"Chapter Nine: Meet up with the family"

The air was so thick with tension.
And you can't tell what kind of tension it was.
After you got in, you went straight to the house you and Hyun shares. The princes followed you and stayed in the living room and Hyun stayed with them. Bam Bam showed shortly after one of the guards' minds linked him.
"Did they rape you?" You turned around so quickly, your head cracked.
"Dude, what the fuck," you asked at Bam Bam, who is now treating your wounds. He shrugged while putting yellow creme on the wounds.
You tensed up as you hold the sides as the creme burns your thigh. You winced as it started crawling up to your waist. The pain was very familiar that you were surprised that every time you use it, you still get teary-eyed from the pain.
The cream is made of mermaid scales crushed then a drop of dragon's saliva is mixed into the powder.
The same dragon where you got the daggers from.
The paste is set over a week and then a liter of blood from nymphs that explain the color of the cream and a handful of fur from a werewolf. But then, of course, you weren't in good terms with the wolves back then.
It was a discovery, one of the greatest inventories and discoveries of Bam Bam, but he was just as childish as the kids in the camp.
He called the paste, "The magic shit".
You could see the wound healing up, the stitches fading slowly until the burning stop. Bam Bam wiped the cream off with a towel and set it to the side.
In the place of the wound is a scar. You pulled your pants up as Bam Bam cleaned up.
"Do you think they're at each other's throat by now?" You asked him as he put his roll of gauze in his suitcase. He shrugged his shoulders as he took off his stethoscope.
"Would be more surprising if they didn't spill some on the floor," He snickered as he held the door open for you to first come out. You both walked down the hall, silently as possible. You stepped over spots you know that would creak and eventually arrived at the living room where the three men sat opposite of each other.
Two on one couch, one crossing his legs other swirling his water on the glass cup.
One was on the opposite, facing the men. He sat leaning forward, twirling a gun in hand. Three men stood behind him, snipers resting across their bulletproof vest. Behind the two men are five guards who are in black suits and have their glasses on. They wore an earpiece that threw you off because you know that wolves can mind link. While the seated men stare or glare at each other, the guards glare at each other.
You looked behind you to see Bam Bam salute to you before going to his room. You glared lasers at the door where he left before exhaling and entering the room.
You sat beside Hyun and grabbed an apple from the center table. Hyun looked at you before softening his eyes.
"You want to get some cheeseburgers?" He whispered to you. The corner of your lips turned ever so lightly and he took that as a yes. He looked behind him and nodded at the men before looking back at you.
"They didn't torture you?" He questioned, glaring at the men. The princes glared right back at him. You shook your head as you munch on the apple. You looked at the princes who is still glaring at the boy beside you. You focused on their eyes and see gold outlining their iris. Jungkook felt your stare and faced you. You blinked as the gold on his iris gets more visible. You furrowed your eyebrows, Taehyung now looking at you with his eyes lining with gold too.
You looked at the both of them with your eyebrows furrowed. They looked at each other before closing their eyes and looking back at you. Jungkook waved his hand at you while Taehyung got back to glaring at Hyun.
"What the fuck are you two doing here," Hyun demanded at the princes. Jungkook raised his eyebrow while Taehyung looks like he's about to shift.
"We're here to accompany our mate that is sitting beside you," Jungkook said. You choked on you apple while Hyun looked at you, shocked.
"Let's talk outside." He stood up, grabbing your hand. The apple fell as you let him drag you but before that happen, a hand stopped him and pulled you behind.
You looked up to see purple hair. You looked to the side to see the guards raising their guns and pointing either at Taehyung or Hyun. The two men glared each other down, neither one backing down.
"Don't you fucking touch her," Taehyung growled out. This shock you as this is the first time one the boys broke out of their calm state. He looked different than what he just presented a while ago.
Mad, psycho, impatient, dominant, possesive.
Hyun sneered at him. That's when Bam Bam suddenly appeared at the doorway, pointing a gun up. He looked around alarmed.
"What's going on?" He breathed out. You looked at him and shook your head. You looked back at the two then held Taehyung's bicep. He looked down at you, his eyes swirling with intense gold. A memory bloomed in your mind that made you recognize what you were doing.
What the fuck are you doing? A voice shouted at you inside your mind.
Are you actually out of your mind to do that? Ask the voice, incredulously.
