the detective scoffed,
lunging back from

front of him.

visions of jack washing over him.
the boy was smiling and laughing.
the corners of his chocolate eyes
being wrinkled and his mouth
being wide open, showing his
pearly white teeth.
just him being him.
jack avery was a soul
that forever lingered
in zachs mind.

he whispered out,

being able to hear him.
