Oh shit this is it.
————————————————————

Thursday

Luna stared out from the balcony onto the Parisian streets. In a few days she would be married to Alex. It didn't feel real. Everyday she got a text from a new person saying they had arrived and were buzzing for Saturday.

She flicked the stub of her cigarette off the side, ashing it into the air before bringing it back to her chapped lips. It was her first cigarette since she had stopped smoking back in 2016, well, other than the occasional one in a stressful situation. In a way, this was one of those situations.

Pulling out her phone, she called a number and scrolled until she found the name she was looking for. She brought it to her ear and switched hands for her fag.

"Bonjour bride." Harry's voice rang down the phone.

"Is Alex with you?" She asked, her heart pounding.

"No, I thought he was out with the monkeys getting ready for tonight" he assumed, mentioning the stag do they were going to that night.

"Can you come over?" She requested. Harry paused for a moment, wondering what was happening.

"I'll be there in a few." He said before hanging up.

Luna put the phone back in her pocket and lit another cigarette, realising hers was now done. If Jen could see her now, she would curse her and start yelling about how her teeth would go yellow the day before her big day.

Harry arrived no more than ten minutes later, walking straight in and towards the balcony. Luna didn't even face him when he sat next to her.

"I'm freaking out." She confessed. Harry let out a sigh, realising that it was gonna be one of them at some point in the next few days and Alex was way too excited.

"Okay, why?" He asked. Luna looked at him and the look she gave him terrified him. She looked sixteen again, the same look she would get whenever she would come home from Brian's after an argument or drinking too much. Wrecked. "Lu." He sighed again.

"You know how much of a fuck up i was." She started, her hands shaking as she held her cigarette.

"With all due respect, shut the fuck up Luna." He stopped her before she could say anything else. "Yes you were a fuck up as a teenager but you haven't been that way in a long long time. Everyone knows it, Al knows it too." He assured her. Luna nodded but she didn't look any better.

"What if I fuck it up?" She chewed her look, looking actually cut up about this but Harry didn't know what exactly was getting her.

"You've been with Alex for four years now and you both have probably fucked up a lot but you're here now. That's got to count for something." He pointed out. Luna sat back in her chair and took another drag.

"One in two marriages end in divorce, Harry. If he divorces me I will die, I won't be able to handle it." She said straight into his eyes. Harry raised his eyebrows.

She was chatting absolute shit and she needed to be reminded. Harry knew that the minute she saw Alex she would feel okay again but it was his job to make sure she didn't spiral too far in the meantime.

"Can I just remind you that Alex fell for you when you were an absolute state, dating a dickhead and going no where. No offense. Don't get me wrong Lu but even I was a bit worried in what he saw in you. I have no doubt that if you were still like that he would still marry you and that probably would've ended up in divorce but have you looked at yourself recently? You're a business woman building her empire, well educated, independent, self sufficient and confident woman and I know that Alex probably tells you this everyday." He explained. Luna nodded.

"I don't deserve him." She put her head in her hands. It was just her insecurities getting to her when she was at her most vulnerable. Leaning back, she pulled herself together.

"I know it's hard to believe you're successful when you live with a man like that but you need to be more sure of yourself. You deserve all of this." Luna put out her cigarette and nodded before standing up. Harry followed suit just in case she was about to fling herself off the side. Instead, she pulled him into a tight hug.

"Oh, Haz?" she pulled away from the hug. He hummed in response to show he was listening. "Can you give me away tomorrow?" She asked. It was something she had been thinking about for a while now and had discussed with Alex, who obviously thought it was a great idea.

Harry's jaw tightened in response, he didn't quite know what to say. She was his twin sister and of course since their dad died he couldn't give her away but for some reason it had never occurred to him that maybe she would ask him to give her away.

"I'd be honoured, Lu" He beamed. She broke out into a grin and hugged him again. "What do I have to do, just walk you there?" He wondered. Luna chuckled.

"Basically yeah, Jen will explain it all to you." She assured him. Harry wasn't showing it but his heart was bursting while she spoke to him.

Friday

It was Luna and Alex's last day as a non married couple so they were eating Doritos and dip in front of the tv sat on opposite sides of the sofa. They were currently residing in a large chateau (think four out of five music video) in the Parisian suburbs. It was Alex's room they had decided to relax in for the evening as they had been given separate rooms to stay in so they didn't see each other on the wedding day. It was something neither of them realistically wanted.

"I had a really deep chat with Harry yesterday." She informed him. His ears perked up at her voice and he looked over at her to show that he was paying attention.

"About what?" He wondered, not to be intrusive but he thought he might as well ask.

"Just life back in Sheffield, what i was like. I was panicking because I was scared you would one day figure out you deserve better but he helped me realise I do deserve all of this." She summed up. Alex grinned.