Shut the fuck up. You answered calmly back.
I know what I'm doing. You said to yourself.
You slowly and almost painfully caressed his bicep. Even though the thick suit, spark flowed gracefully, following your thumb. Bam Bam, Hyun, and your guards were taken aback from what you did. The hold of the guards' guns loosened after being shock of what you did.
Jungkook did not notice the commotion but know very well that something was up. The guards of the princes looked around, not getting the commotion with Jungkook but Tahyung did not see anything. All he felt was sparks blooming everywhere.
"What in the world-" You gave Hyun a certain look that made him shut up. You focused back on Taehyung, who stared at your eyes.
"It's okay, we'll just talk," You assured him. His eyes soften up and the gold retreated back. You squeezed his bicep once more before letting go and looking at Jungkook, who's eyes also are dangerously turning into gold.
"Jungkook," You called out as much as a whisper it can be. He looked at you and the gold disappeared. You looked around at the guards.
"Put those guns down or else I'm making training ten hours a day for seven days a week," you threaten the guards that immediately put their guns down and look at you with innocent stares. You looked at the guards of the princes who put their guns down as well.
You looked back at Hyun and nodded at him before the two of you leave the room. You walked past Bam Bam who just stared at you.
"What the fuck just happened," He whispered out. He looked at the guards, who now stand beside him and to the men who stay rooted at their spots.
Bam Bam cleared his throat.
"So umm, you guys want some Mc Donalds or something?" He asks. The guards looked at each other while Taehyung looked at him, crazy.
"I want some nuggets," Jungkook stated.

The two of you walked out of the house until your feet brought you to the field. The breeze was just right, not too cold, not too strong. Different species of flowers sprouted in different areas of the open field. You headed to a tree where a wheel was hang.
"You hate them, do you?" You asked him as you started to swing yourself.
"I hate the barney more," He grumbled. You snorted at his expression of Taehyung.
"At least give him a chance," You say, your feet almost touching the leaves of the tree from your swinging.
"Trust me I did. I didn't go so well," He murmured. You roll your eyes before slowly your swinging.
"So, luna huh," Hyun said, changing the subject and looking into the view. He sat at the shade of the tree while you swing slowly. You looked at him before looking away.
"Never thought my girl would have a mate after Min-" He stopped him himself when you inhaled sharply.
"Please don't say his name," You say, almost pleadingly. He crossed his legs before looking at you.
"Y/n, it's been two years since then," He sighed out. You looked at him.
"That's why I'm giving them a chance," You said quietly but not under a whisper. He raised a brow.
"Look, Y/n, I'm only gonna say this once and don't bully me after this because I'm not good with words." He stood up and walked in front of you. You skidded your shoes softly to stop swinging. He lowered himself to came face to face with you. He held your hands.
"Y/n, I treated you as my blood-related family. You are very important to me so I wouldn't want anything bad happened to you. As your brother," He took a breathe in.
"I want the best for you. You deserve someone. It would be hard to trust again but move on, alright?" He gave you a sincere smile. You took his words to heart and that made your eyes water. You sighed shakily before Hyun pulling you into a hug. You hugged back just as tightly, few tears breaking out of your eyes.
"I just wish I can tell you," Hyun whispered very quietly that you would have missed it if it weren't for the vibration of his voice.
"What?" You asked him, pulling out of the hug but he just pushed you back into the hug.
"It's nothing. Just shut up and let me show my love," he said. You smiled, feeling safe for the first time in years.

"Umm, I wasn't sure if you want your cheeseburger with bacon or not so I got both of you... both," The guard gave each of you a paper bag from Burger King. You took your bag and inspected the inside. You felt relieved when you saw two burgers and two large packets of fries. You looked at the guard, who looked nervous with you and Hyun quiet. You looked at Hyun, who nodded at you with silent agreement.
"You're good, dude. Thanks," Hyun said to the guard, who sighed in hidden relief then saluted and left. You popped a fry in while taking a bite of the burger. Flavors exploded from every part of your tongue as you sigh in extent.
The two of you end up staying at the field before being interrupted by the guard. It was peaceful. Neither one of you wants to destroy the silence. You closed your eyes as you savor in the breeze and heat,
But then Hyun's watch beeped. You glared at his watch as he tries to stop the beeping. He swiped up and a hologram showed. You raised your eyebrow as you recognized that it was the same kind watch that was gifted to you by Bam Bam's chief. He gave each one of you the same watch but with initials on the bottom.
