Drive me down to the bay
Let's listen to the fog horn sound
As the snow comes crashing down
Your car a bright red against the tired gray weather
The waves crash against our bridge
What do you think it's like up there?
Spread your wings and let's fly away
I can only count on this mortal world for so long
Because we are creatures who don't belong here
Fly with me to the top of the bridge
Perched like gargoyles
Our tongues tasting the snow flurries
Crouch along with me in city alleys
That remind me of my distant home
Together we hunt the lost spirits
Climb to the highest peak of cliffs
And watch the boats pass us
Eventually I must return you home
I must return to mine of small flowers and vines
And I perch so high on my wall
