"What's up?" I say to Danie as I sit down at the kitchen table.
"Nothing I just wanted to see if you were okay."
" Ok well I am, as you can see."
"Haha smarty pants."
"So how are you and Cole?" That question took her by suprise.
"How'd you-"
"Danie you've been my best friend since diapers. I know you better than I know myself. That means I know when your crushing/ dating someone."
"Plus you put nice clothes on the bed." I finished.
She blushed.
"We're good. I mean he's amazingly perfect and he makes me happy."
I hugged her.
"I'm happy that your happy." I say.
"Well what about you Missy? How are you?"
"I could be better." I say truthfully.
I pick up my Root beer and take a sip.
"So how is Jivian?"
"What?"
"Jivian, like Jelena as in Justin bieber and Selena Gomez. Couple names. So its Jake and Vivian. I made that up myself."
I laughed.
"We aren't a thing." I say.
"No, the question is do you want to be?"
I hated when she did this. She made think when I didn't want to concentrate on certain things.
I was thinking before I spoke.
I really had mixed feelings about him. But his sweet personality and approachable attitude made him sorta irresistible.
"No." I huffed.
"Why would you even ask that question?" I ask.
"Because I know he has the hots for you." She said knowingly.
"Who told you that." I asked questionably.
"It says it all in his posture and stamina. Duh! For you to be soooo smart your pretty stupid, when it comes to guys."
"There not something I went to school for." I backfire.
She smirks.
"Your such a geek."
She chuckles to herself
I threw the dish towel in her face, and it landed on her pointy nose.
"Hahaha." I say in a mocking tone.
She pops me in the head with her index and middle finger.
"Ow!" I exclaim.
"What was that for?" I say.
Danie smirked and walked out of the kitchen.
I exit the kitchen and began to climb the long way to the top of the stairs.
Immediately upon reaching the top. The door bell rung.
"I hate these stupid stairs-." I mutter under my breath.
I swing the door ajar.
"Yes?" I ask.
In the entry stood Cole.
"Hey'" I exclaimed.
" Hey vivian."
I smile.
"How are you?" He asks.
"I'm so-so." I say.
"You?" I ask.
"Peachy." He smiles, showing off his deep dimples.
"Im guessing your here for Danie." I inquire.
"Yep."
"Come in while I get her." I say.
"DANIE!" I shout.
She descends the stairs gracefully. Wearing a white v-neck a black pencil skirt with black flats.
Her hair was crinkled from the french braids I did in her hair the night before.
I grin.
"My baby's growing up so fast."
I say in a motherly demeanor.
She shakes her head at me.
I turn In the direction of Cole.
"Have her home by 8:00 PM sharp." I verbalize with seriousness.
"Any later and I'll come looking for you and skin you alive." I utter smirking as I said the last part.
He nodded.
His faced showed calm and collective Cole but I knew. Oh i knew I scared him deep inside.
They walk to the door hand in hand.
"Have a nice night love birds." I grin.
Danie shoots me a death glare.
But I pretend I don't see her and walk up the stairs.
"I'm sorry Viv's really protective ignore her." I hear Danie utter quietly.
I laughed it was true I was protective, but she's just gonna have deal with it.