He swiped over and reads a message of Bam Bam's. His mouth moves as he reads the words before swiping down on his watch.
"Two letters came in. Both black sealed," He stood up, pushing the rest of his burger in his mouth. You grimaced as you took the last bite of the burger and throwing the wrapper inside your paper bag. You now only noticed that night is settling upon the land. The two of you jogged to the chief's house where the prince's guard was standing at the footsteps and your guards saluted as the both of you pass by them.
You entered the chief's office, seeing the princes sitting down and in front of the chief's desk and Bam Bam standing beside his father, looking anxious. His father looked up then stood, followed by the princes.
"That was a short talk," Taehyung raised his eyebrow as you could physically see his shoulder slumping down from relief. Jungkook elbowed his brother and step out the way and offered you his seat. You nodded you thanks and take his seat while he stands beside you.
The other chair was occupied by Hyun as Taehyung decided to stand up. The chief sat back down.
"So I think you all know why we are all here," The chief started and glancing at the princes, but the princes made no attention to it or whatever.
"I'll make this simple as I can be. I will let her stay at you, kingdom, but only if you respect her thoughts and her space, and if you let her visit here whenever she wants," He told the boys. The men nodded respectfully.
"And that she brings more of that bread here. That shit tastes surprisingly good," Bam Bam interludes. The chief shushes him down while Hyun rolls his eyes and the Jungkook smiling as an agreement. You shook your head as you gestured to the envelopes. The chief sees this and decides to change the topic.
"Do you trust them enough to listen to the conversation?" He asked you before you looked at them and nodded. He sighed and raised the letters up.
"These two letters are for you, one came from the pirates and the other from the Bereginuas," He hands you the letters, which you took with almost hesitantly. You were unsure about opening the letter from the mermaids since mermaids or anything that has a connection with the sea is bad news, including the pirates at that.
"I'll summarize what the Bereginuas wants since Wang was very childish in that letter," He said while shaking her head.
"The queen wants you to kill her husband in the span of one week for half a million pounds," He said.
"No," Jungkook stated as he looked at you.
"Out of all the people Merinda could hire, why Nyx?" Taehyung growled. It was loud enough to raise goosebumps on your neck and you noticed the smallest twitch of an eye the chief did.
"Because it's her job and we can't do anything about it other than sitting our asses down and pray to God she'll come back in one piece and alive!" Hyung stated loudly that it made everyone quiet down. He stood up so quickly, the chair flew backward. He stared at Taehyung's eyes while heaving.
"So you better shut the fuck up before I throw you out myself," He poked Taehyung's chest. Taehyung did not step back but step forward so now they glare each other down. You stood up, pocketing the letters inside your coat.
"Thank you for the overview chief, Bam Bam," You quietly whispered through the tension as they nodded to you while you grabbed Jungkook's wrist and pulled Taehyung's. You whispered your goodbye to Hyun as he stays rooted. You pulled them in your bedroom while you took out a duffel bag and a small luggage bag.
"You do know that I cannot decline any mission given to me, right?" You asked as you took out shelves-worth of clothes.
"Wait, really?" Jungkook asked you as he sat down on your bed. Taehyung walked around your room that was very plain to his judgment. You nodded while placing the clothes in your luggage bag and getting back up for more.
"Does your leg feel better?" Taehyung changed the subject but you let him as you weren't really in the mood to reminisce what just happened.
"Bam Bam just left a scar," You said while zipping your luggage bag that was now filled with shoes and clothes.
"What do you mean?" Taehyung asked. You looked back at them and shrugged your shoulders.
"No more injury," You said while placing your essentials in the duffel bag along with a few weapons.
"We could talk to Merinda about her situation so that the guards could do it," Taehyung said, looking at a family picture. The top was completely torn off while the background was pearly white. The only thing you could see is a baby being held.
"Taehyung, I just told you. I can't-" You were cut off by the purple-haired man.
"Who is this?" Taehyung asked as he took the Frame into his hands. Jungkook stood up and looked at it behind of His brother. You finally zipped the duffel bag before heading towards them. Taehyung gave you the picture only for you to give a hollow smile.
"I don't know either," You said before placing it back at the shelf.

Only this week did i get to update because the month before was so hectic.
