Five Years Later
"Mrs. Park, here are the files sent to you from SM Entertainment." My assistant says as she hands me the files of a group of artists from SM Entertainment to sign deals with my clothing business.
It's been five years since that awful accident. Sadly, only a few memories returned, and I couldn't help but accept my fate. Making new memories wouldn't hurt. I have everyone who has been patient and supported me here. I'm fine. Sooyoung was the assistant CEO of SM Entertainment while I took over mom's clothing business.
I've been living here in New York, yet my heart feels empty. Was it because I missed the life I had in Korea? Mom didn't want me to go back there because of the accident. My best friend, Kim Jisoo, is there, and mom only talked about her once, which was months ago. My friends here are not close to me, and I want to know who I was before. And Kim Jisoo is the only one that might help me regain my memories back. I rubbed my temple and sighed deeply.
"Is everything okay, love?" A voice startled me.
Sooyoung walks her way to me and cups my cheeks worriedly. I sigh again before giving a reply.
"I think I need a vacation."
"Vacation? Where would you like to go? Didn't you say you wanted to go to Paris? We could-"
"I want to go home." She looks at me, confused.
"Home?" She asks again.
"I want to go back to Seoul."
"Lov-"
"I don't feel at home here, Sooyoung-ah. At least give me a few months in Seoul." I pleaded, and I knew she was fighting in her head.
She sighs and looks at me. "Then whose going to be with you?" She asks softly.
"Mom once mentioned that I had a close friend."
"Kim Jisoo..." I heard her mumble, and I felt my heart beating fast.
She knew about Jisoo yet never mentioned her name to me before. Why did no one ever mention Jisoo? Mom said that we were like sisters. But why didn't she let me see her or even visit me? A shot of pain went into my system from those assumptions.
"I'll allow you to go back home." She says, and I swore I smiled so widely because I was finally about to leave this place.
"But, promise me you'll be alright? I can't be with you in Seoul since I have an important project pending." I nodded my head attentively. Although SM Entertainment is situated in Korea, being the assistant CEO meant she handles the business outside Korea.
She smiles sadly and kisses my forehead. "I'll try to work on the project fast so I can be with you in Seoul."
"And you'll take me to the places we've been before, right? All those adventures and food trips?" I say. I can't wait to revisit those places, especially where Sooyoung and I first met, our dates, and even our wedding.
"Y-Yeah, I promise." I hug her tightly.
"Thank you, I love you so much," I say, and I feel her freeze.
"Y-You what?" She asks, and I chuckle.
"I love you, Sooyoung-ah, so much, thank you," She smiles widely.
"I love you too, so damn much." She says as I notice her tears are about to fall.
I'm glad to have met a person like you, Sooyoung-ah.
~flashback~
I was lying down on the hospital bed, afraid and confused. I had no memory of these people in front of me.
"Love, it's us." The woman I saw first softly says as she tries to reach for my hands. But I moved my hand away from her reach.
"W-Who are you?"
Then a man wearing a white coat which I assume was the doctor, went near me. "Ruby Jane, she's your wife." He says, and I turn to avert my eyes from her. As if trying to verify in my empty head if it's true.
I widened my eyes when I knew I was married. I stared at my hand for a ring and felt my heart tighten when I saw my ring look exactly like hers.
"You're Ruby Jane Park. Park Sooyoung's wife." Mom went to me and held my hand.

"Careful," My wife gently says as she helps me with the crutches getting inside the house. I stayed silent and let her do what she wanted to do. I didn't want to argue since it would get me nowhere.
"Where are we?" I asked once we got inside the mansion. I look around and notice a lot of expensive furniture and decorations.
Sooyoung slowly touches my hand, creating a calming circular pattern, "Welcome home, love." I gasped at how huge our home was. Who would have thought that we were rich?

I happily went to get my phone and called my assistant to book me a flight to Seoul tomorrow. I can't wait to meet Jisoo. I'm hopeful enough that she can help me. If she can help me regain my memories, then maybe this emptiness inside me will all clear out.
"Love?" I hummed in response, telling her that I was listening.
She comes into the room with a broad smile plastered on her face. "I got Jisoo's address and contact number."
I smiled and kissed her on the lips. "How can I ever repay you?"
She smiles as she wraps her arms around my waist. "You being with me is enough."
"I love you, Ruby Jane Park," She adds and closes the space between us as we share one passionate kiss.

I bit my lip as a habit whenever I get nervous. I paced around the room as I tried to call Jisoo's contact number, it was the third ring, and I might cry if she won't answer.

ring~
"Hello?"
I teared up when the person I'd been waiting to speak with answered the call.
"Hello?"
Her voice sounds so familiar. My feelings began to calm as I felt comfortable with a simple 'Hello' from Jisoo.
"If you don't answer, I'll just hang up."
"W-Wait!" I panicked when she was about to hang up while I was busy with my thoughts.
"May I know who this is? It's three in the morning, for god's sake." She grumbled in annoyance, and I couldn't help but feel guilty. It was two in the afternoon here in New York.
"Jisoo, it's me," I mumbled softly, and I felt her voice hitched.
"Ruby Jane?" She called, and I started to tear up again. She remembers me.
"Is that you? The Ruby Jane Kim?" She asks as her voice begins to crack.
"It's me, Jisoo-yah," I struggled to keep it together.
"Yah! Where have you been!? I haven't seen you for like four years!" She scolded me, and I couldn't help but chuckle. This feeling felt too familiar.
"I'm coming home, Jisoo-ah. Do you think you can get me a place to stay?"
"Get you a place to stay!? You're staying at my place. Jesus Christ! You got a lot of explaining to do once you get here." I smiled.
"I guess I have. My flight is tomorrow, and I can't wait to see you, Jisoo-ah."
"I can't wait to see you too, RJ."
We ended the call, and I sighed in relief. I'm finally going back to the place my life started.

To avoid confusion, Jennie originally lived in New York with her family. Her parents call her; Ruby Jane, which is why everyone calls her that name. When Jennie moved to Seoul, she changed to Jennie and met Chaeyoung. Jisoo met Jennie in New York before leaving for London for her dreams.