"What did I tell you?" He chuckled as if he was right the whole time. Luna rolled her eyes.

"Shut up, I'm insecure." She muttered. He squeezed her leg before holding his hands out for her to move closer to him. Moving the doritos and dip out of the way, she climbed on top of him and rested her head on his chest. "And I asked him if he would give me away" She added. Alex smiled.

"I bet he was well chuffed" He beamed at their sibling relationship.

"Yeah, he seemed pretty excited" She smiled, remembering his reaction. It meant so much to her that he said yes. Alex brushed his lips against her cheek to get her attention.

"Miles got ordained" He confessed. Luna's eyes widened, her head snapping in his direction.

"As in, he can marry people?" She asked. He nodded. "Honestly Alex, I give you one job to find someone to marry us and you pick Miles" She laughed at how completely Alex this was.

"We may or may not have drunkenly promised each other many years ago that we would marry each other- like, be the ordained one" He winced, waiting for her reaction but she just laughed.

"Keep it in the family, I guess" She sighed, earning a laugh from him.

"What time are you off?" He asked, moving the subject on. She sighed and looked at her phone screen.

"An hour, Jen is coming over to collect me" Luna was slightly nervous about staying without Alex the night before but it's just how weddings went. "Can I call you before I sleep?" She looked up at him. His body shifted so he was holding her and their faces mirroring each other.

"Of course. It's going to be weird having you just down the hall from me, sleeping separately" He signed. She hummed in agreement. "Promise you won't get cold feet tomorrow." he brought his pinky finger up, Luna found this adorable as she linked hers with it.

"If there's one thing I'm sure about, it's you" She scrunched up her nose as she spoke, cringing at herself. He chuckled at her reaction.

"You couldn't even get that out" He laughed, squeezing her body tightly and rolling her over so she was back on top of him. His hand brushed away any hair that fell into his face as he stared at her. "Do you want me clean shaven tomorrow?" He asked, rubbing his face that was slightly stubbly now.

"Yes please" She leant down and kissed along his jawline. "I prefer you smooth" She breathed against his skin. Alex rolled his eyes back, not believing how lucky he was to have this woman on top of him in that moment.

"I can't wait for our first fuck as a married couple" He smirked. Luna giggled.

"How romantic" Her eyes rolled, he propped himself up on his elbows and kissed her passionately. Her hands pulled his head up so he was sat up with her wrapped around his hips.

Alex moaned into the kiss, pushing his hips up against her centre. He knew her body like the back of his hand at this point, his hands were moving without him even thinking. Their tongues danced, grazing against each other. Luna pulled away from the kiss for air so Alex started kissing her neck. She whined at the friction he was creating at their cores.

"Al, I can't have a love bite on my wedding day" She breathed. He pulled away from her neck and brought his finger to where his mouth has just been before looking up at her apologetically. With a light chuckle, she pushed her lips back against his.

The tension was getting too much, Alex unzipped her jeans that were placed against his and started feeling around, as usual she had no problem responding to his touch so she just grinned against his hand to try and relieve some of the pressure in her stomach.

"We have to be quick, Jen will be here soon" She informed him. Alex put on a determined face and started to speed things up.

Saturday

Luna's bridal party had all gathered to get ready for the big day. As her bridesmaids she had Katie, Jen and Carla but Ava and her mum were also there. It was going to be a relatively small wedding so her and Alex agreed three people up there with them each.

Jen sat down in her bedroom with her to do her makeup while her mum did her hair. Luna was forced to look at herself the whole time in the mirror, her nerves were bubbling inside her. All she wanted was to see Alex because then she would relax.

Julia and Jen chatted to her, aware of her nerves by the look on her face. They asked about their honeymoon which they had decided to go to the Maldives before it sunk into the ocean. However that wouldn't be happening until July since Alex still had some tour dates to do beforehand.

Once Luna was all made up, her mum started to cry. They then had to deal with that, mopping up her tears as she fanned herself. It felt like such a normal wedding, not like she was about to marry a famous rockstar. It felt right.

"Okay, it's time for the dress" It was announced and everyone was ushered out of the room except for Jen. "I can't believe you're getting married" her voice wobbled as she helped her best friend get into the white dress. Luna didn't reply, just tried to steady her breathing when she saw herself for the first time with the full outfit on. "Wow" Jen breathed, taking a full look at her.

"Pass the champagne" Luna nodded to her glass. Jen did as she was told and watched as she downed the whole thing. "Okay, let's go"

They exited the bedroom into the living room. Harry had just arrived and was talking to Carla casually with a glass of champagne in his hand. He was dressed in a sharp suit, his tie matching the bridesmaids pale blue dresses. All their heads turned as she entered the room, Jen followed with a wide grin on her face.

