The snow was falling down outside the window and you sighed, just 6 hours left and you where out from work for the last time before christmas. Usually you liked your job at the little cafe, it was cozy, peaceful and not that many people but still enough to make it go around and it was close to your apartment. And the best thing, it had books. All kind of books; fairytales, novels, thriller and horror. Your favorite was novels, love novels. "The Notebook", "Pride and Prejudice", "Romeo and Juliet" and the list goes on and on. As soon as you had break or it was really calm you took a book from the shelves and sat down in one of the big and comfy sofas with a steaming coffee beside.
But sadly this day was quite busy. People tried to avoid the cold snow and the biting wind so they took shelter inside the little cafe where it was warm and you could warm your hands around a hot cup of coffee. The volume where loud, people where laughing and talking, everyone excited for christmas that was just a few days away. You couldn't stop yourself from smiling when a little family stepped through the door. The children cheeks where red from the freezing air outside and the parents had snow in their hair. They where all dressed in beanies, mittens and scarfs and a smile on each face.
" Hello and welcome to Sweeties and Coffee, what can i help you with?" you smiled at the family. The children, two young boys, eyed the cookies with big eyes.
" i want one of that" the youngest of the boys said and pointed at the chocolate cookie.
" Okay, so we take two of those cookies, two coffees and two hot chocolate" the man said with a smile.
" Anything else?" they shook their heads no " okay than it's 15£ and 40 cent and i will come out with the coffee and chocolate in a few minutes" they paid and made their way to one of the empty tables.
After about 5 minutes later you had made their order, put everything on a tray and started to make your way to their table. Since the cafe was crowded with people it was quite hard to walk through it without bumping into someone or something. More than a few times you almost dropped your tray, but each time you managed to save it in the last second. Or you thought at least. Only about 2 meters away from the table there the family sat someone bumped into you and since the floor was slippery from the snow that had melted you fell, and the tray fell too. The hot drinks flew everywhere and the cookies crashed to the floor just like you should have done if not a pair of strong arms caught you. The strong arms slowly helped you up to a standing position again. After a quick check of your clothes, that have wiped cream all over it, you turned around to thank whoever saved you, but your thank you stopped when you saw who your hero was. The guy, yeah it was a guy, was beyond good looking. His brown curly hair was in a mess from the wind, his cheeks were a little red from the cold air outside and his lips looked pink and very, ehh, kissable. But it was his eyes that caught your attention the most. They were green, forest green and pierced into yours. You held each other gaze a few seconds before you remembered where you was and that his hands still was around your arms.
" ehh.. oh god i'm so sorry for that!" you murmured and took a step back, a blush blooming over your face. He chuckled a little and let go of your arms.
" Don't be, it's me who should be sorry, i didn't mean to bump into you like that" he said, still chucking a little.
" Oh no it's not your fault, it's me who should have been more observant!" you shook your head as you looked at the mess you had created " well i'm going to see if i can get someone to clean this up... It was nice to meet you eehh..." you said, looking at the guy awkwardly since you didn't knew his name.
" Harry" the guy said with a smile " and you are?"
" (y/n)" you smiled but then blushed when you met his eyes. Damn those eyes..
" Nice to meeting you (y/n)" he said with a wink. You gave him a last blushing smile before you headed back to the counter to find someone to help you with the mess.
3 hours later the mess on the floor was gone, the people started to go and less people came in. Even the snow had stopped falling from the sky. Now it was only about 10 people in the cafe and you could finally relax a little. You took one of the cloths and started to wipe the table. Harry sat at one of the tables in corner, his head deep down in some book and you really hoped he wouldn't see when you walked by him, but of course to your luck he did see you.
" Hey (y/n)? Can i get some more coffee, please?" he said still with his head down in the book.
" Eh sure, just black or?" you asked as you wiped of his table.
" With milk please" he now looked up and smiled a beautiful smile. It was literally breath taking. You mentally facepalmed yourself for thinking that, god you acted like school girl with her first crush. Anyways you nodded, gave him a smile and then headed back to the counter to make his coffee.
5 minutes later you stood in front of him, his coffee in your hand. You didn't know if you would say something or just put it on the table, but after a few more seconds of thinking you cleared your throat awkwardly.
