ON OCTOBER 19TH, 2015, EDEN LAMBERT was just another unfortunate victim to have fallen prey to the Campus Killer. A life taken too soon; a face to be forgotten; a body to never be found. Well, that's what the world believed anyway. Now, she's a walking ghost amongst a group of fellow vigilantes, anonymously taking out the type of trash that the government are too afraid to. And by this, meaning herself and her delightful group of ghosts take down the criminals and terrorists from foreign countries that are far too powerful to be caught.
Well, plan to, at least.
You see, four years ago, Eden had, in fact, become the notorious serial killer's eighth and final victim. After being stalked for weeks without her prior consent ━━━ obviously, she found herself being abducted from her walk home when she decided to take a short-cut through the woods.
Cliché, she knows. She was practically asking for it.
What Eden didn't ask for, however, was to wake up chained inside of an empty warehouse for the killer to do God knows what. Well, she knew what. Like the seven others, he had planned to bind, rape and strangle before dissolving her body in a bathtub of acid. Only, this time, the CK quickly figured out that he had kidnapped the wrong girl. No, seriously, there was something wrong with her. He knew this right away. Because instead of screaming or crying, the girl sat patiently, slept well and even cracked jokes. And she did this without a care in the world because, thanks to the military training of her dead brother, when it was time for her to kick the bucket, she ━━━ metaphorically, of course, devoured that bucket until there was nothing left and used the handle to disembowel the man before her. Well, something like that went down anyway. So when the police discovered what was left of the Campus Killer and what was not left of Eden Lambert, the idiots had managed to illustrate an utterly ridiculous story.
After seven previous victims, the killer had only just felt the overwhelment of guilt and after disposing of his latest casualty, decided to gut himself as some twisted act of redemption. Ridiculous, she knows. But that's small-town cops for you. And instead of making a fool out of the very blatant fools, Eden allowed herself to simply become but an empty coffin in a world full of empty coffins. Because, soon after the whole warehouse conundrum, in the most peculiar of coincidences, Eden actually ran into her dead brother. Who, as a matter of fact, was apparantly not dead at all. So when her brother explains the reason behind faking his own death, Eden becomes the first recruitment out of six others to form an organisation he liked to call Ghosts. Because, just like them, it soon consisted of those dead to the world that wanted to make the difference they never could back in the land of the living.
So as they cut ties with everything they once knew, they erase their identities and become known only as their labelled numbers. With her egotistical brother claiming Number One, Eden quickly adapts to her new life as Zero.
Yet, when their first mission ends with a death of their own, a new recruit meant a new plan entirely. And this plan soon proved be the most perilous journey of their entire after-lives, striking danger, obstacles, the almost 100% guarantee of death and the forbidden flirting between herself and Number Four ━━━ a fearless thief with a British accent to die for.
If only she hadn't already.
But as long as they followed the rules, Zero reassured herself they'd be okay.
Because they can't get hurt if there are never any feelings involved, right?

hi! so, just a little update, I have recasted zero from florence to suki waterhouse as I feel it's a better fit and just wanted a change! I will however leave my graphics up of florence as I did spend a lot of time on them and so did you guys! if you'd like, you can ofc still picture her as florence, I just thought I'd switch it up a little! anyways, thank you so much for your support on this book. I'm still in awe!anyways, I hope you all really enjoy this book because I know I'm going to have so much writing it.