"What am I doing?" Luna laughed, never thinking she'd ever get in a wedding dress and actually get married. Her mum started crying again, Harry just smiled at her with wide adoration.

"Ready?" He asked, she nodded and they all made their way downstairs. Luna's heart was racing. Part of her just wanted it over so they could go back to their lives but she knew this was what she had to do.

Alex was stood at the end of the isle, Matt, Nick and Jamie stood next to him. Miles was on his other side, ready to do his part. His hands were sweaty so he kept wiping them on his trousers since he would have to hold Luna's in a very short while. He kept readjusting his collar and hair every two seconds. Matt put his hand on his shoulder to try and relax him.

Family members started to file in, they had only invited immediate family and a limited amount of friends so it wasn't long before everyone was in the large hall and all they were waiting for was the bride. Penny and David took their seats and waved at Alex, who gave them a grin.

Alex's heart began to race as Julia and Ava walked through the door, that meant she was here. His eyes widened slightly and he looked at his groomsmen for some assurance. They all gave him a thumbs up.

Suddenly, the music started playing and Alex almost passed out. He took a step back as everyone stood up in anticipation for his heart to give way. The doors swung open and Ava's daughter started to walk forwards throwing flowers everywhere. All the guests awed but Alex hardly noticed, he had tunnel vision for the door.

The bridesmaids started to walk through, Carla then Katie then Jen. Jen gave Alex a large grin as if to say 'you are not ready for what you're about to witness' which he already knew. Then he saw Harry's walk round the corner and he could've sworn his heart stopped. With a large gulp, he watched his Luna walk towards him.

Luna's breath was taken aback by what she witnessed. She had seen Alex in a suit countless times but in this context, he looked particularly tasty. His lips were moving around as if he was trying not to scream, she hoped it was him trying to suppress his grin. Harry squeezed her hand that was wrapped around his arm, the energy was electric in the room.

"Love you" Harry whispered as they reached the end of isle. He placed a kiss on her hand before letting it go and joining their mum in the seats.

Luna took her spot in front of Alex, who was now grinning like mad. He couldn't hold it in anymore, his eyes ran up and down her body and a small shake of the head signalled that he was speechless. She looked at Miles and couldn't help but laugh slightly a the sight of him holding his lines.

Miles cleared his throat.

"Please be seated" He said quite seriously to the guests, who did what they were told. Alex and Luna were both grinning at him, amused by the whole thing. "We gather here to unite these two people in marriage. Marriage, ideally, is a sharing of responsibilities, hopes, and dreams. It takes a special effort to grow together, survive hard times, and be loving and unselfish but these two definitely have shown that so far"

They both watched Miles in adoration. Luna was suddenly so glad Alex had chosen him to do this role.

"Do you both promise to honor and tenderly
care for one another, cherish and encourage each other, stand
together, through sorrows and joys, hardships and triumphs for all
the days of your lives?"

"We do." They said at the same time. Miles grinned, getting excited.

"Yay" He mumbled, making them laugh. "Right, who has the rings?" He asked, looking to Matt. Matt put his hand in his pocket and gave him the two rings. "Thank you, take these" he handed them to the couple. Luna giggled, staring at Alex now.

"May these rings be blessed as a symbol of your union. May you be reminded of the vows you have made and the strength of your commitment to each other." He nodded to Alex to say his vows and give her the ring.

"Luna, I promise I will love you with every inch of my being for as long as I live. I promise to keep writing songs about you until you see yourself the way I see you and to everyday prove to you that you deserve everything you have and will have because I'm going to give you everything. I just..." He took in a deep breath so he didn't cry "I just love you so much" He sighed, holding up the ring and placing it on her finger.

"Lu, you turn" Miles nudged her with his words, making her giggle slightly.

"Oh, Alexander" She sighed. Everyone's faces lit up at her introduction, especially Alex's. "I promise to hold onto you and appreciate everything you do for me, not to mention love you for as long as I can. I promise I won't get mad when you can't make a birthday or an anniversary because it means I get to watch you do what you love and that means more to me than any date could ever. I can't wait to start our lives together married and know that I get to be the one that wakes up with you everyday. I love you, Alexander" She spoke quite fast just so she didn't let the tears fall too quickly. She held Alex's hand and placed the ring on his finger. He stared at it with such wide eyes.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." Miles announced. Alex was taken aback by what he had said. It was quite a miracle that they had made it this far.

He grabbed Luna's face and kissed her as hard as he could. Luna snaked her hands under his suit jacket and hugged his body as their lips and tears mixed together.

In the audience, people were crying, holding their hands over their mouths and clapping. People that had watched Luna and Alex grow up together, who had watched them find their way to and from each other. Some who knew the whole Alex and Luna story and others who just knew them as two people completely enraptured by one another. However they knew them, they all agreed that this marriage was going to last.
