Hermione felt her headache as she stood wakeful from her bed, she squinted her eyes as the sunlight shone brightly from the window. Last night was still fresh from her mind and she couldn't get it out from her head. She press her hands toward her forehead comfortingly, feeling regretful than ever, she felt stupid exposing herself to Draco Malfoy, of all people, it had to be him. There were many things nothing Hermione couldn't handle, but drinking was not one of them, she felt nauseous and dizzy, Bu it didn't stop her from missing a day in class. She reluctantly got ready for the morning, she didn't bother taking a bath, instead, she just brushed her hair and tied it into a messy ponytail, she brushed her teeth and wore her uniform she tried to look presentable but the tiredness in her eyes was visible as she was staring at her reflection.

"Morning, you. You look exhausted" Ginny greeted as Hermione descended from the stairs to the common room, some students were already there, chatting and some doing their school work.

"Just tired of my duties, that's all." She didn't bother to greet her and just gave her a usual smile.

"Are you hungry?" She asked. "Come on, let's eat."

Both girls were babbling about their plans, Ginny especially, was babbling about Harry, it made Hermione a bit annoyed, mostly because she couldn't stop talking about it or the part, how perfect their relationship was and it made her seem that she was rubbing it on her face, but she knew she didn't mean it, Ginny always speaks on her mind.

"He sends me an owl post almost every day!" Ginny said.

"He must really love you, Gin," Hermione said, it was true. Harry and Ginny were like the power couple at their school, everyone admired them.

"I guess so, " Ginny smiled widely. "Enough about me, how about you?"

"Me?"

"I meant Ron, " Ginny said. "How's everything going on with the both of you?"

Ron. Hermione has forgotten about him, Oh, God. He didn't know what happened between her and Draco! She had completely forgotten that she has a boyfriend, a boyfriend who loves her. How was she gonna tell him? Guilt and pain returned which made the pit of her stomach ached, but she tried not to show the distress on her face to Ginny, she needed to be strong.

"Hermione?"

Hermione snapped back from her thoughts. She didn't realize how she just stood there, petrified.

"Are you alright? You look like you've seen a ghost." She teased.

"Nothing. I just got many things on my mind lately, " Hermione explained.

"Well, if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask me," Ginny said.

Both of the girls sat down at the enormous Gryffindor table, and as if in the cue, the whole table was filled with delicious food; pancakes, bacon, eggs, juices and bowl of fruits. They immediately dug in, Hermione didn't realize how hungry she was until she was hogging all of it.

"Hey girls, " Seamus greeted as he sat right next to Hermione.

"Hey, " Both girls replied.

"Seamus!" Dean called out, he strutted to sit with the three of them. "Not flirting with Hermione are we?"

"Oi, shut up Dean." Seamus shooked his head. Hermione gave both of them a puzzled look.

"Don't mind him, Hermione, he's just jealous because of all the 5th years are swooning over me." Seamus bragged.

"In your dreams." Dean scowled and grabbed himself some bacon and filled his plates with all kinds of food.

Ginny just shooked her head. While Hermione's eyes were lingering at the far side of the room, the Slytherin tables. Draco was poking at his food when he looked up and glanced on Hermione but her sight was fixed upon Pansy Parkinson who was clinging on his arm, It was a nauseating sight. Draco wore his usual smug smirk as their eyes met for a brief moment before she immediately looked away. Disgusting, she thought.

"I need to go, " Hermione checked her pocket watch and stood up, as soon she did, Draco did too. Hermione was always the first one to leave the table, so this wasn't unusual for them.

"Where are you going?" Pansy called out.

"Gonna be late for class." He walked hastily and out of the great hall. Theodore, Pansy and Blaise shared a puzzled look, he never once cared if he were late in class, but they just shrugged it off.

Hermione adjusted her bookbag on her shoulders, walking briskly when something grabbed her arm and flung her aside.

"Let go!" Hermione yelled instinctively.

Draco Malfoy had grabbed her by the arm, and now her back was against the wall.

"Shhhh, " he covered her mouth with his hand. "We need to talk."

"Why can't you be more polite?" She hissed and yanked her arm from Draco's grasp, he removed his hand away from her mouth.

