Jay woke up from a nightmare with a pounding headache, taking a shower then going downstairs and getting medicine before laying face down on the couch beside one of his dads who was holding his two year old brother; who was crying very loudly.
"dad make him stoppp" jay whined, covering his ears with his hands.
his dad shushed his brother, who quieted and fell asleep; then looked over at him.
"what's wrong jay?" he asked, worried.
"n-nothing dad..." jay said, grabbing a pillow and hugging it to him, craving physical touch but he would never ask for it.
his dad let it go. which he was grateful for.
"can i go out with friends?" he asked his dad quietly.
"who? what's their names? where?" his dad quickly asked.
jay groaned, "just some friends dad,"
see he was not going out with his friends, but his boyfriend, who he was scared to tell them about.
just then his older brother came downstairs, "dad just let him go," he came over and ruffled jays hair, "you need a ride?"
jay quickly shook his head, standing up and rushing out the door, yelling a quick "love you!" to everyone.
he knew later he'd probably be in trouble for leaving, but right now he needed to get out.
