Most Neomals would want to live near a definite source of water, but getting to it is not as easy as it seems. The banks are very muddy. The mud is thick enough for a Neocat to walk upon, but it's too thin for anything else to get to the river. Anything larger than a small Neocat would sink and get stuck in the mud, which leads to poor hunting around it.
