On today's chapter we will be discussing festivities! Yayy!
One thing I've often found, is that in most Werewolf genre books. There isn't much around festivals. It doesn't have to be a religious festival. It can be something you've made up with your imagination, but I think it's nice to see something in a story that everyone can relate to.
In our previous discussions, we mentioned the key points of keeping readers hooked to your story. One of the vital aspects of having a successful story, is having something, an element in it. Which your readers can connect to.
Now as I mentioned above, adding the festival aspect in your books doesn't have to be a religious festival, for example, Christmas ( which can also be seen as cultural festival) But when it comes to writing.
Let your imagination run wild, so for example you can do a festivals for the wolves, linking it with the moon goddess concept. Or you can do a festival in which un-mated wolves can find their other half!
It always comes down to your wonderful imagination. I remember coming across a quote once that went along the lines of:
' Write something that you would like to read! Not what others want you to write'
I think that's quite powerful. In a sense where if you let your imagination run wild. You're allowing your voice and your thoughts to be heard, and that is the whole point of writing, I believe! And when you do that, your story is uniquely amazing to the other ones out there.
