eyes acute and aware of all those dwelling in her devious abode.

mindless dolts gaze and salivate, seeking a miracle
that will guide her allure to their anxious hands.

intense and composed, she continues dancing
waiting, waiting, for a love to whisk her away;
show her the true definition of forever.

she eagerly invites him into her arms
and they embrace the night with weary hearts.

morning comes, though her eyes rebuff the light.
she dares not reach for an empty warmth,
only the riches that echo a fresh memory will soothe her anguish.

for the time being, she will saunter to center stage
and curse her dreams.
her tears shall beg to be written for hope to be seen.

she loves in the moonlit night and breaks in the morning light,
nevertheless, she will dance till her next short love;