" Eeh here's your coffee" Harry looked up when he heard your voice and put the book away. It was first then you saw what book it actually was, Romeo and Juliet. A chocked second you just stared at book, 'cause seriously not many boys in his age read love books like that one.
" Like the book?" Harry said, waking you up from your thoughts.
" eh yeah it's actually one of my favorites. Just a little surprised that you were reading it" you answered with a little awkward laugh and then also a blush when you met his eyes.
" oh one of mine too! And don't be surprised, you know never judge the book by it's cover" he winked with a smirk. You laughed, because it was true what he said and this time it was quite accurate.
" So, do you want to sit down or..." Harry said, pointed at the chair in front of him with a smile. You thought for a second. It was almost no customers and you had your 30 minutes break left.
" Sure why not" you smiled and sat down on the chair.
" Good choice" he smiled back at you, a smile that took your breath away.
So you and Harry started to talk, talk about almost everything. Books, movies, families, your jobs, yourselves, you name it! He was really nice and made you laugh so many times. The 30 minutes of your break where long time gone but you couldn't care less. Harry and you had such a lovely time and since no one told you to go back to work, you stayed there on the chair. The minutest just flew by, and you more time the went the less books it became in the book shelves and more on the table in front of you. It was surprising, but almost every book you had read had also Harry read. So you can say that you had a lot of talk about when it came to books. The amount of coffee cups also increased, after 3 hours of talking it stood 8 coffee cups on the table. And also four plates, one with a half eaten cookie on. As Harry reached after the cookie you looked at your phone and you let out a gasp of surprise. Harry gave you a puzzled look.
" you know what time it's? It's almost 8 pm, my mum is going to kill me!" you quickly stood up, reached after the plates but Harry's warm hand stopped you.
" Calm down love, why don't you call your mum and then you can stay here with me for a little while" his smile were sweet and calming but you still glanced skeptical at the door.
" If you want of course, you don't have to" he smile faded away a little, which made you smile and your heart fluttered.
" No i really want to stay here with you, but I don't know Harry, the cafe will be closing in about 5 minutes.." you voice faded away, a sad smile on your lips.
" We can close it" Harry said and took your other hand in his " say to your boss that we can close this place. I can even pay for staying here okay? I just want to spend more time with you in this place, it's really cozy" you smiled at his sweet words. Yeah why not, you thought.
" Okay, let me talk to him" you gave his hands a squeezed and then went back to the counter there you boss stood.
10 minutes later you had promised your boss that you would lock properly, called your mum, you had the keys in your hand and a chocolate cake in the other.
" (y/n) over hear" you turned around and saw Harry sitting in one of the couches in the corner of the cafe. You headed to the couch, sat down on the chair in front of Harry and when you looked up you saw Harry giving you a face that clearly said " really?". You looked confused at him until he patted the place beside him on the couch.
" come on i won't bite you" he smirked, pulling his hand through his hair. Without a second though you moved so you sat beside him, but with a quite big space between you of course. He gave you that look again before he shook his head, moved closer to you and put his arm on the headrest behind you. You tensed not used to have him so close to you, but at the same time you felt relaxed and you really liked it.
" (y/n) looked at me" Harry whispered, his voice giving you shivers all over your body. You did as he said and you got shocked when you saw how close he was. It was just a few inches between the two of you, you could feel his breath on your lips. His eyes went from your eyes to your lips then back up again, he licked his lips and shifted in his seat so he were even closer. You closed your eyes as you saw him leaning in and just a second later his smooth lips were on yours. As his lips met yours you tensed at first but then you kissed him back. The kiss started slowly to then get hotter and passionate. His hands were on your hips, pulling you closer to him, hugging you tighter. You had never kissed someone like this before, never this passionate but it felt so good.
You broke the kiss, you needed air and he needed it too, you both were out of breath.
" (y/n) I really like you, i know we just met and all this but i don't know.. i guess i have never felt like this before. You know what i mean?" he whispered, still hugging as close as before.
" I know exactly what you mean Harry coz i think i feel the same way. I really like you too Harry" you whispered back, a shy smile playing on your lips. Harrys face broke out in a breath taking smile, which made you blush.
" Good that you feel the same way, because i would never have let you go anyways" he said, his famous smirk back on his lips again. You laughed at his cockiness but got interrupted by his warm lips.
You staid there in the couch the whole evening and night laughing, talking and kissing. You had just met your prince charming.
