn't care.
"Who was it?"
"It's a long story..." I weakly smiled at her, Jisoo's face was now filled with remorse, she got closer and hugged me once more.
"Tell me.".
I sighed again and began.
