For those who find it hard to trust someone after being taught the hard lessons of deceit.
Sometimes it better to learn and to move on rather than to close yourself off to others.
I had an outline for this book sitting in my drafts. It was in need of lots of changes whether that be with the characters or just the plot line itself. I think I finally got the book to where I want it and I'm so happy that I'll be able to share it.
All I can do is ask for everyone to be kind not just to me but to everyone. I'm a amateur writer willing to listen so advice is appreciated but hate is not.
Lastly I'd like to add that this book is a dual point of view story but most I plan to be in Evangelines point of view. Also that this book contains swearing, drinking, mature sex scenes, and touches on mentally abusive relationships.
Being the proud owner of Elles bakery, Evangeline Cahill puts all her priority into working so that she is able to stay and live in New York City. All the while across from her own apartment is New York cop, Elijah Benson. He's blatantly honest and is much like Evangeline when it comes to lacking friends.
So when he is in dire need of someone to watch his dog, Harvey he turns to the one person he's talked to longer then a whole of five minutes. Willingly saying yes, Evangeline thinks nothing of it other than she'll be able to come home to something other than her television. But with dog sitting comes dinner dates, dog walks, and lots of late night conversations.