"I can't be seen with you." He said in a sharp tone. They were standing on an empty hallway, no students in sight, except for the brunette and the blonde.

"As if I wanted to be seen with you, " Hermione mumbled to herself but Draco heard it anyway, It made him roll his eyes.

"Well, I'm glad you're here because we need to talk, " Hermione raised her chin as she composed herself. "Last night was a--" She couldn't find the right words that described what happened.

"Mistake, " Draco finished her sentence. "I'm glad that you think of it that way, because I do too,"

"Let's just forget that it ever happened....I mean it wasn't that bad" Hermione said with hesitation.

"It was just a kiss " Draco added, "It didn't mean a thing, "
But it did to Hermione, even if it was still a kiss it felt like she had lost her integrity, like a part of her self had been taken away and she couldn't forgive herself, it was also her fault, she should have said no but she just let him.

"The things we said probably weren't true, we were drunk, and out of our heads." She clarified. "I wouldn't even have kissed you if you haven't forced me to, "

"Oh, like you haven't kissed me back, " He pouted, Merlin, he sounded so naive. Draco had many sides, but the childish one was often noticed.

"I'm serious, " she glared. "It's probably best not to tell anyone about it, and I mean everyone."

"I'm not stupid, Granger, " Draco said in annoyance, he checked the hallway, left to right, for oncoming students to walk but it seemed that no one was out yet. "So we agree? Let's forget what happened last night, and go back to the way it was before."

Hermione nodded her head, agreeing.

"Let's go back to throwing insults and hating on each other," Draco declared.

"Absolutely, I will forever hate you, Draco Malfoy" Hermione proclaimed, instead of being serious, he tried to hide a smile on his mouth. Soon,
there was awkwardness hanging between them when they realized how inches close they were.

"So, err, should we shake hands?" Hermione asked, awkwardly.

He stepped back as he hesitated for a moment and then shooked it. "Deal."

And with that, they parted the ways.

The day went on as normal, Hermione always raised her hand and answered all of the professor's questions, she passed her homework on time and she was never late to every single class.
Draco had a productive day too, but his day was ruined by Pansy Parkinson who was clinging on him all day and couldn't stop gossiping about other girls, her mouth won't shut and her annoying voice pierced his ears.

"Won't you ever shut up." Draco snarled.

"Someone's in a bad mood, " She rolled her eyes and continue to caress his arm seductively.

"What are you doing?" He scowled.

She continued to pull Draco closer, while her hands roamed to his chest looking at him, suggestively.

"It's been a long time, " she tiptoed to kissed Draco, but it was interrupted when they heard nearby footsteps.
Both looked at the same time to see who it was. Pansy's eyes glared daggers as Hermione spotted both of them.

"Have you ever got anything to do? Mudblood, " She spat the last word with disgust. Draco clenched Pansy's arm as she said the unforgivable word.

"Ouch!"

Hermione rolled her eyes, "At least I 'm not forcing anyone to put my tongue in their throats."

Pansy's nose flared and was about to open her mouth to respond when Draco grabbed her arm harshly and dragged her to their Potion's class. Draco gave Hermione a disgruntled glimpse before turning away. She shooked her head and went inside.
Professor Slughorn divided the class by 6 members of their houses, Hermione with Seamus, Dean and 3 other housemates she wasn't familiar with.

"Now today, we're putting together an advanced potion, " Professor Slughorn adresses the crowd and presented a glass vial with a green liquid substance, "It's a polyjuice potion."

Hermione smiled confidently, she made this potion during her second year and it would be too easy for her now.

"Now, can anyone tell me some ingredients of a polyjuice potion?"

As always, Hermione raised her arm. Slughorn gestured for her to answer.

"It is a very complicated potion and requires ingredients such as lacewing flies, leeches, flixweed, knotgrass, a powdered horn of a Bicorn and shredded skin of a Boomslang as well as a bit of whoever the drinker intends to turn into," Hermione explained.

"10 points for Gryffindor," Slughorn declared. He continued to tell more information about the potion and what it's effects are. Everyone listened in amazement, as they realized what the option does.

"A complicated potion? This is gonna be a disaster, " Dean groaned.

"Disaster?" Seamus scoffed. "We've got Hermione, "

"I'm gonna be needing your help you know, " Hermione said, raising her eyebrows.

