Lisa PoV
I was outside of the guitar shop and I took out my phone to see the guitar Chaeyoung wanted. Jennie sent me the photo and she also told me what type of bike Chaeyoung's old one was.
I went into the store, got the guitar quickly and hurried off to my next destination which was the bike store. I cycled speedily through the streets of Seoul and the cold air didn't affect me one bit. The guitar on my back couldn't weigh me down and all that was in my mind was making Chaeyoung smile again. Today she was so upset and she didn't even felt like eating lunch even though she loved to eat. She held back her tears for the whole day and she distanced herself from everyone, even me.
The thought of making her smile made me giddy and as soon as I arrived at the bike store I jumped off my bike and ran in.
"Hi miss how can I help you?"
"Do you have the 1936 currys bicycle?"
"I'm sorry but we don't have that here but we do have a model similar if you like vintage bikes"
"Could I have a look at them?"
"Sure"
She brought me to this room of bikes and this one bike caught my eye. I immediately pointed at it
"This one" I spoke out
"Oh the ginger snap 20"
"How much does is cost?" I asked
"350,000 won" (that's around $300 or £220)
Shit, shit, shit! I payed 500,00 won for the guitar and then if I loose 350,000 won I literally can't have lunch or breakfast anymore.
I took a deep breath in and took out my card
"I'll buy it but could I leave my bike here and pick it up later?"
"Sure" the store assistant replied
"Thanks"
"You're Lisa right?"
"Yeah how do you know me?"
"My whole family watches football and my younger sister goes to your school"
"Really?"
"Yeah you're like her idol"
"Well tell her I say hi from me what's her name?"
"Sohee"
"Oh she's a first year right?"
"Yeah she went to your school so she could see you" she chuckled
"I'm flattered"
"Well here's your bike"
She brought it towards me
"Thanks"
I walked out of the store with Chaeyoung's bike in hand and opposite the store I saw a place where you can engrave initials or names on objects. I thought that I could get Chae's name engraved on the bike. I ran up to the place with the bike in hand and the guitar on my back.
"Hi sir could you please engrave this bike please"
"You're Lisa aren't you!"
"Yeah" I smiled at him
"For a fine player like you I would never expect to see you in front of my work place"
"Well thanks sir" I felt so appreciated of what he said about me
"What would you like engraved on this bike?"
"A name"
"A name?" He repeated
"Yes sir"
"Pass the bike over here kid"
I gave him the bike
"So who is this person called?"
"Ros-Chaeyoung" I cleared my throat
"Chaeyoung?"
"Yes"
He was off to work and the time he was nearly finished with her name I thought off something else
"Wait" he stopped working
"Yes?"
"Could you engrave under it smaller letters 'love lisa' "
"Oh so you and this Chaeyoung guy must be very close" he winked at me and continued his work
"Yeah she means a lot to me" I said with my whole heart
"A girl? She must be very pretty with a name like that and she's dating the great Lisa Manoban!"
"I'm not that great sir" I laughed
"So why are you getting her this bike?"
"Her old one broke and it meant a lot to her, I also got her this guitar" I pointed at the instrument on my back
"Wow you must have a lot of cash cause you got her some fancy bike and a guitar"
"Not really sir this is basically all of my savings"
"Really kiddo?"
"Yeah" I sighed
"She must be very important then"
As soon as he said that he finished working on the bike
I looked at the bike and it said 'to chaeyoung love lisa'
"Thanks so much sir! How much for?"
"For free"
"No I have to pay" I refused to get things for free after someone has worked so hard on something
"Please, lets just say it's a present and a good luck for everything with you and Chaeyoung"
"You can't give it to me for free"
"Well take it or leave it I'm pretty sure you have pennies anyways"
"Take my pennies sir"
"Lisa you're a good person and one day money will be the last thing of your problems so good people like you deserve good acts of kindness back for things you do"
"You barely now me" I smiled at him
"I know enough about the good in people and you are definitely a kind one. Now go get that girl!"
"Thanks so much!"
