"you're home early"
"yeah," places her jacket on the counter
"how's ryker"
"he's" pauses and leans against the counter, "fine"
"leave it to ryker to hide his pain"
nods and whispers "that's ryker"
"what's the deal?"
looks up at her mom "hm?"
"something's wrong"
shakes her head
raises her brows "i'm your mother rory, what happened with ryker?"
"nothing" sighs "we just got into an argument"
"about?"
shakes head "i'm going to bed"
"no" points to the table "sit" goes to the fridge
sighs and sits down
places a glass of warm milk in front of her "if you want it."
holds the glass in her hands
"what did you guys fight about?"
places her lips on the edge of the class, feeling thewarmth "he always makes it about me...it's never about him"
"ryker cares about you rory, he loves you,"
"before you say that he has a girlfriend"
"you know what i mean rory, girlfriend or not he does but that's not what the fight was about i assume"
sighs with a nod, then closes her eyes takes a long sip of the warm milk
smiles softly
"i don't like being like this mom" looks into her glass "he acts like i do this on purpose...and i can't help it" her voice cracks,
sighs and scoots closer to rory's chair "i know, i blame myself all the time"
"mom it's not your fault"
eyes water "i have it too rory,"
sighs "i know"
"i push you because i want you to get better, to have the control ..." wipes her eyes "i got better and i know eventually you will too, you just have to accept that it's always going to be a part of you"