"Oh yeah, yeah. We'll help, " Seamus elbowed Dean.

"Of course, Hermione." Dean grinned mischievously.

Hermione sighed. Knowing them, they aren't gonna be helping. They all started to gather the ingredients, Hermione was trusted to assign each member of different tasks, they began without any complaint or hesitation coming from their mouths. On the other side of the table was the complete opposite, Slytherins groaned and complained.

"This class is the worst, " Theodore Nott whined.

"Don't worry, this is our last year anyway, " Pansy said.
Her hands were roaming around Draco's lap.

"We better make this worth it, " She turned to Draco and bit her lip seductively.

Draco flinched with disgust, everything about her was despicable, her dark hair, her annoying voice and the way she dressed. Draco was about to say something when he heard laughter from the Gryffindor's table. Hermione was laughing along with her friends, Draco felt jealous, he wished he had that happiness. But seeing Hermione happy with other people somewhat made him more envious.

Hermione chuckled at Dean and Seamus's argument as she stirred the Cauldron. With no contemplation, she gazed at the left and saw Pansy, flirting and teasing with Draco, her mood was somehow ruined.

It made Draco inclined to see Hermione green-eyed. Hermione shifted in her seat awkwardly and stirred the potion with haste, she looked at both of with contempt.

Draco smirked smugly at Hermione, making her glare at him. She didn't realize how she rapidly stirred the potion with irritation, it made her almost vomit seeing Pansy making flirtatious eyes with Draco.

"Err, Hermione?" Dean said.

But she didn't hear anything, she was too busy scowling at the two Slytherins.

"I don't think you should stir that fast, " Dean continued.

But it was too late, an explosion erupted from Hermione's cauldron which made the whole class looked at their table in alarm. Liquids were gushing from the cauldron and some glass vials were broken from the eruption. Hermione panicked and so did the rest of the group, but Slughorn managed to fix the situation with a spell.

"Merlin's beard, " He shooked his head with disappointment. "Everybody, you are dismissed."

Everyone gave Hermione a questionable glance as they gathered their things to leave, she had never once had these kinds of incidents. Half of the class were glad for the early dismissal and some were glaring at Hermione.

"Blimey Hermione, what happened?" Seamus' asked with his eyebrows raised.

She didn't respond as Slughorn shuffled towards her who was trying to hide an angry look.

"As for you Ms. Granger, you will be clearing this mess, Five points will be deducted," Slughorn said. "I hope you have a free schedule today."

"Right now, actually," Hermione said and cast her eyes down, It's like when Draco's around, something bad happens to her. It was a very frustrating day, she looked like a disaster, she still had a headache and now, this happened.

"Right," Slughorn mumbled, "You can start right now."
Slughorn left the room with the rest of the class and closed the wooden door with a thud. She heard him complain about the way out.

Fixing the glasses was easy with the help of spells, but wiping away the stains was difficult. She had to use her hands, she scrubbed and scrubbed plenty of times to remove it. Two hours had passed, good thing it was her last left of the day. When everything was in shape, she gathered her things and left the room. She closed the door behind her, she turned around and saw a tall, lean figure leaning against the side of the wall.

"Where's pug-face?" Hermione folded her arms.

"Wow, didn't peg you for the jealous type," Draco said with a smug expression.

"Jealous?" She snapped. "Why would I be Jealous? Nevermind, don't answer that." She eyed him up and down. Draco always had this look, that could charm any girls but not her.

"What are you doing here anyway?" She acted formidable.

"None of your business, " he said. But Hermione didn't care, she sauntered off and left with a huff.

"I'm going to Hogsmeade, " Draco uttered.

"What?" Hermione stooped in her tracks and turned around. It was a very unusual day for her. She stared at him with her eyes squinted, as if she couldn't understand what he said.

"You can join me if you like, I don't care " he put his hands inside of his pockets. Draco acted so boldly but Hermione could see that he was nervous deep down.

"I thought we made a deal?" Hermione raised her eyebrow, but the corner of her lips smiled that it seemed like she was taunting him.

"If you think that this is gonna be a date, I will hex you." He scowled.

"I'm not assuming anything!" She said. "We made a pact, "

"Good." That was all Draco said before beckoning Hermione with his head to follow him.
