"Chaeyoung!" A sweet familiar voice called, and I smiled, knowing who it was from. I saw Jennie waving her hand with her legendary gummy smile.
"You need anything?" I asked once she was in front of me. It had been a few months since we bumped into each other, and when she returned my notebook. We started hanging out after classes, and sometimes Lisa would join us. Lisa and I had different schedules, while Jennie and I had most of our plans together, resulting in us getting closer.
"Nothing much. Where do you plan on going after class?"
"Probably at the garden?" I questioned, and Jennie groaned, making me chuckle. "Why? got any better ideas there, Nini?"
Jennie smirked, then grabbed my hand, and we ran somewhere off. "You bet I do! Let's go!" She turned back, and it felt like time slowed for a minute: her sparkling eyes, lively mood, and genuine smile. For the first time, my heart was acting nuts. We've been together for a month now, yet today was different.

"Chaeyoung! What are you doing?" Jennie groans as she focuses her camera on me. She took me to a cafe to escape the stressful life in school.
"What am I doing? I should be the one asking you that! Stop that!" I fought back, and she just giggled, making me smile at how childish she could get.
"You know, whether you like it or not, I'm gonna keep these pictures," She says, making me question why. I placed down the menu and stared at her.
"Why?"
Jennie smiles. "Because it's the only event and time a photo can give." She explained, and I swore on Joohwangie's fishbowl that my heart flipped. I couldn't believe this girl was making me go insane and feel something I couldn't figure out.
*click*
I slipped into reality when I heard a noise and saw Jennie smirking as she held her camera. That's when I realized she had taken a picture of me looking like an idiot! I widened my eyes at how sneaky she was.
"Nini! How could you?" I pouted as she continued to chuckle.
"Don't worry, Chaeyoung-ah, it's a great photo." She happily exclaims and shows me the photo.
"You look so in love with me," She bluntly says, making me freeze in my seat. I hear my heart going crazy again. Was this the word? love? Am I in love? Here she was, looking at her camera with that smile printed on her face that I grew to admire.
"Chaeyoung?" She calls. I'm starting to love how she calls my name.
"Hmmm?"
"Are you alright?" She asks.
I shake my head after our quick snack here in the cafe. I grabbed her hand and took her to a nearby ice cream shop. My heart again flipped when I handed Jennie her favorite ice cream, and she smiled widely.
Am I falling in love with Jennie Kim? What was this feeling?
I've been thinking about it for a while now, and I guess I know what.
I want to be your smile. I want to be your smile so bright. I remember the first time you smiled at me. You taught me to smile, and I hope it never dies.

"Tell me something that I don't know," Lisa smirks. We just got back from school.
"That you're stupid?" I answered, earning a scoff.
"No,"
"Then I don't know what you are talking about," Chaeyoung says as she lies down on her bed. They share a room, while BamBam has a room all for himself.
"That you're falling in love with Jennie Kim," She says, which makes me stiffen, and Lisa chuckles.
I glared at her, who was smiling like an idiot. "What are you even saying?"
"Pshhh. Oh, please, you were pretty obvious. The stares, your idiotic smiles, ho-"
"Okay, okay! What do you want?" I groan.
"Why haven't you made a move yet?"
"Move?"
"You know, ask her out?"
"Are we seriously talking about Jennie?"
"Oh, come on, you're falling in love with her."
"So what if I'm falling in love? She doesn't like me more than a friend anyway."
"You don't know that. She cares for you unlike any other. She loves you!" Lisa scolds.

Chaeyoung has been ignoring Jennie for a week since she realized she was slowly falling for the cat-eyed brunette.
"Lisa, do you think she'd want me here?" Jennie asks as Lisa escorts her in front of Chaeyoung's music room. Jennie has been asking where and why Chaeyoung doesn't want to see her, so Lisa thought of dragging Jennie to Chaeyoung's prison cell and locking the door for them to talk it out.
"Trust me. She misses you too." Lisa stops as she looks at the girl who made her best friend feel something she'd never thought she'd have. "And Jennie, Be honest about what you truly feel. I'm sure everything will turn out fine." Jennie smiles before finally opening the door.
Once the door opened. Jennie heard a beautiful sound coming from a musical instrument that Chaeyoung would play aside from her guitar. She slowly took a step forward and then heard her singing.

"Chaeyoung," Jennie softly calls, which makes the girl playing the piano flinch. She slowly looks back and widens her eyes to see Jennie Kim standing a few meters before her.
"W-What are you doing h-here?" Chaeyoung croaks, unable to process if Jennie is here.
Jennie frowns and sighs. "You've been ignoring me for a week. Tell me, have I done something wrong, Chaeyoung?" She asks, eyes teary as she gets no reply from Chaeyoung, who grows silent.
"Chaeyoung, please, I don't want to lose you. Did I do something?"
"You did," Chaeyoung answers shortly as she looks away.
"My heart goes crazy every time you're near me. You talk to me, smile at me, everything," Chaeyoung explains and sighs as she stares at Jennie.
"Are y-"
"Yes, I'm falling in love with you, Jennie Kim," She admits, which made Jennie's heart flutter.
"Then why avoid me?"
"Because I don't deserve you. I can't give you a normal life. How much more is a normal relationship? I have told you about my life and my parents. I don't want to hurt you."
"But you are already hurting me."
"Jennie, you know how it's complicated."
"So you're just gonna ignore what I feel as well?" She says, and Chaeyoung raises a confused brow.
"Yeah, I'm in love with you too. Who cares about the world you are living in? I'm willing to be with you because I love you, and avoiding me for one week has gone too far. So please, let me help you."
"I love you too," Chaeyoung smiled, and Jennie went beside her to hug her.
"ABOUT TIME, SLOWPOKES. HOW ABOUT WE GET OURSELVES SOME FOOD TO CELEBRATE!?" As she opens the door, Lisa yells, making the new couple jump in surprise.
"I love you," Jennie says again, making Chaeyoung grin.
"I love you too. Love,"

"Chaeyoung," A faint voice calls as I struggle to open my eyes. I slowly opened them and realized I was lying in a hospital bed.
"C-Chaeyoung?" A familiar voice and I slowly directed my eyes to the source of the vote.
Jennie?