I ran off with the bike and guitar to my last destination which was school. I checked my watch to check the time..sorry Jisoo but I guess I wasn't going to practice. It was 5' o clock and Chaeyoung would normally be in the library right now. I headed to the school garden and left the bike and the guitar by a tree. The dim lights lit up the garden even though it was quite dark already. Winter evenings always came too early every year. The frozen flowers stood around the place delicately and the leafless trees towered over them.
Since this place was at the back of the school and the bushes hid this place so well I used to make out with girls here but after meeting Chaeyoung I haven't been here in a while. I looked back at the items I got her and ran to the library where she would be studying and doing some extra homework
As I passed through corridors and doors I finally arrived in front of the library panting. I really did a lot of running today!
I stepped inside the place and tried to not make a sound searching the place for a certain girl. As I went through book shelves and columns of them I looked to the other side of the shelf I was standing next to and had a glimpse of Chaeyoung looking through books. She looked very concentrated and in the zone but I walked closer to her from the other side whilst she didn't recognise me.
She pulled out a book that was in front of me and our eyes met
"Boo!" I whispered
"Lisa!"
People were slightly startled by her and she ducked down noticing the fact.
"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be at practice?" She said in a small tone
"I should but instead I need to show you something" I replied
"Now?"
"Yeah"
I managed to drag her out of the library and took her by the hand without thinking we walked to the garden.
"What do you need to show me?" She asked with curiosity
"Something now cover your eyes"
"Are you going to mug me?" She joked
"No silly it's just the back of school" I laughed
I brought her towards the tree
"Exactly but Lisa what are we doing here?" Chaeyoung asked
"You'll like it"
"Well I don't like secrets"
"Calm down"
We came to a stop
"Can I open my eyes now"
"Yes"
The bike and the guitar stood in front of her and the face she made was priceless. For the first time today she smiled which made me smile even more
"Oh my god! Why did you get me these things?" She looked at me
"Do you like it?"
"I mean yes but you didn't have to at all!"
"Have a look at it" I told her
She first went to the guitar and slowly opened the case
"You can open it Chae" I smiled at her
"Just checking" she laughed and looked at me
As she took the whole guitar out she was even more shocked
"Lisa...why? Why did you go out of your way and get this for me"
"That's not the only thing take a look at the bike"
She still had her jaw dropped and as she touched the bike she saw the engraved writing on it.
"To Chaeyoung love Lisa"
"Yeah I thought it was a good idea if you know..."
I started to turn all shades of red
"Lisa thank you so much!"
She surprised me by tackling me with a hug. We stayed in each other embrace for a moment.
Her hands traveled up to my chin and she directed me to look down at her. She stared at my lips for a long time but then she cleared her throat and looked at my eyes. Her hands went down to my shoulders and sat there
"This was the nicest thing someone had ever done for me and thank you so much" she started to tear up
"Hey don't cry" I wiped the tears off her face
"I'm just so happy and shocked because no one has ever done this for me before"
"Well I did" I said proudly
"You're the best but I can't imagine how much the guitar and the bike costed together"
"No matter how much something costs if you need it or want it I'll always give it to you"
I got closer to her lips with mine and I could hear my heart beating like crazy. The adrenaline in me and my love for Chaeyoung is so high and I just go crazy by looking at her but my lips finally landed on hers.
The kiss was slow but sweet, we both wanted to kiss each other and everything about this was perfect.
We pulled apart
She was blushing and started to stutter
"I-uh-we-I mean-"
"Be my girlfriend Chae"
She looks at me stunned and to be honest I was too. I can't believe I just said that
Her eyes were directly looking at my eyes filled with shocked. She was silent but she didn't break off holding each other which was a good sign I guess
"Chaeyoung I really like you to the point where I don't care about what others say or what is okay in my mind. My love for you is endless and it's brought up to the point where I can't stop thinking about you; I think about you first thing in the morning, my way to school, in every lesson, in lunch, whenever I pass by your locker, hangout with Jisoo, in lunch, at football practice, at home and before I go to bed! I literally go crazy about you and you just standing in front of me just makes me melt, your voice, lips, hair, figure just everything about you is perfect! You have a heart of gold and I'm willing to give you my everything and if you're not ready I will wait until the day I can make you mine but having a smile on your face is enough for me"
She was still staying silent
"i will always love you" I was close to tearing up
